12 episodes in, I am finding the main couple interactions are not that interesting while the second couple are…
I think you are missing out the point of their interactions. Deep conversations aren't always needed to make a relationship meaningful. Small moments and exchanges can have a huge impact on someone else's life in ways you can't imagine. Considerably more so with the male lead family background.

Is there anyone who speaks English and Chinese who can sub this drama in case Mango TV releases bad subtitles?
Because Mango TV and good subtitles never go together. 0 expectations.

Agree. Although I don’t blame FL but with all the friendship + women empowerment scenes , romance is taking…
The trailers lacked the angsty moments that c-dramas trailers love. It was just fun, comedy and romance, they said.. so we're basically in the dark about what might happen in the last part of the drama. I agree the romance needs to develop more, its cute but it could be more.

She doesn't want to marry him as a a concubine and loose her freedom. No matter how good the prince is.Learn the…
I don't see the point in watching ancient dramas without attempting to understand the traditions, etiquettes, or rules, because you'll never understand why things happen the way they do because they're different from modern times. But that's just me; I don't like feeling an ignorant.
But ask yourself if it's really him or if she knows the rules don't change as easily for the poor; after all, he's tried and failed before; in episode 21, he already told her he might not be able to change the rules for her. In ancient times, court rules took precedence over love.

But what if he can't change the rules. He also told her previously that all he needed was a position in the court and a mansion an then he'll get a decree to make her the legal wife, but the court failed him and got him a new and better. Why? Because they do not believe Li Wei is worth it.
She was raised to believe that marriage is monogamous and that concubinage is frowned upon. Is about integrity.

This drama does an excellent job of depicting the disadvantages of a concubine in a court ruled by status, and people are ignoring it. There are numerous things LI Wei cannot do simply because she is a concubine.

Learn the difference between marrying as a concubine and a legal wife and then you'll understand her reasons. The rules are vastly different.

Li Wei is selfish and irritating, her husband did everything for her but she doesn't care about him:( He deserves…
Yin Zheng is a good person, but that doesn't change the fact that the marriage was not mutual consent and that she isn't in love with him at that point in the drama just warming onto him.
Their perspectives on marriage different; why would she want to be a concubine and be partially free when she can do whatever she wants and be in a monogamous relationship in her hometown?
That's something the prince cannot do because she comes from a poor family and her dad is a low rank official. She can only be married to him as a concubine.
Concubines were treated as inferior, and were expected to bear children and expected to be subservient to any legal wife of her husband.
She cannot see or visit her parents, write to them, or leave the house without the permission of the husband or wife; under the law, his priority is his legal wife, not her, and she will never be unless they change her status.
Her situation is a great definition for gilded cage.
To think about your best interest, is now considered being selfish.... I don't know anymore

Zhu Cheng Hai is also a topper of the school but Cheng Hao(FL's rival) didn't know him....how is that possible....
Primary School (year 1 to 6), Junior (Lower) Secondary School (year 7 to 9), and Senior (Upper) Secondary School (year 10 to 12) are the three levels of education in China.

Xiao Ran's flashbacks take place in Junior (Lower) Secondary School when she first moved to town and that's when Cheng Hai was the number one student due to his high IQ.

The drama begins with a group of friends entering Senior (Upper) Secondary School year 10 where they took a placement test, and because Cheng Hai was accused of cheating and then turning in a blank paper because of the fireworks that caused him to be pulled back to the last class of that grade, year 10 class 11 not the elite class, as his rank was extremely low.

The sections/classes are divided according to how well you perform on that test.

If Chen Hao Junior (Lower) Secondary School was not affiliated with the Senior (Upper) Secondary School, it is possible that they do not know each other. which is also possible given that none of the other kids in the group know him

Title Business Proposal Spoiler
I know people are loving this drama but am i only one who feel that this drama is so much overhyped ....I can…
I believe people like it because, while the drama is full of cliches, they are also cleverly mocking them, which is where the charm and fun lies. People enjoy these lighthearted heart dramas, which may not be for everyone. Furthermore, it comes from a webtoon, and nothing is more over the top and overused than a drama made out of josei/shoujo manhwas. So far, I'm enjoying it and will continue watching.
But I do agree with the second couple.
Aside from attraction, at first sight, the second couple has nothing else going on for them except great s*xual intimacy and great kissing scenes, which is fine for a short-term relationship but not for a long-term relationship. Their emotional intimacy is zero. Feels more lust than love.
In my opinion, They need to balance that out, because their relationship is extremely empty; they hardly ever talk or try to understand each other. They don't feel like they're compatible yet.
Hopefully, in the next four episodes, they will be able to connect more, not literally 💀, in a heart-to-heart moment. Aside from thinking the other is hot/sexy, I'm not sure why they like/love each other. 🤷 But I'm not giving up on them just yet because there are four more episodes to develop their story.

Luo Yizhou is a newcomer, but he comes from an elite acting background.
This year, he's graduating from China's most prestigious drama school, The Central Academy of Drama. Top 3 (The Central Academy of Drama, Beijing Film Academy, and Shanghai Theater Academy)
Because of this, he will be given more opportunities than other rookies, as well as he'll be able to work with better directors and possibly will get better scripts. Some of his classmates are Jackson Yee, Hu Xianxu, Li Landi and they're a really talented bunch of young actors.

When casting actors in China, they take your education seriously, and some opportunities only come to an actor/actress without a formal acting background is if they have a popular work and obtained the love of the general public or if they have won some awards or if you were a child actor that validates their skills in the eyes of the professionals.
In my opinion, any rookie from The Central Academy of Drama or Beijing Film Academy is worth a shot because they have a solid foundation. So only when the drama air is when you'll be able to evaluate his performance without prejudice.

Title Out of the Dream Spoiler
If we consider the story of Liu Xichan's dream of the south, and the four dreams that correlate with the reincarnation of the play's character, the last 6 minutes are of a parallel world.

A few signs made me think that way
The older man who is painting is a sign that it is a parallel world; he signs his work as Bai Feili, and she does not appear to know who he is.

The doctor who greets her, is Shuji and is not a few years her senior, and does not own a bubble tea shop in this world. When she tells him that she is having the same dreams over and over and that she has recently dreamed of a lion, he says that sometimes the dreams we have are ourselves in another parallel world.
Furthermore, the part about the lion dream and Bai Feli painting outside the hospital gives me hope that they will meet in this world as well.

Episodes 3 and 19 provide a better explanation of where the drama or novel was inspired, and it is in Linchuan's four dreams.
If you want to read the novel, use a Google Translate plug-in and this in the search engine 梦见狮子 小狐濡尾, which you can find online.
The novel and the drama are not much alike, to be honest, but it did end with a happy ending but has two alternate endings, one being the Big Dream Edition, and they were not as happy, because you know I believe some Chinese writers are sadist lol
I have no complaints about the ending, but given how the last few chapters unfolded, I believe there were a lot of loose ends, and that's my main complaint with this drama.
Other than that beautiful and interesting story and I fell in love with their patio.

Watched the first few episodes and it was good, but I find Evan more attractive in "Crush", he's kinda stiff in…
He filmed this drama first, but it was released later than Crush, possibly because the plot revolves around China's republican era. Military and political issues are likely to be given a more thorough screening than a romance drama. So, on the bright side, he learned a lot from the main leads (both of whom have professional training from China's top 3 performance art universities.) as well as the directors and crew in this drama, Because he performed well for a rookie in Crush

Title GO into Your Heart Spoiler
I think what FL done in ep 1 was understandable. For girl, if u find any man see u througly like ML, it would…
Some strange man follows your every move and looks up and down, and then someone says their phone was stolen, and then you notice he suddenly pulls the stolen phone out of his POCKET, so of course, people will think that person is the thief.
She was directly in front of him when she noticed him pulling the phone from his pocket.
To her, he's just some creep, she doesn't know, who keeps weirdly staring at her. (He has his reasons, as she is the only person who he can see with colors.) But he scared her and made her feel uncomfortable, for her thinking the worst of him at that moment is understandable.

Just because she says he needs to be punished doesn't mean they'll do what she tells them to do. That is not how the law works.
If you're caught stealing something in a public area in China, the police are always called, and the person making the complaint always needs to have someone with them to testify how the events allegedly occurred. (in this case, was her)It does not imply that the person is guilty by default; rather, it means that the police will conduct a thorough investigation using CCTV and gather all relevant information before charging someone.

On A River Runs through It Aug 13, 2021
I believe that one of the disadvantages that Chinese actors face is that they are typecast and that the majority of the roles they are given are very similar.
That doesn't necessarily mean they're bad actors because many of them do a great job showing emotions, and you honestly don't mind because you like them and think they're capable. But when you look deep at their previous projects, you realize that almost all of their characters have the same characterization or vibe.
So it was a pleasant surprise from the lead actress. The fact that both of her dramas were released back to back, and there's nothing about Xiao Ju that reminds me of her character in Unforgettable Love (Qin Yi Yue). Everything from the style to the personality is so different.
I feel like this is quite rare and refreshing.

When I look at their photos, I don't get the impression that they're a couple. They appear to be brothers and sisters more than a cp.
So with this drama, only time will tell. I don't mind age differences, but they're visually too similar.

On Don't Disturb My Study Apr 1, 2021
Title Don't Disturb My Study Spoiler
In comparisons with other youth dramas, Don't Disturb My Study plot starts in their 3rd year of high school, thus the primary focus of the play is their preparation and journey for the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE) also known as the Gaokao, one of the hardest exams in the world.
Therefore romance plays a secondary role and develops slowly and subtle as the drama goes.

In China, high school students, especially those in their senior year, are pressured by their parent and teachers into doing well and discourage any form of distraction from their studies, as this exam is is considered a most important life-changing opportunity and their opportunity to be successful in life.

Doing well in Gaokao means you get to pay less for tuition, would help you enter a good company and find a well-paid job. Hence why romance in school dramas is always subtle and puppy love style. This is a reality for them.
Students from poor families benefits a lot with a high score, for these reasons Nan Xiang Wan is so driven into doing well.
This drama is about self-growth, self-resiliency and friendship.

All characters are really likeable, it's been awhile since where I have like all them without exceptions.

Main couple is really cute. And Liu Yubai and Zhou Cong bromance.

I have seen Li Landi in My Huckeberry friends and I like her acting and I also really like her here.
Lai Kuan Lin, however, I have seen him in A little thing called first love and thought his performance was quite mediocre there, but it was his first drama so there is room for improvement. And He did so much better as Lin Xiaoran acting wise, so I'm proud of him.

I like the ending. The proverb All Roads lead to Rome really fitted Nan Xiang Wan life. Even if she missed the opportunity to do well at the exam and get into her dream school. if you work hard and have a desire to learn and improve yourself, you can achieve success regardless of your initial result.
