It’s a long rant, 😅😅😅. I wrote a review posted. K drama script is overall still too formulated that I am no longer excited about the plot, so till next time, when I do pick up another again.
I am very very selective of k drama but decided to binge this for the leads, my verdict, purely a personal opinion: Rom-Com: 💯 structured as a sweet Rom-Com, so don’t expect depth. Theme: interesting concept, however I would have expect it to have more depth, but it’s not explored, the AI boyfriend concept feels wasted. I like the school arc. Angst/ growth in character: of course NO, this is a Rom-Com with typical trope of pride and prejudice, misunderstanding and miscommunication. Then we have the ideal ML that who has his heart and eyes only devoted to FL. Which made me feel that the real world also not that realistic, but well it’s a Rom-Com. I didn’t feel a growth arc. Acting: both leads acted well, I don’t understand why comments here are so harsh on Jisoo. But of course I like her better in her role in Snowdrop. CP chemistry: I feel this could be done better, perhaps because there were so many famous cameos ML, that I am distracted. So the main CP’s chemistry feels driven by plot and too superficial. Other relationships: I like the lady author, her ending feels sad for me. Interesing for me to see the relationship between editor and author. I like FL’s girlfriend, feels that she has the most growth. Final thought: AI relationship replacing human relationship, is not healthy. If we choose to live in an ideal imagination, whether it’s a life or relationship, then how would we learn from our mistakes and grow from them? How do we know tolerance and compromise to acceptance in building a long lasting relationship? Overall this is a fun watch to past time.
I'm curious if they will ever show the FL becoming curious/suspicious about her husband's story of his background.…
We are not shown FL’s perspectives. But I am sure she has doubts, however she also grew up in country side, hence quite trusting and she just accepts whatever ML says to her. Hence when later on it was revealed his identity, it wasn’t really a shock for her.
Im still confused. I know theyre married, they did the wedding rites and all, but why do they kept saying. "Fake…
FL needed a husband to claim her house deed. So when she suddenly found a husband, everyone around suspected it’s fake. ML also did not use his real name, so still fake.🤷🏻♀️ When you said ‘they kept saying…” who is they?
Question.. did I miss something? Like why is he being so cold to her now? I'm on 31 or 32 I don't even know but…
In ep30, FL confessed, gave him a canopy of her childhood memories and left him. So he felt abandoned and felt despite all he had done could still not hold her with him. So he is angry but he is still obsessed and unable to leave her alone when he sees her🤩.
I find myself strongly agreeing with your rant, particularly regarding the imbalance in the relationships portrayed…
Nice comparison and connection in the characterization. I do agreed. I love Wuthering Heights. Such a classic tragic story in. way. The recent remade by Hollywood kind of lost its essence to the original theme, didn’t quite enjoy it😓.
ML is a total green flag but everyone labels him as red flag…so why don’t our witty FL just manipulate him to do according to her wants…hahahah. Just re-writing my own script.
