Well spring waltz is an old drama, she was younger then. Now she still beautiful but I don't like the style. Yes, you can say it but it's true that we have some popular actors/actress for the genre like kim jin woo, Kang eun tak, Oh chang suk and others.
The queens Lee Yu Ri,Park HaNa, Yoon So Yi, wang bit na and others. Some of the ma are versatile so you can see them in long or short dramas, they are appreciated by the spectators.

No, daily drama (=100 or more episodes) aren't for popular actors. Do you know the cast of this ? The FL and another are quite "popular" but not enough and others Actors of the cast I never saw them or I saw them only in daily dramas. I don't think we will never watch a really popular actor/actress in a daily. Only in the beginning of their career :/
