In the novel, there were only 6-8 humanoid fiends, can’t remember. The key ones died, some got away but will be huntered. LXR was stuck underground and become YT’s biological sister’s playboy. YT’s biological sister became ghouls and powerful one underground.
Not sure whether the drama will write the same end. Let’s watch on;).

Why was the scene cut, the one YT pushing the trolley to help NJL in the fight… Yes that scene was in the preview but seems to be cut out in actual ep. Could be the director’s decision thinking YT who has been starved for so long, shouldn’t have that strength to do that.

As commenter Xiang has mentioned, this story is about the main character, TLC’s growth and discovery journey. He has chance upon taste of love from family, brotherhood and possible relationships. But you have to be prepared as TLC is no ordinary being hence his ability to transcends all and gain the ultimate end of his choice, to this story is not a sad ending.
Luo YunXi chooses complex role, so if you want a straightforward storyline, this may be difficult to watch though;). I urge you to try till ep10, and see how you feel about it.

Novel has HE, so since the author is supervising this script, we will have high chance of HE too;)
