So it’s implied that Li Fei and her father were involved in the captain’s death. Was this an accident? This is separate from the serial killings though, right? I assumed in the chaos of the fight, the captain got shot. But why did it escalate so quickly? It’s never really explained. And there were still murders happening but the MO changed. Was it the same person and Li Fei and her father were just bad luck and bad timing?

That’s good to know they’re not playing it up. I watch a lot of costume and watched Bao Shangen in Whispers of Fate and Generation to Generation (loved her in both). So I wanted to give this a try.

Why do these stories always have a family relation component? Here it’s a step-brother. In Speed and Love it was an adopted brother. In Dazzling it was a brother through close family ties but not a biological brother.

So ridiculous. I hate fan wars. I run a FB group, so I see it too much. I ban anyone for doing it. Personally, I could care less who stars in this. I’m only watching for Guo Jingming.

This is a difficult-to-find vertical drama that I could only locate on one platform, and it had no English subtitles. Sometimes I can still follow a drama without them and get the gist of the storyline or at least enjoy the color palettes and cinematography, but this was not one of those cases. I couldn’t pick up on much beyond a few character dynamics and some arc conflicts, and the costumes and setting felt very basic and low-budget. That said, I watched this entirely for Yan Zixian. While I definitely recommend learning more about Yan Zixian and his career, I wouldn’t suggest using this drama as the way to do it. Normally, I leave reviews but didn't think it would be fair to rate this on a number system when I watched without subtitles.

I’m on episode 9 and think it’s weird He Shan is so into Fei Ke’s business. They parted ways, what’s it to her what he does with his life.

I’m not in China so my fingers are crossed I can watch on a streaming network. The trailers look so good and I have been missing them as opposite leads since Such a Good Love.

this is so funny! i just started today and i'm already on episode 5 and this even going in/out of the house all day. i've seen a lot of people share posts about this, but t didn't start it until a group friend recommended it (she knows my tastes, so i can trust that her recommendations align with my preferences). i have never seen so many criminals who can't criminal! haha.
