I felt it’s a mistake in the synopsis. The show explained that they are not related;). The rebirth story with revenge has been overused lately, but this one, both ML and FL acting are good, story pacing and editing is so far so good so it’s watchable, IMO. FL has another ongoing mini drama, titled Spring Fever, that one I dropped as the story pacing and editing just can’t make it.

Ultimate Note is suppose to be the continuation chapter after this one.

I am talking about Wang Pang Zi not Pan Zi. Pan Zhi is still hospitalized;).I wonder why this series used such similar name, easily confused by non Chinese speaking viewers 😅.

I finished it, now wishing for more from this production team this casts to continue the story telling. I am surprise for 18 ep., they added quite a lot of plot details and even revealing Wu San Xing’s secret in the end.
For those who knows this series, may understand, but for those who follow this the first time…will you feel empty, more lost and puzzles unsolved?

I do recommend Mystic Nine season 1, it’s a good watch, talks about the previous generation and set during Republican time.

As I have watched Lost Tomb and Adventure of Bronze Door. I may wait for the side story on Mystic Nine 2.;)

IMO, given how hard her life has been since young and how she always has to be on a cautious mode, hence I ca understand why she can’t truly allow herself to fall for ML, even though he seems perfect in many ways (as of now), she kept asking him “do you really love me?”. So I felt their relationship is well portray as being ‘fake’ and as audience can see that as the are not in love yet. “It’s cold” is the spot on description, so I wonder how it would be like for them, their chemistry when they truly fall in love.
