So I was right, it’s a sequel and not just a re-make. But of course they make it a point to show flashbacks so for those who didn’t watch the first season can understand the story. Ep 1 is good, love the pacing. I have to come back later to watch the rest, got some work to do😅.
But I still prefer Shawn Dou’s Yan Xun, it’s a personal bias. lol. Huangyang Tian Tian’s Chu Qiao is great! She is bright eye and very natural, love her acting.

By ep 15, we know that Yuan XiZai has JiLing’s face. So we don’t know who is actually Li Jie yet. But for sure the current JiLing is not LongShen. And Wu ShiGuang is actually the last flood dragon. Villian is for sure the nine headed snake, JiuYing. That’s GJM for you…twist and twist.
