Ep 21, Whether itâs FL or ML, they should really get a better hand phone with longer battery life or an extra powerbankâŠgoing on travel without a HP is really not safe.
This is a reverse harem, an exact reversal without much consideration of balanceđ.
I should rephrase that, this script took some of old tropes, with negative MLâs behavior and wrote it onto the FL. The lack of balance in CP and I didnât see any growth in FLâs arc, her rudeness are accepted as a norm, like some of the old school tropes where some domineering MLâs behavior are toleratedđ.
This drama went downhill. So they slept together in ep 29 and then she tried to marry the other guy and there…
I totally feel you. The last arc just feels that itâs written by another writer and completely disjointed from the original story arc. I sped watch the last arcđ I was commenting that it feels like a mini series on its own, the acting and pacing and the theatrical dramatic reveal and effect.
I do not quite understand Pei Zhenâs hostility towards Xiao Zhi Yu. Itâs kind of felt forced and inconsistent.…
Thanks for sharing your perspectives. Agreed with your analysis on PZ and PZâs father being narcissistic and he being unloved and emotionally abuse kid from such a father. XZY does have good friends, e.g. his business partner, Mr Gong who is more than a partner but a friend, and he does seem to have a healthier perspective in relationship, eg. how his staff respects him, however I felt he intentionally stayed detached as he is focused on his goals to uncover his fatherâs death and he doesnât want others to be to attach to him until he met HuXiu. So far we can see by the characterization presented that XZY can sense HXâs needs when he is attuned to it. But yes, PZ is much more unhealthy in that aspect, see how he kept imposing onto HX and not considering her discomfort. For him, itâs what he thought he wants and not how others feelâŠprobably learnt from his narcissistic father.
Their relationship went frozen for 3yearsâŠlol! I really donât like the CP tropes so far.And đŻ agreed with…
Ah, yes noticed her reactionâŠthere is more secrets yet to be known. Oh, I seeâŠthanks for sharing the history part. So we shall see what this second Princeâs role will be.

Initially I was thinking about siblingsâ rivalry but what confused me is that SML doesnât get his fatherâs love anyway. So to win ML, doesnât have much of a benefit intention. Hence I felt itâs a conflictual emotions. He wants ML to be his best buddy brother and suffer together with such a father, but yet ML didnât and yet able to shine well even without needing their family resourcesâŠSo he wanted to used Hu Xiu but without realizing how HX is such a great character that he was also attracted toâŠhahahah. A petty immature state, which hopefully in his redemption arc, he will grow.
