This review may contain spoilers
I tried to write a review without spoilers but i am sorry this still does contain some minor spoilers.
- !!Disclaimer!!: This is just my opinion about this drama. I don't think this is the Truth of the Truths of this world. I won't recommend this drama to some of my friends, but I will recommend it to some others. So if you want to try this drama and start to hesitate because of this review, please don't :) you can just start it, try several episodes and then decide for yourself! Thank you for reading! -

Doctor john explores the concept of euthanasia, pain, rare diseases, CIPA patients etc. etc.

Well I saw many good reviews so I'll just take the unpopular road this time, with telling the bad things this drama had. very sorry to people who liked this and to people who worked hard making this drama but this was very meaningless and unrealistic story.... I gave rating 4 only for the people who worked on it.

What I liked:
-sister and fellows romance
-kitten
-mom

What I didn't like:
-story (lol)
-characters(lol)
-they mixed too many concepts
-something failed here very badly....
-one-sided answer to a controversial problem.
-main couple's romance
-male lead's occupation
-just everything lol

longer review:

Music was ok, so I just put a random number there. Acting was ok, as they act out the written characters and are not characters themselves. The story/plot.... well this is where the real issues start.
First of all this drama started with prison and showing Doctor Yo Han as some brutal mysterious guy stitching himself. Plus the main female lead Kang Shi Yeong who was constantly crying for any reason. Well at first we don't know the reasons so it's ok. And when we learn her reasons we start to understand her. But she keeps crying even for reason unrelated to her problem, for any little thing. Anyway... after that the whole story goes to hospital. The prison part was extremely unnecessary. It was just a useless way to keep viewers, because 1) it's prison and that itself is usually intriguing, 2) Yo Han was shown very mysterious, which was captivating. BUT It didn't help the plot at all. They could have just stated about prison and that's all.
After that we see them working in hospital. And the problem of euthanasia rises more. We see two people who are fiercely fighting against it, and also the lead who doesn't say anything. So here i thought oh wow this explores that problem it's great! However the drama suddenly starts exploring rare diseases. and you get one rare illness after another and the doctors are like investigators trying to find the culprit. Why, oh why should the anesthesiology department be the only place where people can do diagnosis. Yo Han could have just been a person who gives diagnosis, like doctor House and it would have been awesome. But somehow anesthesiologists do that job. Then they start talking about pain. How people feel pain, what is pain, for what, and about people who don't feel pain at all. Cha Yo Han says many nice quotes. But wait... this is already like 3 different dramas. O_O and all this time Kang Shi Young was following Yo Han a bit like a stalker and crying all around about him not telling her this or that, not being careful etc etc. I felt no chemistry between them, to be honest. It felt very forced and one-sided.
during all this time they were showing some secret group which was somehow related to that problem of euthanasia.
In the middle of the drama the two people who were fighting against euthanasia turned out to be simply crazy. while the drama was showing them so full of justice at first.
Might think this just explores that problem more and more, but in the end it gives a clear answer: "we are against euthanasia, and it is murder". they don't say it like this but this is what is implied very strongly during the last 4 episodes.
The secret organization only truly appears during one episode and then no one even thinks of searching them more.
takes shift to the forced romance and ends, leaving in darkness so many doors they opened randomly but never really showed us the rooms. Him willing to be a doctor like that even while dying also didn't make sense, he totally could be someone who makes diagnosis. that would suit him much better and that was what would needed from that person. This was very meaningless and unrealistic story. Maybe the writer wanted to explore many problems and wasn't sure she will be able to do it in other dramas and decided to use everything here. lol Well this became a grey mixture not even captivating enough.
The characters were also written poorly. Cha Yo Han as I already said is perfect at making diagnosis but somehow he is anesthesiologist, and even performing surgeries sometimes(!!!) I mean not just going there checking the patients sleep and all, but really doing stuff.... lol also treating many patients. their department looked more like the emergency center of rare diseases. In the middle of the drama he starts to act like a girl lol with female lead being all protective and him accepting everything and falling for it. lol Kang Shi Young was a character that cried a lot, got in the way a lot. They tried to show her as a strong person but she wasn't. Her big problem became not so big of a problem later just because she met him and her head was full of him. All the stuff she said was not so nice. I mean i would have gotten angry if someone talked with me like that. told that kind of stuff and cried all the time. The two other resident guys were just funny comedians, not even knowing english... just how in the world did they become doctors. The only nice characters were Kang Shi Young's mom. sister and the other doctor that plays Mugwang (cursed guy) in Arthdal chronicles. Their romance with kitten was nice.
P.S. I watched this with my mom and she was even disappointingly asking how the actors could choose such a drama and how directors could agree to shoot it and no one told the plot as big holes in it.

The world of the married is a scary world tied in a psychological battle between the ones who want to protect, the ones who want to destroy after being destroyed, and the ones who go out of hand into a crazy circle of revenge. It was a crazy intense roller-coaster with iconic characters.
Honestly not all relationship go this way and not all worlds of the married are like this. This is the world of the couples described in this drama. While there can be many couple’s like this out there in reality, not everyone is like that.

If one asks me if they should watch this, well I think I will tell them to try and see. This was an absolute hit in Korea and it was not because of pretty actors or over-hyped story. This drama is really well made and it can seem to go smoothly and slow at first but each episode gives a big shock to you at the end and you are left there with goosebumps waiting for the next episode. However I don’t thing I can lightheartedly recommend it to everyone. There are two or three friends I know that I won’t recommend this to. So I think It is a matter of personal preference and that if you are wondering if you should watch this try the first two episodes and see if it intrigues you  It is a mature psychological drama that can be difficult to watch at times but it is also captivating at times.

Ji Sun Woo is perfect woman with a perfect family. She has loving husband, loving friends, loving son, and a great job where she excels as an amazing doctor. They have a big house and even though the husband sometimes struggles to get investors for his movie productions, they are not struggling and earn enough to have a quite content and almost luxurious life.
So what happens when you learn that all of this is not as perfect as it seems. One small seed of doubt falls into Ji Sun Woo’s mind and that small seed leads her to several small and later big actions. While searching for truth the seed grows bigger and bigger becoming a tree and the real picture the truth covered deep into lies can’t hold on any longer, and it starts pouring out of all the cracks made by the roots of that tree of doubt. Ji Sun Woo’s world collapses and drowns in that sea of truth. With her world coming crumbling down she has to struggle to no go down with it. She starts to take bigger and bigger actions which eventually lead her into completely different life that the one she imagined she will have before learning the truth.
Cheating is always bad and even if some forgive their spouses and live with them the aftertaste still remains, deep in their hearts.
That is why this is a heavy drama. Tied into lies, cheating and misery.
But inside all that Ji Sun Woo tries to be strong. To protect her child mother can do anything. And one shouldn’t make a woman angry…. If a man’s revenge can be straightforward, woman will do anything, even embarrassing herself and stepping on her own pride just to protect her child and herself. You shouldn’t mess with a woman. Well actually, you shouldn’t mess with anyone.
Many people I think were absolutely shocked with this drama and and older audience sometimes saw themselves in Ji Sun Woo or other characters. And even if she can be wrong sometimes one can’t help but start to root for her.

Lee Tae Oh is seems to be a perfect husband but is actually very weak person ready to move after a skirt if that skirt is smart enough. He seems to like only certain type of women and Da Kyung was one of them. Well I did feel sympathetic towards Da Kyung sometimes but honestly she was just ignorant clueless girl without any deep thoughts..... She can be wrong and fall in love with a married person, yes... but the moment she learns that he is married, the moment she tries to destroy that family....... that's when it turns ugly and the bridges are burned. She was blinded to protect her dignity and the "foreverprincess" status which could lead her only to misery. My mom's former colleague actually was not pretty or reach but she somehow seduced a married man, made him divorce from his wife and 5 kids and is now living with him and they have a kid.... watching this drama made me remember her and on the other hand it made me remember a teacher in his 40s in my former school who fell in love with his student and left his perfect wife and the son he loved so much for that little 18 year old girl... The man here of course are also to blame but the young girls giving themselves to cheaters and ruining not only the other family's life bit also their own lives is very sad. Once a cheater, forever a cheater.... Da Kyung in this drama wanted to build a perfect family too as well as her parents wanted that from her. But not always everything goes as planned.
And of course there is Joon Young, the poor son who at his age can't be anything but selfish. Drowned into the world of traumas one after the other and the divorce is just the smallest of that.

I really liked the side couple and their aftermath. They were quite well done.
And of course this dramas scene stealer! The girl who didn't have a big role but was helping Ji Sun Woo and stuggling of the abusive boyfriend. Her performance was great and you couldn't help but root for her.

it is some amazing performance by all the actors. Especially actress who played Ji Sun Woo did an phenomenal job. I feel somewhat sorry for the actor who played the husband as the more love this drama got the more hate he got.
I don’t enjoy this genre but when I started it I couldn’t stop. It kept me on the edge the whole time and I couldn’t wait for the next episode. Each and every single episode made my blood boil and left me in rage.

My rating is not high because around the 10th episode I stopped agreeing with what Ji Sun Woo was doing. And the more it went the less I was feeling for them. I wasn’t happy with the ending too. As it left me with some questions and some things done wrong but that might have intentional so it might be my subjective preference. So my rating went down and down. However I am glad they didn’t go the same way as the original.

I never rewatch dramas so I put a random number in there.

This is not my kind of drama. It reminded me documentary style filming. Not making anything look beautiful, just leave it the way it is. I guess that also can be considered as a charm but it was not so for me.
This show is grey! At the start too, but at the end you realize that none of the characters is good and none of the villains is evil. Everything and everyone is just in between. OCN has some good thriller mysteries. I think this one too will have it's own audience and maybe not the mainstream one.

What I liked about this drama:

-Han Seok Gyu! Well when i heard it's a drama with him i thought i need to watch it, because I loved his acting both in Tree with Deep Roots and in Romantic Doctor. He can seem the same and at the same time so different. I like the way he talks, no wonder many try to mimic his way of talking. He played amazingly well here, and till the end I wasn't sure if he was good or bad.
-Seo Kang Joon! Well I heard about him playing in this drama first and it was a must watch for me as I love him! He played so well everywhere he was in. And being partnered up with Han Seok Kyu, well I thought this is going to be awesome. lol
-The mystery around the case at the start
-OST!! Music!! it was great really! There wasnt much of BGM during the show so it reminded me of Japanese dramas. But when there was music it was amazing! really OST of this drama is great!

What I didn't like:

-It was super slow. There are slow dramas that I like. For example My mister or On the way to the airport. But this is a thriller, I don't think this slowness suits a thriller. Maybe it's just me. At the start it was kinda confusing with two plots, one to know who is the killer and one to find a ledger and catch corrupt people. Later they merge into one. Well it indeed was predictable that they will merge into one but overall this story was complicated and simple at the same time.
-The conclusions of all the cases. Well after all the mystery around there everything turned out not so thrilling and not so full of justice or terrifying. Maybe my expectations were just too big. All the conclusions were meaningless for me.
-The greyness. I like dramas where there is no exact distinction between black and white. There are some good ones. For example the villain in Pied Piper. But here, in my opinion, they didn't pull out that greyness well. Yes, all characters were neither good or evil. they could go anyway. Each one of them could one day become the same villain. But overall I think this all could have been made in a better way and it wasn't. Everything seemed just miserable, leaving a grey taste after the drama.

Light healing Romance <3

"Where have you seen a life without rain! When it's pouring you will get wet even if you use an umbrella. So at times like this, just say whatever and let it pour on you. Let's just have fun, with me."

Hometown chachacha is such a nice healing drama. I'm not a fan of romances, but i needed something light and fun for my heart, and i chose this. My expectations were not high, and i started it after a long hiatus. Boy, i didn't know what i was getting myself into :) After the first two episodes i couldn't stop. I was fully immersed in this small town's story and the characters. It felt like i really went to a small village near ocean, and met all those interesting people. I was catching myself daydreaming about this place the whole week! So i really recommend this drama to the people who like romances. :)
Of course it had it's up and downs but let's get to it later :)

first of all Characters! This is a type of a story I call character driven. And more importantly this was fully driven by the male lead. Even though the side characters made this town, but we all saw those characters slowly as they were interacting with the main leads. Male lead character of this drama as said in the description is country boy type of a person who can do almost everything, and he will do it well. If anything breaks they call him, if someone is needed at the sea they call him, if someone is needed to make coffee they call him, if someone is needed for power they call him, if someone is needed to look after sauna they call him! People call him chief Hong, or Hong banjang (chief) in Korean. He goes around being friendly to all the people, especially grandmothers <3 The type of a person who can talk to absolutely anyone without being awkward. Kim Seon Ho played this role phenomenally well! Hong banjang was so perfect I couldn't get him out of my head. :)
I loved his friendliness so much! he once said "...Yes, like this cross the line sometimes. Stop drawing imaginary lines like a child. Share the eraser sometimes. And sometimes show me the homework..."
The side characters were the annoying country people at first, but slowly started to show themselves as people, with different pains, loves, personalities. Each and every single one of them was interesting. I especially liked Grandma Gam Ri, and her wise words. And Yeo Hwa Jeong with her other wise words :)
We also have the second lead :) played by Sang Yi :) He deserves the best second lead award. Because he totally did what second lead is supposed to do. He made the couple jealous, he became a good friend and he wasn't making us suffer from the second lead syndrome because the first lead was so strong, and his bromance with Hong banjang was much more valuable for viewers :) I really loved their TikiTaka. How they met, and how became friends :)
The we also have out female lead, a strong career woman, a dentist. Who is kinda warm and loves justice, but soon regrets her decisions. She ends up in this village from the busy Seoul, and suddenly finds herself in a small healing adventure.

Story: This is the part i didn't give much points to. The story was absolutely perfect and very warm. Even though it was cliche, it was still a little bit refreshing to see a very nice male lead who is strong and kind at the same time, plus interacts with everyone in the village. It was going fantastically well :) Tbh the reason I didn't give much points here was because from ep 11 the characters change a bit. Their romance becomes extremely cringy (Note that this is not for everyone, something that i consider cringy, may be perfect and great for someone else and visa versa ^^) Hong banjang somehow gets this slight sadness in his eyes that is kept there till the end, and Hye Jin, our female lead, is being extremely childish, needy and materialistic. Of course some may not see these things like i saw them, so please don't let them keep you from watching this drama, because it might be a good level of cringe for you :) Because their interactions were really cute. And they still had at least one scene in each episode that brought my heart back to the drama :)

Acting: I talked about this a little bit, but the acting was really really great! Especially Hong banjang who was played by Kim Seon Ho. Even though other actors did a fantastic job, for me it still felt like Hong banjang carried this whole drama on him because he was so perfect. :) The Side characters, side romance couple, were very great too :)

Music: There are dramas that have this kind of OST that gets stuck in your head and is always associated with that drama. Well this is one of those dramas :) The OST Romantic Sunday that starts with Lalalalalalalala~~ is still sutck in my head even though it's probably been 3 weeks since i finished this drama :)

Deep messages: This drama had so many messages and so many nice quotes!! it went straight to my list of dramas with deep messages! Amazing stuff said by the characters, can sometimes be very healing :)
Hong banjang once said " Success and Money are not everything is life. There are much more important things like Hapiness, Self empowerment, Peace, Love. Life is not a mathematical equation, there is no right answer. The life gives you a problem, but how to solve it is your choice"
Yoon Hae Jin once said "You know what does being a good parent mean? It means to live healthily for a long long time"
This drama teaches us the power of human interest and warmth. simple words and simple interest can sometimes save a person, even if we don't ask that person about all the details: "i was closed in a dark house but then people started to knock on my door, without asking anything, they just started to give me food. Like people feed stray cats. Indifferent yet warm. Then they started asking me things, fix the tv, deliver the food, take on the counter in the shop for a bit. So they build the Chief Hong i am today"
And it teaches the fl that there are many people struggling in this world. "not everyone has it smooth like you, some run on roads that are hard to pass, and some ran with all their might only to find themselves at the edge of a cliff, so don't judge them without knowing"

Overall: When i just finished it I was disappointed, I could write so much just complaining about the female character, how characters changed, and how this drama would have been so good if it was made into a Hospital Playlist style xD But you know what? :) Some time has passed and I don't remember all those complaints much anymore. All I remember is a perfect drama that healed my heart, that still stays with me, and that gifted me one of the best male characters i have ever seen. I only have positive afterthoughts now.

So this drama totally deserves best drama of the year, best couple, best male actor, best supporting character awards, as well as deasang :) even though it had many flows from ep 11 and onwards.

In short.
What I liked:
healing
wise words
Hong banjang
Hong banjang
Hong banjang
light and nice romance build up
Hong banjang
side characters <3
second lead

What I disliked:
the main couple dating
the childbirth
the female lead after main couple dating.

I really do recommend this drama to the people who love romances, because this seems to be a perfect romantic story and i have a feeling it will remain as a classic in a few years :) But be prepared for cringes and then lots of tears during episode 15-16. It's a very happy ending though, so don't worry :)

P.S. i never rewatch dramas so i just put a random number there.
but actually I have rewatched clips form this drama MILLION times and am still doing it everyday XD mostly from early episodes. Hong banjang was too perfect :)

This review may contain spoilers
this review contains a little bit spoilers at the end!!!

I do recommend the drama to people who like oh yeon seo, Lee Honey, Jang hyuk(or charismatic actors), who like logical political strategies. who like fighting scenes, who like historical dramas, romance, who like gender bender! If you like only happy endings (like me), if you hate rushed endings, bad endings and everything concerned with endings then hmmm more than telling you I don't recommend, I'd rather say be warned and prepare that the ending is bad. It's mosntly the last 20 minutes of the last episode i think. When you think about it, they actually do show some kind of "happy ending" but I didn't find it happy.

intro:
I watched this drama for Jang Hyuk, as I fell in love with him after Chuno (Slave hunters). I also watched this drama a long time ago so i don't remember it quite well. I just wrote a review for it on another website before so I wanted to move that review here. I have also watched this drama long before the Scarlet hearts.

Acting/Cast:
Well, acting in this drama is top notch! Jang Hyuk never disappoints. He is amazing actor and Oh Yeon Seo also did a great job as a female lead. Other actors were also great! I think Jang Hyuk really suits historical dramas! I totally like the way he talks, his beard, and long hair. He is amazing!! <3

Music and cinematography:
Music was okay, nothing that was left in my memory, but nothing bad that can keep one away from watching. It was normal. The cinematography is also normal, i included it just because the Scarlet Hearts which depicts the same period has an incredible cinematography! this one is normal, nothing fancy, but nothing bad either.

Characters:
As acting was great characters could really stand out! I really really like this version of Wang So. He is cool, strong, active, funny, with a scar in his heart from his childhood and all, as he is an exiled prince, but still he doesn't have inferiority complex because of that. Anyway I totally liked his version of Wang So much much much better than the one in Scarlet Hearts. Maybe because I love Jang Hyuk. He played the king as a beggar very well, at first you watch and think he is really a peasant or street gangster and all, but then later you slowly start to think that this guy is suited to be a king! that is is the True King of this nation!! (I didn't get that feeling from Scarlet hearts unfortunately, maybe because i'm biased :) apologies to scarlet hearts' fans^^)
among characters i can't leave out the women in this drama. Great female characters! very strong and not losing not men with their thoughts and strategies. Very smart! The female lead is a real business lady and the second female lead is a real politician.
I kinda like that there is no overwhelming amount of beautiful princes dying one after another. Though the real story was like that I think.

Story:
The whole idea of the story is awesome! If you have watched Scarlet hearts you will now that Wang So was an exiled prince who later is meant to become a king. Here the prophecies sound somehow more interesting for me. The male lead is a prince that was exiled because of the prophecy which foretells that he will turn the country into a river of blood. And the female lead is a princess of Balhea who nearly escaped death from her own people because of another prophecy which foretells that she will become a light of another country! The royal fortune teller tells the king that his son's curse can stop and he can become the greatest king despite the prophecy he he meets/marries a light! a woman that is born under a certain star. Unfortunately that woman is not our female lead as no one knows about her real self. I also enjoyed the gender bender here!
Other than those beautiful prophecies i totally liked that this drama is very very smart! sometimes you watch a drama and die to tell all the characters do or not to do something. Well in this drama people can take one information combine it with another and get a new answer which helps them build their moves! They are all smart and strong and I liked it a lot. the story goes on really well but then suddenly "Poof!!" and everything disappears ><

a little bit SPOLERS ahead.

What I didn't like and biggest flow of this drama:
one is that from the middle, near the end of the drama, the girl starts to cry a lot and i don't quite like it. Second is, as many people already told, it's of course the ending! it ruined the whole drama for me and for many i think. I can understand why the leads can't stay together. The female lead is a strong business woman she wouldn't be able to live happily as a royal concubine, closed inside the palace walls. I understand it, but still the ending was rushed and not well made. It seems as they just tried to wrap it up very quickly without thinking through it well. so the minus 2 points is for the ending.

The overall score for me is 8.5. It would have been 10 if not for the ending. And it would have been 3 if not the great plot (+jang hyuk) before the ending.

Lighthearted romantic comedy with flaws.

First of all, I started and continued it because the cast appeared on running man.
But this drama has received a lot of negative response. Why? because first of all it is based on a questionable adult webtoon. Of course the drama is not going that way. But the female lead does get touchy with the male lead, who has a girlfriend, since the start. Plus in the first episodes she is a high schooler but is not your average student. She can be described as being a "bad boy" (but with the non-romanticized meaning of it). On the other hand the male lead is a real pushover, he doesn't seem to have much pride and does everything his girlfriend says and not only that he doesn't think much of the "touches" the female lead does. Any other would have taken advantage of it but kudos to choi dae hyun for not doing anything. Anyway he is quite an average male lead of an adult webtoon. lol There is also male lead's friend who is none other than an adult webtoon artist! It's quite rare in korean dramas so it had met a lot of controversy.

But once you go past the controversies and the image that source material may have left, this is just an average light-hearted romantic comedy, nothing more and nothing less. :) the western popular dramas are usually much more "adult" than this one.
Personally I really love strong and fighting people in dramas. So that was mostly what kept me watching. Saet Byul, our female heroine is extremely strong. to the point it gets ridiculous. lol So it's like a slapstick comedy with her beating up bad people. But later you get to know all the characters from a different perspective.
You get to know that ml is a thoughtful boyfriend, with quite a strong sense of justice. That fl lead is a child that had a lot in her life but thinks a lot about her friends and sister. Does everything to protect them and suites the ml much more. That the questionable ml's webtoon artist friend is actually really sensitive and can't draw adult scenes and his webtoon is just mostly romance. That ml's family may seem very "country bumpkin"-ish, but are very thoughtful, love each other a lot and stand strong for each other.
As this drama was made by the stuff who made Fiery Priest, it has a lot of funny references also.

So it's just an average light hearted (slapstick) romantic comedy. A bit draggy in the middle with funny ending. So 6 for me is the best i could give this lol :) And mostly because i really love fighting!

So If all the negative feedback is keeping you from watching this drama, and you fear it will be controversial and inappropriate just give it a try. It is not "adult" at all. And the characters also are not particularly strange.

I never rewatch dramas so i put a random number there. Music was not very special so i just put 6 there. For me there wasn't any character that was especially interesting so i didn't put 10 for acting. the whole story was also normal so i put 6 :) but this all doesn't mean it's bad. It's a an okay drama for me :)

So if you like romantic comedies you can give it a try :) and decide if you like it or not.

The Healing of Healings

I didn't want to watch this as i didn't want to cry. I did watch it for an actor, but I loved it for the healing. and now I want to write this for people like me, who are afraid to watch it because of the tears.

So I absolutely recommend this to people who have lost someone in their lives. Sadly all the people do at some point in time. And if you already have, this drama is honestly a must watch. It heals. Truly heals. I was and am struggling with grief for many years. Not only it forced to lose the sight of meaning in life, but I also started strongly fearing of death of closed ones, because it's so inevitable, and all of us will have to face the loss one day. This drama deals with that loss in the most beautiful way possible. It is fun at times, it is entertaining at times so it is not all sadness here. It feels like it beats you up every episode and heals you after that every episode and then brining it into a full healing at the very end. Like i described to a friend it feels like as if you are in a cold forest and very hungry, then someone comes and gives you some warm food, says a warm word, gives a warm hug and then sends you to sleep under a fluffy blanket hugging a cat in a warm hut. This drama is worth to watch every single time when one experiences loss.
Drama does make you cry, so prepare a box of tissues, but it also heals you every time after that. Comforts you. And with fun scenes and dynamics here and there it is even entertaining. ^^

The ending, after the real most beautiful ending, i believe is just a cameo and a small way to ask netflix for season 2 lol.

So for all those who have experienced loss and grief but are afraid to try this drama because they think it will spark those emotions once again, (like me) Do not worry. It will heal them. Even when it spark those emotions again, it will heal them in the most beautiful way possible. So without any fear just dive in. :)

This is the second season of Arthdal Chronicles.
If the first season was like an Introduction, this season is where everything starts to move and we learn a lot and get lots of answers. We were introduced to the world now we get some more information about it and its beginning. So i guess the third will be like conclusion.

I wrote in my review to the first season the mythology behind this drama. Well in second season everything starts to be more clear. And we see now a lot of confrontation between Sarams (literally means human in Korean). The smart political game where everyone is thinking what the other will do and tries to make a step ahead. In this game our characters are also included. Especially Tanya who didn't do much in the first season, now she and her newfound partner (introduced at the very end of the first season) are the highlight of this season.

What I like:
- We get a lot of answers
- already being used to their names, this is much easier to watch
-everything starts to move.
-Tanya is cool (i just love the answer she came up with after devastating news)
-Saya is cool (so cold, so scary, so smart and all of that is a reflection of how he grew up)
-Mubeak! (lol if in the first season he was like a soldier killing and all but was actually thinking much much more than others, in this season we get more of him and he is cool)
-Taeahlla and Tagon (well these two characters are so complex, i think they are out of the definition good or bad they are more like victims of the era, of their childhood, of their origin)
-all characters are very complex, really outside of black and white, good and bad.
-the smart political games or everyone trying to gain power!
-again learning more and more about the world, and about Wahan tribe's origins, and about all the stuff Tanya learned, and about Nhaenathals!

What i didn't like:
- the seasons again.... why did they have to separate it into seasons i just don't get it lol. Now I have to wait till the new drama(which im looking forward to) ends, so that 3rd season starts haha. the cliffhanger is hard to bear.
-If in the first season one character (Tanya) was doing almost nothing but being taken away, this time was another main character's turn lol. But based on the preview we will get lots of action from him :) haha

p.s. i usually don't rewatch dramas so my rewatch value is always 1, but this one was kinda complicated, i even rewatched the first season's first episode to understand it more. That's why the rewatch value is 10. i bet much more will be clear after a rewatch.

The future circumstances brought by past

First of all i want to say a small disclaimer lol I do believe in past lives so the concept of this drama was close to the reality i imagine to be. I will try to be as objective as possible but we are all people and have our preferences so all the reviews will always be subjective based on our own likes and dislikes. So if i liked this or disliked this doesn't mean you will too :) I had a drama slump and took a break from dramas for many months :) (i thought this is important). I binged (slowly) this drama in 4 days.

Overall i liked this drama :) and recommend it to the ones who like fantasy genre. Just try not to expect much. Expectations might ruin it a lot. Also try to go passed the first 3 eps. :) Oh and i think this is more suited for binge watching rather than ongoing. Shorter review at the end.

Story:
If i were to give different rating to story/plot and the concept i would give the concept 10 and the plot 7. The concept is great! past lives, reincarnations, and how people connected in the past lives will always be connected again, that is karma, and until it is fulfilled even enemies can become relatives. (i do think this is what happens in rl too, so that might have kinda influenced the way i saw this drama) I do like that this also is taking a big span, so not just one past life, but many. On the other hand the plot that was based on this concept was sometimes inconsistent. By inconsistency i mean they waited a very very very long time to reveal us the real truth but they left out some of the big questions. I would have liked to know the answers to some but as the drama didn't give any answers i just theories my own. This is another thing, Theorizing of who is who and what is what was fun. Most of the stuff i was thinking turned out to be true (which i don't really like) but it's okay xD The real big big truth might have been underwhelming because of how "simple" it was, It was kinda the misunderstanding type of thing, i did wish for a bigger and more impactful thing, but this truth was relatable and kinda what happens all the time in our lives every second. The envy, rage, miserableness, being left behind, loving someone, wishing power, revenge... all that is something we have seen countless times, but it is what is always moving this world. Also as everything was revealed at the very end it might have felt rushed for many people. I binged this so that didn't feel rushed, it felt a little bit dragged even.
I didn't like how bloody it was. especially the start! i was going to drop it after the first ep, and then after the second too. But then it got interesting for me (and my mom). I have seen people for whom it was the other way around so i guess it is the matter of preference. The first two eps were about the past, and there was lots of blood. Then there was more blood near the end.
I liked the incorporation of the folklore demons. Though it felt like huge anime arcs squished into one ep each. The way they were introducing the demons/monsters was really anime like, it made me remember all those hyakunin ikki and stuff. Would have been better to elaborate more on them, but it might have become more draggy for a drama. If so they could have squished it more and removed some of the demons making less episodes, as they were not the main plot.
The concept of bulgasal was also nice (something like an immortal being) but they kinda merged it with vampires/zombies. which is okay i guess as there seem to be a zombie craze.
I didn't look at the actors list so i was surprised when they revealed the villain.
More weird things were when the house was suddenly a super lived in house, hurt person suddenly appearing lying outside when he was in car just now, how did he fly there remains a mystery! and some other small inconsistencies.
revenge all around, makes me remember naruto as that was the one of the best explanations of the endless revenge circle i have seen lol but still it was okay. Also the sacrifice talks also were okay for me, as that was what i thought would have been right to do too.
I think they could have dome much more and explained more in the story. But it was still okay and good for me as i fully theorized the rest. I really liked some parts of the real truth as it was indeed resonating with my own beliefs about family and enemies and karma. I would have liked if they elaborated more on the villain and the brother (i won't tell what brother) but still it was alright! so thank you for the story!
Characters/Acting:
There were few characters but they were all interesting. The ml was a bit plain for me, though the rough look, the size and everything suited the role i guess. This is purely personal preference and doesn't mean that the actor didn't do a great job. I did like the fl though. I only remembered that actress from iteawon class and couldn't imagine her as main, but i was pleasantly surprised! Min Sang Un for us is a start of everything and our hatred goes to her from the first ep. The second ep focuses more on her reincarnation "asking for sympathy towards the villain" which was really weird! Later we see her grown up, being a lovely bubbly girl, which made me feel proud of her as it is extremely hard to maintain a good personality in such circumstances. I love that kind of characters. But at the corner of our minds we keep thinking that she is bad, we mustn't like her, just like some of the side characters think. But as the story progresses we learn more and more, slowly we start to see her in different light. She was strong despite everything and followed her beliefs no matter what to protect her family.
the ml on the other hand is consistent but then slowly also changes near the end.
The villain was amazing. Acting was top notch, i remembered the gap dong days! Anyway we were slowly starting to feel sympathy for him. It was very well done, but at the end his story was a little bit underwhelming, so don't expect anything grand. It was something i would come up with if i was a writer, but i would wish something greater from a professional. But! at the same time it was very normal, i mean something like that happiness all the time and the feelings he got and the acts he did happened a lot back then. Which is just simply sad.
The side characters like mr. detective, heeseok aunty, doyoon, and shiho each of them had their story and it was interesting to see all the connections in the end. I loved it. The actors also did a great job! Shi ho is the best i love her and she is gorgeous! Though I was really frustrated at them a lot because as usual, like in any drama the side characters get always in the way and get used. So if you are weak please, just please, stay at home and don't try to act! let the strong people do stuff! that is called helping!
Addressing romance: if you plan to see romance here it's better not, but if you plan not to feel any romance here you better not as well lol. I knew there will be romance, because how can they do it without romance? XD they just neeeed it! (sarcasm) but if in all honesty, was it forced? Anyone will fall in love with a person who saves them, especially if they didn't talk with anyone before, and no one saved them before. I would too. But the love that was there did feel forced sometimes when it was too strong, though at the same time after everything was revealed i started understand why. The past connections have their influence, and the connection we see at the first two eps is like a drop in the ocean, and not the whole truth. But the overall romance is mostly around, taking care of wounds, a piggyback ride, couple of looks, and being sad of the thought of the other one dying. That's all, and i'm happy with it.

Music:
what can i say! music was great! <3 i loved some of the songs!

Rewatch value:
I never rewatch dramas so there is a random number there.

Overall!!
i liked it a lot :) I had a break from dramas for many months so maybe it played a huge role but i really enjoyed this one with my mom, very interesting, was something to look forward to everyday! :)

Short review:
Liked:
-her hair! <3 xD
-concept of past lives and how it was handled (for me it was much better than other dramas who did this before, if you know anything better let me know, I'd like to see more :D )
-all the connections
-monsters (nice idea but maybe not necessary here, idk)
-the fast pace

Disliked:
-a lot of driving around
-house suddenly filled with flower pots lol
-suddenly flying out of the car (idk how)
-twins (would go to likes if explained)
-ml
-too much blood!!! why >< they try to copy western shows but i hope they don't
-monsters( nice idea but maybe not necessary here, idk)
-weaklings not staying out of the way but trying to help.
-unanswered questions! too many lol i didn't think of them when i just finished as those questions were kinda active at the very start but i forgot about them later. Now when i look back, there were too many, and all left unanswered. But it's okay as the after taste was still good! i mean bittersweet.
-brother at the very start, was important as it's the start but this was left out completely.

true love :3

I just rewatched this drama after many years, i was afraid i won't like it after rewatch, but i Loved it!! <3

So it's a very good story with a not very good but ok-ish ending (to my taste). Can be lighthearted, can be quite emotional, the slow scenes are a lot (but this was the period when everyone had the super slow scenes), and it's pretty straightforward. The love story is extremely heart flattering <3

Story:
I didn't like the first eps that focused on the backstory of the parents, because of the CG, but later i got used to it. then when Kang Chi appears in the drama, smiling from behind the tree.... that's when i was absolutely hooked forever! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I love that this story focuses on true love. the message that it says about how you are you no matter the appearance and that the true love has the power to keep you yourself, find yourself, and become stronger. That is why I absolutely loved that they had for the main lead a childhood love and slowly show us how he changes and notices where his heart goes.
I also likes the fate here. I usually really dislike childhood connections and all, but i love how fate was represented here.
When i watched it the first time i didn't understand why are they so obsessed with the navy admiral, but now when i rewatched it, i knew who Lee Soon Shin is. That knowledge let me watch this with even more understanding! I think this is a very nice idea to use a historical figure but add completely unrelated characters around him, who won't be bound by real life history. I also loved some nice quotes from here, especially this one "uneasy thoughts call upon uneasy future". But no matter what i think this story was character driven!

Characters/Actors:
I didn't like Seung Gi that much back then, to be honest, but after this drama i fell in love! Now he makes me happy just by existing lol :3 character of Choi Kang Chi is totally right out of a manga! He is the absolutely goofy funny strong character from a shounen manga. And that silliness is what I adore in this character! He was perfectly portrayed with Seung Gi's smile <3 totally Kang Chi was my ideal man type and i loved his growth! and most of all i loved that he didn't lose his "lightness", "simpleness" even after growing up so much!
Dam Yeo Wool was really cool lady! even though i was really frustrated at people who don't realize she is a girl, but still it was so cutely done that i could close my eyes on it ( a bit xD). I liked that she was strong, and wasn't a burden, but her true love helped the main lead to find his way again and get back on his feet. I didn't really like when she learning girly stuff but it was still cute. I am very sad that they decided to do that kind of ending, but i heard the writer wrote this with that kind of ending in mind from the very start.
the villain was really, villainish! i hated him with all my might and couldn't understand why are they not just attacking him.
I really loved the family where Kang Chi grew up! and i loved also Yeo Wool's family! both were really straight out of a manga and i truly loved them! <3 I also loved the brother and the sister because they really grew up too! And i loved how Kang Chi's personality was always stopping all the hate! just a main character of a shounen manga <3

Music:
I loved Seung Gi's song, I loved Suzy's song (it was especially catching) and i loved Beak Ji Young's song. others were also good! this drama had a really memorable OST.

Rewatch:
i never usually rewatch drama, but this one i did rewatch because i wanted more of Seung Gi hehe :) I was afraid i won't like it after so many years. but it was still very cute, very innocent, very meaningful i loved it to the bits! <3

The only bad part for which i took away 0.5 points in the story, was the ending. It would have been ok, if they did season 2. But this ending with a promise didn't give me satisfaction. It would have been better to make another ending if there was not going to be a season 2, but! as it all went with the prophecy and all so ok... at least there is a promise.

Very good!!!!

This was really really good! The outstanding acting and outstanding story!

Story: Time related dramas are really hard to pull off, because one really needs to pay attention not to leave any plot holes and make the changes done in the past affect the future in the right and interesting way. Well this drama did a very good job with that! They didn't avoid this problem by using a different time theory of many timelines. They just made every single step change the future and not only that. They also did really well connecting the past and the present later! I also liked that they are only a month apart from each other. It was kind of refreshing in a sense as I was used to dramas with big difference like 10 or more years. They also explained quite satisfyingly how the connection happened. The only problem with the story is the actions of Han Ae Ri's mother. I didn't understand her at all, and why exactly she was doing what she was doing. That was bothering me the whole drama but as it was overall very satisfying I decided to overlook it while giving it a rating. The other part that bothered me was Kim Seo Jin's wife's (played by Nam Gyu Ri) actions. But that can be answered by one's own imagination a little bit, so i decided to overlook it too.
Overall drama was pretty intense and very very interesting, it did got a tiny bit draggy in the middle but it came back on tracks pretty soon and flowed into a satisfying ending. Though if you are seeking romance here, you might not find it, as the characters were mostly focused on saving lives.

Acting: Well acting was astonishing here. All actors did a great job. I'm not a big fan of the female lead who played Han Ae Ri's role but for me this was her best role. Shin Seung Rok did amazing job with playing all versions of Kim Seo Jin. His wife and secretary were also great as well Ae Ri's friends. As I mentioned above i didn't quite understand Ae Ri's mother and Seo Jin's wife but still they played really well.

Music: I don't remember anything impactful for music so it was fine, just enough and not taking the attention away form the drama but helping with the effect of thriller.

Anyway It was great! with couple of small flaws but the good parts were soooo many that those are easily overlooked! One of the best dramas of 2020, sadly didn't get enough ratings but thankfully some actors did get awards! :) I also love dramas with good messages and this one had many nice ones!

P.S. I don't usually rewatch dramas so I put a random number in there

Till Ep 14 its 10! ep 14-16 it's 0!

I am very angry with the ending, but before that i really wanted to write a good review to this :)
If you are looking to watch this or not i that it will help you to know that if you watched Shopping King Louis and liked it, you will like this too! If not, then you might not like this.
The main girl acts like a 5 year old. extremely stupid. The main lead is mature and nice and cute.
but the stupidity of the main girl slowly grew on me and it became hilarious and i loved it a lot. She was extremely positive despite all the hardships she had to face.
This drama was filling my world with hope and happy feelings xD you know when you watch this the world seems like a beautiful and kind place.
very cute, lovely, and bubbly, and funny. the whole place she moved into and the people there. it all seems very nice and kind, that makes you want to live there :)
if you don't like that, then you might hate this drama :) so i recommend watching the trailer. :)

What i liked:
-the main leads, and side characters
-the positivity to the point of stupidity
-the music and piano love
-the side doctor
-the ahjummas
-the kids
-the gangster xD

What i disliked:
-endingggg!!!!!!!!!!!!
-the writer who ruined this xD lol

I want to fight with the writer for ruining this!!!! T_T I was going to give this a full 10! but the last two eps made it fall even into 6! if it was like the last two eps i would have given it one. Like this type of Dots ending was already used a lot and too many times! It seems like the writer was using all cliches but always making them into something different, something funny, something cute, and unusual, and now suddenly at the last two eps someone told the writer they want this and the writer decided to do what they want and did it in an absolutely uninteresting extreme cliche way. :(
whyyyyyy :((( I loved this soo much if not for that ending :( thinking how much nice feelings and hope it gave me I will still give it at least 8.5. maybe 9? lol 8.5 seems too little for the 14 eps and 9 seems too much for the last two eps xD

anyway if you liked shopping king you will like this till ep 14 maybe :)
you might like this if you liked strong woman do bong soon too :)
but if you don't like stupidity or don't find it funny you might hate this a lot so i won't recommend it :)

-1.5 for the ending. The ending is absolute 0! no even worse it's -1999000 xD but everything before it was 10 for me :) so i think after some thought i will still include it in my favs.
and i never rewatch dramas so i just put random number in there.

Fairy tale about healing journey

"Psycho but it's okay" tackles issues such as mental health disorders. And it does it pretty well. In a world where mental disorders may look as "weird" "crazy" etc this drama does a great job at showing that it's okay! It's just an illness and that with the help of others and your own courage to heal you will be okay!

To be honest except the stunning visuals i didn't like it that much at the start. Maybe because thee female lead was acting like the type of male leads i don't like. And i kept forgetting that she is ill too. The "forced" romance didn't come at me at first too. Later though I started to like them and see that they were meant for each other because both needed help, and both received it though each other.
It was a very healing story and i liked the small sub-character's stories too. The darkness that surrounded the characters and how they were fighting with that darkness. However I was expecting much more from the "big reveal" and the last episode. Maybe because it was building up really intensefully throughout the drama and after all that build up the revelation, the big secret wasn't as big and special as it may have seemed. Maybe it was just because my expectations soared too high in the sky. Same with the ending. But it was a quite satisfying and healing one. Plus i think it is not my place to judge the pain that all these characters had. Because each and every person's pain is big and it is not to be ever compared.

As i said, i think this is a character driven story. The interesting characters were really charming and enchanting. Starting with Moon Young and Kang Tae ending with the patients in the OK hospital.
A character that really had an impact on me was Sang Tae and his growth. Autism is an illness too and a really hard one to be portrayed in a drama, but the actor did an amazing job. Sang Tae's growth was really something I enjoyed a lot. He also said a lot of wise words! Even naive and innocent with a mind of 8 year old, sang tae could see through a lot and say things that grown-ups may have not noticed because of overthinking :) . I was also surprised at the actor Kim Joon Hwon who played the president of publishing company Lee Sang In. He was really different here so at first i didn't even notice that it's the same actor who played doctor Park Min Gook in Romantic Doctor 2. I also really like Kim Chang Wan who played director of the OK hospital Oh Jee Wang. He is a great singer and i love how they used his songs in here too. Also his character was very wise and i loved each word he said :) Of course there is also Kim Min Young who is as always the best mom :)

Music was very enchanting especially the opening theme and the opening scenes :) though i couldn't make much sense of the English lyrics xD
Of course Go Moon Young's wardrobe is something to look forward too.
The cinematography is stunning.

For me the highlight of this drama were the fairy tales, the drawings and animations. :) That is what i liked the most in this drama. :)

...."So don't forget it and overcome it. Only the ones who overcome have the right to be happy. If you don't, then you will become a child who can never grow up"....

What i liked:
Fairy tales, Cinematography, healing, side characters with their illnesses, Hospital director, the castle aesthetics, Sang tae.
What i didn't like:
mostly the problems were because i expected too much from this story :) It had such a strong start that my expectations flew into space lol :)

If you are hesitating to watch it or not i suggest to try it a little then decide :) It has a nice share of comedy and suspense so you might not be bored :) Plus the nice messages :) so it will definitely go to my list of dramas with good messages :)

This drama had a great potential. It started quite interestingly. The idea is nice, but the execution was sadly poor, in my opinion.

What I liked:
- comedy
- youtube
- crazy first boyfriend
- kiss scene
- professor + brother Nam Tae

What I didn't like:
- second half of the drama
- not much focus on the frozen people
- plot holes
- crazy first boyfriend

I hated crazy first boyfriend at first but then I was enjoying his scenes thinking like "omg not him again hahahhahahahaa...." lol that was so stupid.
I liked how the lil' girl was telling about youtube all the time LOL
The drama starts off interestingly but the focus of it is the romance so it doesn't explore the frozen people concept which is quite sad.
The end was too predictable.
But overall it's a nice pass-time drama. Not bad and not good

P.S. this is just my opinion, you may really like this drama if you watch or you may hate it. So you can just try it out and see :)

I absolutely loved this drama. such a human drama, hilarious touching, real and unreal. <3 now there is a hole in my heart... i will miss it! And I recommend it to people who love interesting characters :)
There are tons of positive reviews about this drama. And it was what made me watch this, because so many people said it's amazing. But i have been putting it off for a long time. When i finally decided to watch it i was not that intrigued to be honest. So i decided to write this review for the people who are like me and didn't feel the greatest charm of this drama for the fist minutes :)

The start was a bit boring for me, I watched this by playing games on the phone. People going to prison, living in prison. I'll be honest I don't like slice of life dramas. During the first episode i found out it is a comedy (yes i didn't know about it). I was surprised, because I didn't expect it and overall comedy didn't go well with the melancholic theme of the drama. I watched like that around 6 episodes. I couldn't stop because it was indeed interesting, but I also didn't enjoy it much thinking how sad that this is not my cup of tea. Well i was very wrong. around 6-7th episode I already was attached to not only the lead characters but to ALL of them lol. It captured my attention and I was no longer looking at the phone but happily watching each and every episode with interest.

Story:

The story is somewhat melancholic but also comedic and satirical. Hilarious at times, at other times hopeless and cruel, then again full of hope. Sometimes super realistic to the point you wish they would just stick to drama and not realism, and sometimes very unreal making you think like "oh, no way prison life can be this good" lol. It was about a famous person who ended up in prison, his life there and people who he gets to know, the story also switches between those people showing us a lot of each one of them, so that everyone became a main lead in my heart at least once.
This story is about characters. It's a drama about humans, they are the center and everything revolves around them.

Characters:

As i said it's a character driven story. Each and every single character has their little backstory. Which makes you grow attached to all of them. It shows how complex can people be, and at the same time how simple they can be. Each and every person has their cruel and dark and bad sides. At the same time those people have their bright, kind, so-called "normal" sides. I loved the people from their cell a lot. And the prison guards were also great. The whole place was a like a little society with it's rules. With different people, who came there for many different reasons. There were people who ended up there while helping someone, there were the ones who were unfairly accused, there were pity thieves and small scale criminals, there were murderers, gangsters, there were druggies, and also people who embezzled money. Variety of people, variety of stories but they all ended up in the same place and were trying to live there.

Acting:

There is really nothing I can say about acting other than give a standing ovation to all the actors who played here. They all really have done an AMAZING job!

Music/OST:

It was a really nice surprise to hear songs of musicians i like. Kim Kwang Seok a famous singer from 90s who played guitar and sang songs with very touching lyrics. He committed suicide, but people still remember and love his songs.
They also played Panic (Lee Juck)'s Snal! Man, this is my favorite song and i was so happy when i heard it here several times. It has amazing lyrics!! <3 And also can't leave out the great rappers who contributed to the OST of this drama. they really suited the whole concept and were made really well!!

**** I never rewatch dramas so just put a random number there.

What I liked:
-Characters
-Music
-Acting

What I didn't like:
-The ending of one of those characters :(
-a bit slow pace of the drama (BUT this was this dramas charm actually so this can't be considered as dramas disadvantage)
