There is nothing homophonic in either Rogan or Trump. Both are allies for decades. Trump was hosting gay ceremonies in his mansion when Obama and Hillary were still denying them of human rights (they did turn around later only because public polls have showed societal attitude change).

To be fair, is nothing “right”, let alone “far right” about Rogan. He was a major supporter of Sanders when he was running, and Rogan critiques Trump’s immigration policy theatrics.

Obviously, criminal organisations are not roaming in cities and killing random people right there in mansions and night clubs. Things are way more smooth and discreet. Targets are usually lured out and/or kidnapped and disappear for a “talk” or forever.

Tay’s character Shin did not have to flee with other two main characters, of course.

The assassins that were shown to kill whoever right on the spot fumbled a murder in a silly way because they wanted to pose or talk in this case.

They asked for only a million baht from a filthy rich person? This is just $30K, you can not do much with it, the more so split into two parts.

Instead of killing the two extortionists right away as he was ordered to do, the assassin has randomly decided to disobey the order and ask again what to do with them. But even then he has decided to hold speeches instead of murdering them right away.

The way the extortionist lad had all of a sudden become a noble knight towards a cynical thieving whore is not believable.

The same goes for Tay’s character. He has only knew both extortionists for like five seconds but suddenly wants to risk it all for them.

In this series it seems like everybody starts to trust and care within like five seconds of knowing each other. No a random motel host is already refusing big money to save the fugitive trio and wants them to help with killing her husband, even though she could have got the money and kill her husband anyway.

WAIT, the motel hostess has killed bee husband holding a gun with her bare hands, with the bulk of biological traces on the trigger belonging to her, not the fugitive lass. Is she insane?

WAIT, why did the fugitives come to a brother of one or them? That would be one of the earliest places to search for both the police and the criminals.

WHAT? The hitmen were photographing all of their victims both alive and then killed and stored it on a flash drive? Impossible, no one have done anything like that. What usually is a incriminating evidence that theoretically can be loaded to a flash drive is financial transaction data for tax evasion, kickbacks, offshores, etc.

COME ON, why did they make Tay’s character confess and trying to kiss someone without coming out first and establishing that the other lad is also gay/bi? This scene was absurd, not believable.

Why did not they leave Tay’s character in a secret place before coming to another crime boss to negotiate?

Why the trio has lots of silly dialogues during actions scenes when they have no time for this?

The security somehow disappears from the building, so the trio can easily escape and two enemy assassins can come right to the boss to shoot him. Hotels now only allow to enter staff who has IDs with biometrics.

OF COURSE, when there was a chance to fight back against at least some of its pursuers, there were dramatic poses and speeches, but action, the assassin was not killed.

A VERY naive rendition of how criminal organisations operate (not this way at all), but cute, I guess. But I wish they would have made more efforts in the research and consulting about this.

But, of course, we are in the fantasy BL world, where things do not have to make sense, so the drawback should not preclude anyone from enjoying the series. After all, in 2025 we had snake-breeding gay gangs in Revenged Love series, and it was still fine, LOL.

AN INTERESTING note in regards to the waiter ladyboy, played by Jenny:

The actor is a boy, hence the “boy” part in the “ladyboy” term, and s/he is using male pronouns just as fine as female ones and has no plans for any transition surgeries. Except for added boobs nothing was/will be done.

So no need for any Western worries about misgendering or anything. The Western issue is, as always, hubris and arrogance, trying to apply or install whatever “norms” it currently has to other countries and cultures with zero respect or care about how people live and think there, hence no concept of what “ladyboy” is.

But, of course, there are ladyboys who are that only as a transition state, as shown in this series on the example of this waiter character. Some people do want to have surgeries and become females.

Though it is not that common in Thailand as there is less pressure on people to conform to a specific gender and role. No one really there is looking at ladyboys and immediately thinks “Why did not you do the surgery yet?”

To be fair, this simply means that Earth character as a person is not that good, if he does not understand that he needs to apologise.

His sentiment about this comes from idea that Apo loves him anyway and does not mind ruff play, but what he does not understand that if he would be a good person he would talk it out beforehand or, at the very least, apologise after.

However, this is what happens in real life as some people are like that.

So this alone does not make the series bad. For another example, in the best films ever like Godfather and many others characters do things as bad or much worse, like murder, and never apologise, too.

Fictional characters are not actors/idols who are expected to apologise for everything. They can be as bad as regular people can be in real world and as the story requires.

Not every character is like Dostoyevsky’s Crime And Punishment hero.

I personally do not like Earth’s character at all even besides the apology issue. He is pretty bad in a lot of ways and I would hate myself if I fell in love with him.

AGAIN we have a fake girlfriend that can never be broken with, which is absurd and there are zero reasons not to break up her. The more so dating does not involve any vows of love until death does us apart or something.

This drama trope is completely fake, and it is in the most of Thai BL series of the 2010s. It cheapens the supposedly larger than life love of the lad who can never break up with his fake girlfriend on his own volition.

Earth character behaves like a seven year old in regard to his father and his romance, which is not quite believable.

The show is giving a horrible fitness advice for swimmers, recommending to eat short hydrocarbons, which should only be done in extreme cases. Normally you should never do this because short hydrocarbons cause insulin spike that converts glucose into fat, the worst thing for any person doing sport.

WAIT, what kind of “betrayal” Kan did to Earth’s character? Either they were married, or this is nonsense. Kan loving Earth character’s father is not a betrayal in any way.

The sound quality in this series is bad. So much noise. The overall production is very cheap.

How would you confess to a seemingly straight friend without ruining the friendship?

It might be not possible at all, but the best way I thought of is a soft confession where you indirectly let him know about your feelings in a way that would allow him to completely avoid this issue, if he wishes to still continue the friendship.

But before that, he needs to know you are gay and not be scared of this in principle. That should be the step zero.

BTW, even though this series has a happy end, it is still pretty sad because the lads have wasted like four years of not doing fun with each other before they have finally confessed.

It does have a tranquil pace, so it should fit the mood.

I first watched as a part of Close To You anthology that has several random series incorporated, but this time it is a fuller separate series in the correct order of events.

I LIKE how the main lad barely shows any emotions at all. Usually young actors try to be theatrical to prove how expressive they can be, but lots of real life people are not that at all, and you can not understand much what they are thinking or feeling. The director has given the actor correct instructions.

The lad is a cutie. Does he plan to combine his music career and acting? I wish he would.

Why Piglet, though? Is s/he similar to the baby animal?

You did not immediately recognise him beause this is an old series before his prime and before he has did a nose job to feel more comfortable about this. It has worked out great.

BTW, on an unrelated note, this is kind of classic GMMTV BL series because none of the main actors here are actually gay or even bi. This is the company’s unspoken policy. They only ever signed up a few who are not straight, and even that was by mistake or as exception.

I did not understand why the fire clan has become so overwhelmingly powerful even before collecting and merging the four evil artefact pieces, so it crushing other clans so easily does not make much sense.

The whole project of reassembling the evil artefact looked evidently unnecessary after the attack on the cloud clan in episode 11.

The cloud clan specialises in defence and that the ribbons help with barriers. But this all is a joke because the clan has immediately failed both in defence in general and with the barriers upkeep specifically.

Thus the events of the novel and the series devalue the very core of the word building the author was creating up to that point. It all had turned to be meaningless and it had cheapened the narrative, what is one of the known critiques of The Untamed.

Wait, why did the cloud lad who was always carrying an evil artefact piece with himself came out of the hidden cave and gave the piece to the Wen clan? He has devalued all of his clansmens’ deaths by doing this. They did not need to die at all, if the result is that the piece is not guarded and just given away anyway.

Why did not Wei use his magic against a giant wolf in episode 12?

Come on, crutches are known for thousands of years.

Why did the clan leader take his daughter to a far away land, a dangerous trip? Back in the day daughters would never be allowed to do such travels. They are not trained to take such hardships.

Why are not they closing gates before enemy?

Why did not the clans get together to better protect themselves, united, but have spread to their residences to their could be defeated easily? Makes no sense.

What? Another clan leader was killed in like one second. Neither he nor his assassin wife were able to kill any enemies of note, not even tertiary grade captains from Wen clan. The series is always devalues its own world. The supposedly strong characters went away cheaply.

Their son is nearly always in a hysteria state, while in reality noble families teach stoicism.

Why is he crying about his core melted, if he was a useless weakling even with it intact? There would be still not way for him to succeed in revenge.

The sister is way too old to be not married, unless she is ill and can not have children.

The timeline titles like “16 years ago”, “7 years later” etc make no sense because the story within the huge flashback actually starts 32 years before the resurrection. It lasts to 16 years before, when Wei was killed.

It is not believable how no one in episode 27 who has known Wei for years and who can actually see that he was not in the wrong was really trying to defend him, except for some young lads from the golden clan.

The named brother of Wei Jiang could have decided to side with his saviours and Wei, but did not, which is dubious.

The Wen branch lass’ idea to surrender herself and her brother for killing golden clan people as an attempt to save Wei from future attacks makes no sense because it is obviously too late at this point. The only rational thing to do was to repent, living a quiet life.

No one else had to die after the tragic accident, but the whole Wen clan has died.

Wait, why did the sister went crazy and ran into the middle of a wild melee to be killed?

Also, why would a competing flute be stronger than Wei’s?

Why would Wei did not scream about that there was another flute to explain it?

I hate when a novel is trying to extremely ambitious by making named brothers eventually kill each other, but not being able to describe a path to this that is not silly.

Wait, they did not finish off the evil lad so he could do one more attack? This makes no sense. Also, he had his hand chopped off then, but the filming crew simply had made the actor to put his hand in the torso part or his costume, what had looked pretty bad.

Did the show forget about the evil lad’s initial secret goal he had joined the evil Wen clan to aid it with collecting the evil amulet shards?

Also, it is not possible that that round amulet would have a fifth secret part because it would not be possible to combine in a circular object then.

Why nobody of high profile visitors of the secret chamber of the main villain have suspected that his wife was under a spell, including Wei, who has seen the villain doing it?

Why did not Wei say that he saw the head via a paper puppet?

Why it is a mystery to Alan Wang Jo’s brother whether the main villain is that or not? It is not hard to add two to two just by wondering who could have possibly release the Xue mass murderer from the captivity. Other factors are not even necessary.

Obviously, people travelling with no baggage on a horse train, always wearing light clothes with long sleeves etc makes no sense.

Jiang Cheng is the saddest character. He was unfit and incompetent since the very beginning and was still stupid in maturity, really useless and pathetic.

Why were not the evil amulet shards destroyed in the first place? They did it just fine later after beating the evil Wen clan.

I have checked it.

After the success of The Untamed series in 2019 the lad’s former girlfriend came out with claims of emotional abuse, infidelity and coercion into an abortion.

However, no such things were ever confirmed, and the lad has issued an apology about the way things have ended between them, though denying any coercion to abort the baby.

Becaue of the lack of evidence that would support the lass’ claims and this peculiar time she came up with the accusations, the public has concluded it was an act of bitterness from a former disgruntled lover, not a genuine case of the lad being guilty of anything.

But there was also a 2024 scandal where a female producer has accused the lad of cheating with his manager lady, but also came up with her own set of abuse allegations. That did not work, either, becaue that producer lass has made similar accusations against her other former lovers.

The overall takeaway that those scandals were not conclusive in any substantial way for the cancel culture to work. Most people who were looking at those scandals were not buying it because of the lack of evidence.

The story is still good, despite some flaws, just as the whole series itself. The issues I listed are not critical. Otherwise, the rating would have been way lower or I would have even dropped watching.

Were the claims a revenge on him or he has admitted and apologised? Those are usually the variants that allow to continue a career.

Did they eventually release a director’s cut at least for international audience?

I have watched those series because of actors Mew and NewYear since they do not have too many BL series they acted on. I thought it will be trash, based on the low rating. Turns out I was not cynical enough about such things, LOL.

By now I have watched quite a number of series, but I have not ever downvoted anything for anything else other than the production issues.

But, apparently, passions express themselves differently and some people become overzealous in a bad way.

It might be the same thing as when people go to YouTube videos to write hate comments or to X (Twitter) for harassment campaigns.

I understand that the people have a psychological need to do that, and that it is in their inborn nature.

By as admitting that I am trying to be less judgmental, especially because another consequence of this point is that me not being this way is not my earned virtue. I am not fighting against myself to not be nasty about things, while others have to do some moral effort to restrain themselves.
