This review is for seasons 1 and 2 together.
This review is for seasons 1 and 2. Both seasons are fantastic. The cast did a great job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has a splendid relationship that develops into a beautiful, steadfast, and heartwarming romance with very good chemistry. It is refreshing to see He Lian Xuan (played by Wang Zu Yi) and Leng Li/A Qi (played by Wen Mo Yan), two very intelligent characters, as they get closer and stronger to become a devoted power couple. Since it is a miniseries divided into two seasons, it is best to see one right after the other to appreciate that, although the production is not perfect, the both seasons are well done in matters of production value. These miniseries have a substantial plot that could have been better served if turned into a long format drama. Overall, both seasons are worth watching and entertaining. Enjoy it!. "Love at Second Sight" is a short web drama that had potential but the main leads don’t have good chemistry and for a male lead that is a great catch, the plot really messed with him too many times. The female lead is wrong over and over again and the male lead deserves better. The female lead is not even completely honest with her best friend about the real reason to why she broke up with him and her friend is always barraging him with false accusations that the female lead doesn’t care to correct and portrays herself as the victim. Wang Zu Yi (as Gu Yi Bei, the male lead) is great bringing his character to life and shows a good range of emotions but Shao Yu Qi (as Su Nan, the female lead, lacks proper use of facial expressions and body language. Overall, the drama was not convincing in bringing the leading couple’s relationship to a satisfactory end since the end seems more like a dream. Was this review helpful to you?

Wife Above All is a miniseries set in a historical era that tries too hard to give the audience a comedy, action, revenge, and romance plot but it does not deliver any of these genres properly. The female leads are the dominant characters in the story and the male leads, which got married with ulterior motives, go to a process of learning how to become the right husband for their respective wives while battling a court antagonist, diseases, lies, and revelations. The drama is not well written for the main characters and one of the couples, Mo Jing Yu and Yun Zi Long , even after they supposedly fall in love and are willing to die for each other, end up been separated at the end in just an amicable and nonsensical way. The second couple, Mo Ban Xia and Qin Chong Lou, had a better storyline and it was nice to see them falling in love and supporting each other. The only well done part of this drama is the insightful and comedic side story at the end of every episode. Was this review helpful to you?

Fated to Love You is a miniseries set during a historical period. This drama had some strong points regarding the main male lead and his dealings with the antagonists which he resolved even with the help of the main female lead but the drama is supposed to be about the leading couple and their fated romantic union. Although the leading couple had a very good camaraderie, steadfast feelings for each other, and a cute playful relationship, their romantic intimate scenes lack excitement. Even though the ending is a happy one, it is uneventful and boring. This drama is okay to watch while waiting for a great one to come! Was this review helpful to you?

Bride's Revenge is a well written and produced miniseries. This drama is about simply revenge and not really about the romance between the leading couple. Although there is certainly a nice, smart, and tender relationship between Ye Qing Lan (played by Qu Meng Ru) and Mu An Cheng (played by Vincent Wei), they don’t get together until the very end of the story, but the audience gets to see them working together to bring the villains to justice. The female lead starts as a nice and lovely girl that is force to become calculative and cold hearted by the antagonists in the story proving that, even though revenge is never sweet, it will sure give the victim a sense of satisfaction knowing that justice was served. The cast did a very good job bringing their characters to life and the drama was entertaining. Enjoy it!Was this review helpful to you?

This is a drama that could’ve been great but it was not properly abridged. The jump on scenes and plot twists come too abruptly and, in the processed of trying to keep the audience in suspence, the sequence of events and characters’ reactions don’t make a lot of sense. Although there are logical explanations by the end of the series relating the male lead Wei Shang Zhi’s unfortunate marriages and his real reason to marry the leading lady Bai Zhi, the narrative was all over the place and it made the drama’s plot feel disjointed. The actors did the best with what was given to them but, even though the leading couple had some nice moments, their relationship lacked intimacy in their romantic chemistry. Overall, this drama missed a great opportunity to even be good enough to watch. Was this review helpful to you?

Revival is a nice miniseries about a mute girl named Mo Yun (played by Zhao Yi Fan) and Quan Yu Xi (played by Qiu Bai Hao), the Chairman of Quan Corporation. Quan Yu Xi Mo Yun is sold by her family to the Quan family that superstitiously believe that a girl with a disability can help him wake up from a “comatose” state after an accident. As a result of this incident, Mo Yu finds herself involved in the power struggles of the Quan family and other people around them. Quan Yu Xi and Mo Yun fall in love but they became estranged after Mo Yun suffers a miscarriage which she believed was caused by Quan Yu Xi and leaves China to, three years later, come back and exact revenge on those that hurt her. From this point on, the drama gets more interesting and Quan Yu Xi leaves no stone unturned to try to rekindle his relationship with Mo Yun. The leading couple has a nice chemistry but the female lead needs to work on her facial expressions. Even so, the male lead manages to engage more naturally with her and the romance is carried nicely. Overall, although the series is not great, it is entertaining. Enjoy it!
