It’s easy to hate on A Sheng, however she is just being who she knows best. A Sheng is brought up being a traumatized abused kid, it took her a long while to trust FL, hence she is extremely protective and possessive towards her love for FL. It’s the only thing she knew and have. She cannot accept SML even though he done so much for her, partly, because in their early dialogue, his love is always for the greater good which she doesn’t believe in it. So no matter how much he does for her, she will not allow herself to love him back as she knows they are very different, so she has that clarity to not lead him on.
Ep.13: FL's mother smile like a Bodhisattva is really annoying. She can't even argue in her own defence. *facepalms*
👍🏻Compassion without wisdom is foolishness, her mother lives in her own bubble of always being a ‘virtue’ wife but neglecting the fact that she is allowing her husband bad behaviour to continue.🤦🏻♀️
Such a healing story, started out with the heavy themes then it moves smoothly to integrating the culture, lives and people where FL has left behind to pursue a dream she thought she wanted to only discover where her heart truly lies. She met ML who is equally lost but found love and inspired each other to pursue it. I admire the friendships among the three girls, how they fought, reconciled and always there for each other. I find the slice of live themes explored here very realistic. Beautiful Rick landscape and culture just made me totally immersed into their stories. Love this show, such a great watch😍.
Yup, Li Landi was fantastic in ‘Filter’😍
Landi is great in this role, her emotional expression spot on and natural.
