So far in my opinion, there are some realistically element in this drama. I have seen such male personality often, high IQ and low EQ, it’s not that they are cold-blooded or abusive, but it’s because they don’t know how to love and don’t know how to express love. As set up here. So it will be a good progress to see how because he discovered love and he learns how to improve in communicating and expressing his love to FL. As for FL, while many called her doormat, I don’t think so, as I see she has her strong side too but definitely immature even after 6yrs. From the beginning I always find that she loves ML in her ‘ideal’ image but not truly knows how to love him as who he is. She blames him and talk about changing him. However she doesn’t have realistic expectation of him (even a 6yrs old boy know his father better), she doesn’t attempt to communicate or teach him how to express love and she just felt she suffered in silent. She chooses divorce without even considering working out with him. After 6yrs, she is still immature and stuck at trying to fix him or make him her ideal, even after his attempt of the crafted proposal, she still questioned his love and wanting him to say it out. The superficial characters design are what I can’t tolerate. I do feel the acting and production is great but just not how the story and characters are designed. Loving someone is not just making him/her says, ‘I care and I love you’ it’s not the only thing in love. Hahaha for those who know about ‘Meet yourself’, I really still miss Xie Zhi Yao and Xu Hong Dou’s mature love. That’s a great script.
Wow, apology in my longest rant, maybe after investing 20 ep., felt a bit disappointed and dropping this for the time being.
I felt the same too, thinking that’s was easy. So she has all this while forgiven him and just wait for him…
I agreed with you. I do think the acting and production is good. But just the logic of the story and characters’ design. Wondering how far will the ridiculousness will continue. Sometimes I call this drama for the sake of drama. I may just drop it if no progress.

The way she pursued him when she was young, really feels like an obsession. And now more matured, the theme still surfaced. Hahaha. I honestly don’t think love should be an obsession, but hope the script will progress for both of them to show more mutual and respectful love relationship.
Nice and bold proposal. But we all agree, it is too early and both of them need more character development before…
Yes, totally anticipating the other two sets of couple to work it out. I still feel bad for the SML (lawyer), he seems such a gentle nice character and he will lose the game eventually:

What you say make sense. She is always his ‘little assistant’ and her love for him somewhat feels like an obsession. Her lack of clear boundaries with guys is problematic. Like how she lead the SML on but yet she obviously not interested.
I felt the same too, thinking that’s was easy. So she has all this while forgiven him and just wait for him to advance??!!! Felt a little inconsistent from the earlier impression of her character growth.
I also have mixed feeling about Ep 18. I didn't want the mother to take the kid. But, ML respected the kid's decision.…
A very very mature and sensible 6yrs old boy. Wonder in reality would you have a kid this age with such high EQ. Lol. However i do come across children who mature very early because of their life experiences, so if since young age, the kid has been learning to be independent and maybe through ML’s parenting style had learnt how to be sensitive and sensible to others and make such a hard decision.
I also only noticed him quite recent in ‘The silence of monster’., acting quite good for a newcomer. In this drama, his character style seems quite similar ‘cool-cold’ type. Interested to see how he will pair with FL.
Ep 18 is quite an intense ep to take in. It’s painful for both ML and the kid. I personally felt it’s well acted, esp the child, expressing his emotions so well. It’s a tough decision of no right or wrong choice. But interesting that it was the child that helps to guide the decision, which is important. As every child had the right to decide what they prefers. I am sure ML would not have let go if the kid hasn’t persuaded him. And it’s a silent but good understanding ‘goodbye’, knowing they (father and child) will always have their bond and can always check in with each other. From the birth mom’s situation and story being given a second chance by her son, it also sits well with the main theme of this drama, ‘second chance’.
