I am pointing out my opinion on what I see so far. I am not a novel reader for this drama and I have no hate for the actors/actresses. It’s the story. I felt it’s the flow of the story and the direction done here that lacks proper transition in their relationship arc. The leads are shown to be enemies in beginning, ML kept FL for an intention. He felt in love. FL done her role as wife because she has amnesia. Then she remembers and hates him which is natural as they were enemies to begin with. But with so many ep after, I didn’t feel she will love him, yes, he tries a lot of effort and she understands him, she has flashbacks of their moments but all these doesn’t tell me that she will love him. Simple plot point like he got injured, of course she knew he will be fine, but there is no perspectives to show us that she cares or concerns for him. So I blame the director and script for poor transition. I am not surprise, they will just use one scene to explain that she loves him and we will have to accept. lol! Maybe other commenters seen and feel otherwise, who CGH is okay as we are a discussion board to share different perspectives and not personal attacks.

Just my opinion, I have the same opinion like you, about her acting from her previous two dramas and now this one. Her transition in characters are not very well portrayed. I wonder it’s the directors, screenplay or her acting skills. She is pretty no doubt, there is something about her acting that is really not convincing.

The novel has written more depth for both ML and FL’s character, the drama didn’t present it as well.

Interesting connection from real historical figures. The Yuluo does feel like the Tibetans based on their costume design.

IMO, it’s always important to have different perspectives when watching a drama. Your perspectives have always been refreshing. So hope to cya here commenting again.

I re-watched that scene where the Eunch gave ML the royal decree, I see what you meant by FL’s subtlety in sorrow. Just didn’t realise that she has developed feelings for him.

So far we see the drama has shown us that LMT has no care or concern about CXZ, even when he is injured. So what needs to happen for her to suddenly fall for him? I hope they don’t do the “3months time lapse…and she loves him.” Thus far, I am not sure, this set up is unconvincing that she will love him or has love him.😅

Yuan MO’s problem solving skills. Poor An XiuYi, with one wrong wording, the whole treaty discussion collapsed.

Not really according to the casts’ list, they are all actors and actress. Which is also what I like about this drama.

Wow! A prestigious coach, yet she fail to spark interest. lol! Just not our cup of tea. Come to think of it, I could sit for hours to play mahjong but not Go, as mahjong has so much going on, I can never understand Go. This drama used it to symbolize one’s character and how strategic one can be by looking at how good their skills set in Go game. I am self aware too that I am not the strategic type. I remembered Jin Yong story uses a lot of that to symbolize internal strength, I concluded that I can’t survive ancient time. lol!

Yes! Totally! He reminds me of Lu LingFeng🤣🤣🤣.

That will be nice to see, him being part of the team. He indeed has been contributing in his own ways, even though he acts like their enemies. I feel that he is learning to realise Yuan Mo’s talent and admiring it in secret.
