Nicely point out. Totally agreed with you. That’s why I love about both the characters, they are deeper and more complexity, that take more trials to unveil and grow. At this juncture both TTJ and YXW/LSS’s love line are only at the beginning. TTJ’s darker side will reveal more and YXW/LSS will struggle but has to do the inevitable.
Hahaha….TSL is one of my top XianXia for beginning of this year. I don’t watch a lot because some of the plot are too predictable. But TSL is fantastic, great humor, love is less complicated and great acting too. I highly recommend you finished it. A nice balance with this bittersweet one.😊

Yes indeed. The novel was more gruesome and dark. A lot of abuse and torture scenes will not pass censorship. I like the re-scripting of this drama. The core story and essence is there and the characters are definitely more relatable.;)

You mean TTJ’s attraction to YBC? I don’t think he really like YBC, it has always being part of him copying Xiao Lin’s behaviour. And back then YBC was the only one that at least treats him kindly. Even now when YBC came over to marry him, I don’t think he has feelings for her, it’s more of his anger towards YXW, so he kept YBC close. In the drama, YXW shown more emotions towards TTJ and seems to have fallen for him, but in the novel, she is more goal driven, cold and u didn’t feel she has fallen for him.
The fall will be hard for team TTJ😭😭😭 anticipating his pain and agony in coming ep.
That’s a wise move my friend. I may do the same too😊. Will be such a pain to drag with one or two ep a day. I just felt this plot movement is so fast pace😅 one moment happy, one moment sad.
Ah, what an ending. Great script, all plot points came together nicely. The most insignificant, mostly neglected, yet most crucial. I was just wondering about a couple of things: is this a mental health or psychopath? The psychopath being genetic? Would it be different if the kid has been brought up by the detective instead or if his Mom didn’t die? However these are just some lingering thoughts, overall I enjoyed this whole journey.
She struggles a lot. But there will be something TTJ did later that make her totally decided that she has to remove…
IMO, I feel LSS is also not fully aware of her love for TTJ. She wants to complete her mission because she saw in the beginning how the demon god has massacre her whole sect and family. But she grew to not hate him (TTJ) however I am sure she will still want to kill the demon god.
