This is a well done miniseries that deals with palace conspiracies, revenge, intrigue, and romance within a historical setting. The drama has a mix of the aforementioned genres but it is a lighthearted drama that is meant to get the leading couple to get into an arrange marriage and, while plotting to get resolutions to their own missions, they fall in love and work together to uncover the antagonist’s plot. As a short drama, the editing and some dialogues make some parts feel rushed but most of the drama flows nicely and the leading couple has a well developed relationship with good chemistry. Overall, this drama is entertaining, enjoy it!

This is a cute short drama set in historical times that is just for passing time. The cast’s acting skills were weak and the drama needed more time to create events cohesion. It is a short romantic comedy and the leading couple had a nice chemistry that seemed as they had fun in the making of this drama. The leading couple carries out the drama since it is about the developing relationship between the ninth lord Cang Lan Ye with two personas in one body: human and demon (played by Cavan Wen) and Ye Luo, a girl with supernatural powers that came from the future (played by Lu Fang Qi) and how they fall in love as they encounter and fight the antagonists in the story. As said before, this miniseries is not to be taken seriously but it is fun and entertaining.

This review is for seasons 1 and 2 together.

This review is for seasons 1 and 2. Both seasons are fantastic. The cast did a great job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has a splendid relationship that develops into a beautiful, steadfast, and heartwarming romance with very good chemistry. It is refreshing to see He Lian Xuan (played by Wang Zu Yi) and Leng Li/A Qi (played by Wen Mo Yan), two very intelligent characters, as they get closer and stronger to become a devoted power couple. Since it is a miniseries divided into two seasons, it is best to see one right after the other to appreciate that, although the production is not perfect, the both seasons are well done in matters of production value. These miniseries have a substantial plot that could have been better served if turned into a long format drama. Overall, both seasons are worth watching and entertaining. Enjoy it!. "Love at Second Sight" is a short web drama that had potential but the main leads don’t have good chemistry and for a male lead that is a great catch, the plot really messed with him too many times. The female lead is wrong over and over again and the male lead deserves better. The female lead is not even completely honest with her best friend about the real reason to why she broke up with him and her friend is always barraging him with false accusations that the female lead doesn’t care to correct and portrays herself as the victim. Wang Zu Yi (as Gu Yi Bei, the male lead) is great bringing his character to life and shows a good range of emotions but Shao Yu Qi (as Su Nan, the female lead, lacks proper use of facial expressions and body language. Overall, the drama was not convincing in bringing the leading couple’s relationship to a satisfactory end since the end seems more like a dream.

Wife Above All is a miniseries set in a historical era that tries too hard to give the audience a comedy, action, revenge, and romance plot but it does not deliver any of these genres properly. The female leads are the dominant characters in the story and the male leads, which got married with ulterior motives, go to a process of learning how to become the right husband for their respective wives while battling a court antagonist, diseases, lies, and revelations. The drama is not well written for the main characters and one of the couples, Mo Jing Yu and Yun Zi Long , even after they supposedly fall in love and are willing to die for each other, end up been separated at the end in just an amicable and nonsensical way. The second couple, Mo Ban Xia and Qin Chong Lou, had a better storyline and it was nice to see them falling in love and supporting each other. The only well done part of this drama is the insightful and comedic side story at the end of every episode.

Story of Kunning Palace is a magnificent production set within a historical period to bring a well written and better executed tale of redemption for Jiang Xue Ning (played by Bai Lu) and the masterfully revenge plan of the male lead Xie Wei (played by Zhang Ling He). There are many and long reviews analyzing plot and characters that are true to the story so my review is to simply tell the audience that this drama is excellent and a must watch. The drama has a stellar cast and the cast did a fantastic job bringing their characters to life, but I must have to reiterate that Bai Lu and Zhang Ling He were brilliant in their portrayal of Jiang Xue Ning and Xie Wei, two intelligent, strong, and steadfast characters that were brought together by fate and became a force to be reckoned with. Everything is played extremely well in this drama; from well designed palace antics, great action scenes, a slow burned romantic plot with a prolonged building of emotions that burst into an unwavering, blazing, and beautiful romance, beautiful and playful friendship to heart wrenching moments brought by greed and betrayal, and all the way to a well plotted resolution and a beautiful happy ending. This one is a masterpiece, enjoy it!!!

What Is Wrong With My Princess is a well produced and performed revenge miniseries. The sequence of events advanced in a natural way and the actors, for the most part, did quite well bringing their characters to life. It is a revenge plot so the romance portion of it is gradual and subtle but the leading couple has great camaraderie as the female lead exact her revenge but there was not much in matters of the fluttering feelings of falling in love with your destined one. The antagonists did great as they were plotting together and their relationship as lovers was much more credible than the leading couple. It must be said that Mu Le En (as Murong Xin Er) brought her antagonist character of a rotten spoil wretch deluded from jealousy and hatred towards the female lead to high levels. The miniseries is well written and maybe, with lengthier episodes, the characters could’ve been more flesh out to intensify the revenge and romance of the leading couple. Overall, this is a nice production, enjoy it!

Fated to Love You is a miniseries set during a historical period. This drama had some strong points regarding the main male lead and his dealings with the antagonists which he resolved even with the help of the main female lead but the drama is supposed to be about the leading couple and their fated romantic union. Although the leading couple had a very good camaraderie, steadfast feelings for each other, and a cute playful relationship, their romantic intimate scenes lack excitement. Even though the ending is a happy one, it is uneventful and boring. This drama is okay to watch while waiting for a great one to come!

Bride's Revenge is a well written and produced miniseries. This drama is about simply revenge and not really about the romance between the leading couple. Although there is certainly a nice, smart, and tender relationship between Ye Qing Lan (played by Qu Meng Ru) and Mu An Cheng (played by Vincent Wei), they don’t get together until the very end of the story, but the audience gets to see them working together to bring the villains to justice. The female lead starts as a nice and lovely girl that is force to become calculative and cold hearted by the antagonists in the story proving that, even though revenge is never sweet, it will sure give the victim a sense of satisfaction knowing that justice was served. The cast did a very good job bringing their characters to life and the drama was entertaining. Enjoy it!

This is a drama that could’ve been great but it was not properly abridged. The jump on scenes and plot twists come too abruptly and, in the processed of trying to keep the audience in suspence, the sequence of events and characters’ reactions don’t make a lot of sense. Although there are logical explanations by the end of the series relating the male lead Wei Shang Zhi’s unfortunate marriages and his real reason to marry the leading lady Bai Zhi, the narrative was all over the place and it made the drama’s plot feel disjointed. The actors did the best with what was given to them but, even though the leading couple had some nice moments, their relationship lacked intimacy in their romantic chemistry. Overall, this drama missed a great opportunity to even be good enough to watch.

Revival is a nice miniseries about a mute girl named Mo Yun (played by Zhao Yi Fan) and Quan Yu Xi (played by Qiu Bai Hao), the Chairman of Quan Corporation. Quan Yu Xi Mo Yun is sold by her family to the Quan family that superstitiously believe that a girl with a disability can help him wake up from a “comatose” state after an accident. As a result of this incident, Mo Yu finds herself involved in the power struggles of the Quan family and other people around them. Quan Yu Xi and Mo Yun fall in love but they became estranged after Mo Yun suffers a miscarriage which she believed was caused by Quan Yu Xi and leaves China to, three years later, come back and exact revenge on those that hurt her. From this point on, the drama gets more interesting and Quan Yu Xi leaves no stone unturned to try to rekindle his relationship with Mo Yun. The leading couple has a nice chemistry but the female lead needs to work on her facial expressions. Even so, the male lead manages to engage more naturally with her and the romance is carried nicely. Overall, although the series is not great, it is entertaining. Enjoy it!

This is a fantastic romance/revenge miniseries in a historical era setting. The series is fast paced with a well developed plot, great cinematography and choreography, The OST is nice and it complements the drama well. The cast did a great job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple complemented each other very well and had passionate, tender chemistry that got better and better as the drama progressed. Although minidramas have the tendency to show marked jumps from one episode to another, this drama did quite well in trying to maintain the flow within its complicated plot. Overall, the drama is great and entertaining. Enjoy it!

Mommy’s Counterattack is a nice miniseries. Although it is not an award winning miniseries, it is quite entertaining. The actors did a good job bringing their characters to lie and the leading couple developed a fairly good chemistry within the restrains of plot and length of the drama. Some of the supporting cast were not up to par with their character’s role but they it was not awful as to deter the viewer from enjoying the short drama. The storyline could’ve benefited from several more episodes and lengthier duration but, overall, it is a fast paced and enjoyable watch.

This is my third rewatch since I saw this drama in 2015 and I decided to write a review now. This is a very good romance drama that, although not perfect, it has a beautiful romantic story that started in college, suffers a 7 year hiatus, but remains strong and steadfast in the hearts and souls of the leading couple. The cast did a great job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has great chemistry. I must say that the leading young couple [Luo Yun Xi (as He Yi Chen) and Janice Wu (as Zhao Mo Sheng)] at the beginning of the drama did a phenomenal job playing the leading characters and beautifully paved the path for Wallace Chung (as He Yi Chen) and Tiffany Tang (as Zhao Mo Sheng) to continue the wonderfully played love story. The supporting cast did well also and Viola Mi (as Xiao Xiao) and Eric Le Yang (as Lu Yuan Feng) were fun and refreshing to watch. The OST is great! Overall, although there are some annoying and not so well develop issues in the drama, mostly the invalid divorce and English “speaking” characters, the drama excel in the romance plot execution. Enjoy it!
