The banter between Rao Jing and Zhao Fang Gang is as good as I've seen in a drama. It's just fun to watch them at each other's throats, but in a cute way. Given a good script, I'd love to see a Rom Com with those two as leads. The actors playing them are also excellent, especially Wang Zhen Er who (in my opinion) is the best actor in the cast.
60 seconds in and we have a non-consensual kiss. Perhaps not the best start to a drama, but at least he didn't physically restrain her as he kissed her, which I've seen in some other dramas. Now after 4 episodes, I feel a little differently about that opening 5 minutes. Although I'm ALWAYS against non-concensual sexual activity of any sort (from kissing someone on the mouth to having sex with them), in this case I find his behaviour forgivable. What we have is a naive young ML without the ability to (easily) communicate with the FL - so he acted impulsively to communicate how he felt. Again, his behaviour was wrong, but I think forgivable given his situation. After 4 episodes, what I'm now seeing is a ML who is a genuinely nice person (although still immature) who is head over heals in love with his Noona and would do anything for her. People make dumb mistakes, but no one should be defined as a person by one single bad decision. Overall, the drama was OK. The concept was interesting, but the execution could have been better in my opinion. The ending was done particularly well, wrapping up the various subplots satisfactorily. 7.5/10
I'm up to episode 14 and I'm really enjoying this show. I do like how cute and innocent most Chinese dramas are - its one of the reasons I watch them. But for a woman approaching 30 who has been living with her boyfriend / fiancé for four months, to be embarrassed about her boyfriend / fiancé seeing her bra in the laundry is a bit much. If the writers wanted to use the hide the bra trope, they really should have done it right at the very start of their cohabitation when it would have made more sense. Likewise when the FL looks away so she can't see the ML's shirtless torso. This level of prudishness is just silly after they've been living together for so long.
This is actually shaping up to be the best k-drama of the past decade maybe even ever, the characters, the emotions, all…
This is the only drama I've ever rated 10/10. I'm embarrassed to admit that the first time I started watching it, I dropped it. I'm very happy that I gave it a second chance.
Someone recommended this drama to me because the main leads have great chemistry like in As Beautiful as You.…
I've just finished episode 9, and I'm enjoying the show, but one thing just doesn't compute. The FL was in a relationship with her ex for 7 years, so I'm assuming she was sexually active. So then why is she now acting like a shy 13 year old girl who's just got her first boyfriend. What's with the sleeping in different rooms? Why did she "marry" him if she just wants to be his flatmate?
You'd have to elaborate for those of us who don't have any idea what you're talking about. But do place it under…
This movie is: https://mydramalist.com/2567-lust-caution The scenes were several very explicit sex scenes that are so realistic, there is genuine debate whether or not they were simulated (genitalia was visible). I think it is extremely likey the sex was simulated, even though in recent times the actors involved have hinted otherwise - I suspect they were just being mischievous. Because China has such strict censorship laws, Tang Wei suffered professionally for her decision to participate in those scenes. She was blacklisted from working in China for about 4 years.
honestly speaking I never get sex scenes... like why show them at all?.. what do sex scenes add to a story? seriously…
Sex scenes done tastefully are an important part of SOME stories. But I believe that many sex scenes in many dramas and movies add very little, and sometimes nothing at all to the narrative. This is especially the case for highly explicit sex scenes, which in my opinion, ALWAYS exist primarily for the titillation of (predominantly) male viewers. Such scenes rarely convey much emotional connection between the lovers, and often reduces the encounter to a purely physical interaction.
Sorry, you are correct. I have amended my previous post. The West has done so many great things the past 70 years.…
Standing up for what right ... like cheating on every one of your three wives? Sleeping with porn stars and nude models (one of which he married), walking unannounced into a dressing room of naked teenage girls, sexually assaulting at least one, and probably at least several more women. That sort of standing up for what's right, right? If you want God's will done, then why are you opposed to oppressed minorities having their situation recognised and improved. Before you start throwing around the word "woke" as a pejorative, perhaps you should read the sermon on the mount.

My god. How can you be this clueless and still remember to breath? The fact that someone who had publically committed to supporting democracy and the peaceful transition of power (Harris) should be compared to a Nazi or Communist, while the person who does not support the peaceful transition of power, is known to court autocrats and even attempted a soft coup is your preferred "democratic" candidate is just too ironic for words.

It is simple, cute, funny and easy to watch. I'm 6 episodes in and I'm loving it. It is a very different show than is The Loyal Pin, which is obviously more serious and sexy.
