FL in the dream but she has no control of events too. I feel she is unlikely to steer the story. As she reads the script, she knows the plotline but she can’t predict the outcome and even while she tries to change it, the event will still happen. So I felt she is also under a writer’s control, it’s just that the writer is not changing any of her action or role.

Sure, at ep 12, my theory may change as ep progresses. As current I felt FL is in a dream, maybe ML’s dream. In first ep., we see a supposinly arrogant ML, but likely he is being mistaken, he is probably not that kind of person but more controlled by his agent who is demanding and felt he should have a certain image. So now in the script, I wonder that it could be the modern ML trying to rewrite certain aspect of Nan Heng hence there is an addition of Li ShiYi and he is wanting FL to take an opportunity to uncover the real ML. So the script ML has no control as he is being re-written. And eventually they will all wake up and realise they are all in modern ML’s dream with a change script.🤣

Anither shout out of the main theme for this story, “love heals…” Compassion and love with freedom and openness; love that is not suffocating and not full control, can be healing to trauma.

I have watched Zhou Yi Ran’s previous drama but somehow the plot couldn’t get me really excited or going. However I really like his role in this drama, and he is definitely such a MingSheng, so charming😍. Live his chemistry with Zhang JingYi.;)
I agreed with you, this story is about some serious theme, I like one theme that has been emphasize throughout, which is “love heals”.

Yup, I noticed it on my re-watch. A few clues, for once MS’s dad would not do such a gesture. And MS is the one in touch with his mom so obviously the tickets are from him. And then I noticed he look across the crowd and appeared disappointed, I wonder why and realised what this whole scene is about. I believe this drama director does a lot of such subtle scene by showing and not telling explicitly. thats a fun observation for me.

When MuMu brought QingYu to MingSheng’s mom concert and mentioned that she has tickets and asked QY to attend, said the tickets were from MingSheng’s Dad.
On that scene, I believe MuMu’s gesture was most likely prompt by MingSheng to see whether QY wants to meet him and also let her know he is back.
So the next scene you see the camera move to MS coming down to meet his mom and appeared disappointed when he look among the crowd and couldn’t see QY.

Ep 23, a subtle scene interpretation at MingSheng’s mom concert…do you notice that…

He said that right after QY said “…all these memories will not be important once we grow up…” He understand her, as he knew she will be burdened by his emotions, so it was to make QY feel less burden and he chooses to walk away first so QY doesn’t have to face the awkwardness of having to do closure between them.

Yeah so true. The chaos and instability just continues to fill our world, even we have much more help available, people are not reaching out. Hence I love this drama for tackling some of the hard issues.

Yes, totally agreed. Her mother’s character was so realistic, I actually knew someone close who is like that, and still struggles with depression. The female actress really done a good job portraying this role.;)

This drama deserves higher rating.

Yes, the Emperor is so suspicious. Even the script written so, many things are hidden. FL’s insisting him being the bad guy has become quite a drag too😓.
