Friendship so precious you want to be part of

I inserted a warning sentence before the part that is a slight spoiler :) after it the paragraph ends so you can know when it ends also :)
10 out of 10!
First of all if anyone asks me if they should watch this drama I will definitely say yes! It’s very beautiful story of 5 friends and their life as doctors. The first episodes might be a bit overwhelming with too many characters but soon you will get attached to them and know them all ^^ Honestly I thought I won’t like it when I first turned it on. But as soon as I reached even half of the first episode I loved this a lot. :) It's an epitome of my friendship dream! <3

Life in a hospital is not always sweet but it’s not always sour eirher, it’s not always easy but not always hard either, it’s not always cool with glorified doctors but it’s not always uncool either... it’s just life with it’s ups and downs and in this drama we see it through 5 main characters. Yes 5! Not a male lead, female lead and second lead, but 5 friends with different likes, different departments, different stories. Their friendship is the highlight of this drama and the most precious thing in this world of hospital playbook. This whole hospital life is not shown to us only through these 5 precious friends, but also nurses, some directors, and of course patients and their families. How each and every family is different, how doctors are in pain with their patients and are happy with their patients too.

Honestly I don’t like slice of life/ slow dramas. But this one is different. What I don’t like in those kind of dramas is the grey-ness and sadness they show. But here, they show that it’s not always bad, and even if the life can be horrible at the moment, there is always sun that will shine again later. They show that routine can be enjoyable too and even if it’s not it’s not that bad and can’t be just done. And that they can enjoy different hobbies! The next line is a slight spoiler but we all know how doctors can be called any moment and even if they get a call at night they have to run. So when Sung Hwa reaches her camping site and puts the tent she gets a call and has to clean up the tent right away and go back... she didn’t get to do anything but still she says that she enjoyed going there even if it was for a short moment.
And I just loved their band and jam sessions! It was always my dream so it was especially meaningful for me :)

Characters in this drama like I already mentioned are amazing. Each and every one is special, different and interesting. I love how this drama doesn’t have a villain. All of them are just people. And they are awesome people! All of this of course was possible by amazing directing, writing and acting! Actors did such a great job I got attached to each character and don’t want to say goodbye.

Yang seok young may seem like a boring loner and a mama boy, but is very sweet, had his own share of difficulties and is very strong, responsible and nice.
Chae Song Hwa is like a perfect woman but she too has her difficulties and her little hobbies she enjoyes a lot, she is also very strong and very nice.
Lee Ik Jun may seem like a crazy and irresponsible man, but in reality he cares for everyone and is very sweet, he doesn’t help only his friends but also absolutely everyone in this drama, friend of the world.
Kim Joon Hwan may seem cold and harsh but he also cares for everyone around him and does all the sweetest things without anyone knowing.
Ahn Jong Won may seem naive and week, but he has his own big special things that he is responsibly doing and a heart of big soft gold.
The nurses, residents and other staff had their share of screen time too which wasn’t even slightly brining. Each and every person was unique and interesting.
I love how they show us that you can start your career even later in life, even after you failed at another place. That you can find your love later in life too and that everything will be alright and life goes on.
I need to mention also parents of the main characters and other older cast. At first some of them are introduced in a tricky way making us think that they may be bad. But each and every one of them is so precious! I especially loved chairman’s Rosa’s friendship!
And of course patients and their families, we see all kinds of patients mean and kind but all in all everyone was human trying to live their lives.
Humor in here is another thing and I loved that even after the devastating tragical cases they always included comical scenes to not make the viewers sink in the sadness but give them some ray of light and hope that the sun will shine tomorrow and you can laugh!
Anyway it was really a phenomenal drama that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I cried and laughed with them and was extremely jealous of their friendship!!!!

P.S. I never rewatch dramas so I just put a random number in there :)

Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim Is a medical and life drama. I don’t quite recommend it to people who love romance. But overall it’s a good drama and if you are thinking about starting it then give the first season a try : ) If you are coming from the first season and wondering if you should watch the second well. I think first was a bit better. But still you can give this one a try too.

I truly enjoyed first season, but I wasn’t expecting much from the second. I am always skeptical about any seconds in dramas or movies. But the first few episodes were not that bad. I was surprised that it wasn’t bad and they actually gave an explanation about what happened to the previous characters and I liked it.

For shorter review you can scroll down : )

Story:
Story was similar to the previous one. Same villain, same hate (I really don’t understand why people hate on Kim Sabu, but yeah same villain soo…). And many medical cases. Some were obviously made just to show off, some also were made just to trigger the characters. To be honest maybe this could have been done in a less obvious way, but I am no drama writer to judge that. So like a first season we get two young doctors with problems who come to Doldam hospital and under Kim Sabu’s perfect guidance grow wings. Like the female doctor Cha Eun Jae said “fish Koi can grow very big or small depending on the size of the aquarium” well this is just a simpler way of saying what Kim Sabu told before. And the size of aquarium doesn’t necessary mean that you have to work in a big hospital live in a big house and all the prestige and all. Sometimes it can mean the opposite. I enjoyed all the stuff Kim Sabu said during the drama. "The moment you give up, you start looking for excuses. The moment you think you can do it, you start looking for a way" this quote I really loved and even wrote it down, when watching the drama. Even the simple “Come out of that bus already” was truly deep and as a big lover or deep quotes I loved this drama just for that. It was an “ear candy” (if this a right way of saying it).
Sadly many character plotlines are not developed well. They just start very interestingly, then stay at the middle part for quite some time getting draggy, and then suddenly ending without opening up enough. That is the reason why I actually thought that this drama had more episodes and was taken by surprise when it ended. Also this is a Big SPOILER: (jump to characters or shorter review if you don’t want this spoiler) sadly they didn’t show and explain enough of Kim Sabu’s illness. They showed how his hand is healing and happy ending and all but the type of sclerosis he has is serious. I had to look it up because absolutely no one addressed the issue, maybe they thought all the viewers are medical specialists. It said that it’s very serious and doesn’t have a complete cure. But what we get in the drama? Do yoo hwan thinking of using it, throwing a big tantrum like a kid and then kim sabu saying him not making a ruckus out of nothing. Then they should have explained what exactly that illness is. On the other hand I don’t see a point of giving him such a serious illness story-wise if they are not planning to make some dramatic scenes with that. So that was a bit disappointing. End of Big Spoiler!

Characters:
I think it won’t be an exaggeration to call this drama a character driven story. All the supporting character were amazing and Kim Sabu was the best of all. Kim Sabu or Master Kim was again being strong, cool, wise and romantic. His character maybe the biggest reason this drama is getting love by many. Because people like him are rare. And just like all the people who work at Doldam can’t leave that place after finding “peace” and “wings” beside Kim Sabu viewers get captivated by him and find it hard to his side and the Doldam Hospital too. He is the kind of adult whom everyone needs in this world filled with children of any age. Han Seok Kyu’s voice only adds to Kim Sabu’s character. I love the way he talks. So my rating is based mostly on him. Then there are secondary characters like other doctors and nurses. Head nurse Oh is amazing like always the way she call Mr Goo is precious and Mr Goo himself is this hospital’s gem. Bone doctor was a really interesting character I hope they showed more of him and developed his story more. Doctor Jung was also a nice character and I’m sad that he is choosing the hospital over his family no matter how special the hospital is. The nurses were great. And the secondary couple is also very cute. They had some unnecessary crack at the end, but it was resolved quickly. Yoon Ah Reum ssem was so nice. I loved the song she sang at the end by director’s bed. It reminded me of Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana by Smap. A song I really love. No matter how cheesy it is. It’s true. : ) The “bad” side was also very interesting. Dr. Park was a very interesting character. He was grey, but not in a sense of boring. Rather nor good nor bad. I was interesting in his development since the start and his bromance with Kim Sabu, but sadly I had to wait till the last episode for that. The doctors he brought with him were also interesting, especially the anesthesiology Dr. Shim. I was waiting for more development on her side.. The main villain being the same wasn’t that interesting though. We already knew him, and it was quite boring. Like Kim Sabu said his consistency is all that he acknowledges in him, but that consistency was too much so it got to the point of being ridiculous. Do in Bum’s return was really nice I loved seeing him and especially after the actor made is so big. It was a bit too much of showing off. Like several medical cases when he was there only just to show off his skills and make him talk with Seo Woo Jin.
I didn’t mention the main couple until now because just like in the first season I didn’t feel for them. The first season couple though was even worse for me. Maybe because at the time I was watching it I didn’t like both actors (I like them now though). This time I liked both actors but the characters again didn’t make me feel enough for them. They were both introduced very interestingly and I liked the development Cha Eun Jae got, whom I first thought to be crazy to still keep insisting on entering operation rooms, but still that development was not enough. Seo Woo Jin was an interesting character at first but we only had glimpses of his problem and nothing. He never said anything, no one actually said anything, we only know it from some newspaper but we didn’t even get an explanation about how Kim Sabu found that out. Romance was even weaker. I didn’t feel their love and their expressions were kinda forced. Though this might be my biased opinion so don’t let it stop you from watching the drama :)

Some of the OST was great here.

It had some weird editing of an episode ending at a certain scene, then the next episode being a past and then ending at the same scene like the previous episode. (maybe I’m a bit exaggerating, but it was a bit weird). Somehow several shows started to like this kind of editing. I saw this even in variety shows, and even the recent western Witcher was crazy with its pacing. I hope production people realize that this kind of pacing is a bit confusing and linear storytelling is not that boring as it may sound.

Overall the rating I give this drama is high mostly for Kim Sabu, all the great things he said and did and supporting characters. These all is just my style. On the other hand I am not a huge fun of romances so I was just going crazy for Kim Sabu.

Shorter Review:

What I liked:
-Kim Sabu
-Supporting cast
-Returning cast
-Great quotes, life lessons
- Kim Sabu
- Kim Sabu
_secondary couple
-Kim Sabu.

What I didn’t like:
-the main couple
-the main villain
-story development

I don't usually re-watch dramas so I just put a random number in there.

Crash Landing on You is a nice story but with it's flaws. It's not perfect and not bad.
Even if genre stated that it's a comedy I didn't kinda expect it due to the story type (north-south) but it was a comedy :) If I watched this show before I watched too many dramas I would have loved it. But now I can't help but find faults(?) get bored/tired(?).

Shorter review is at the end.

Story:
Love between a person from South and North Koreas. Well there are dramas like this out there, uniqueness came from how they met - "crashlanded" into another country. That was impressive. I loved the start. It was very interesting I was looking forward to it and was uneasy like why do they show side characters so much, while I wanted to look at the main couple. I was also uneasy because of the whole comedy. the situation was extremely dangerous and crazy but it was shown in the drama as light and comedic. I wasn't expecting that so I was taken by surprise but I grew to appreciate that part and that comedic part was what kept me here. In the second half of the drama which i thought i will enjoy more, my attention turned toward all the side characters and I lost interest in the main couple who kept crying, hurting, injuring, crying etc. I do understand those feelings and I cried too while looking at them but only because i'm oversensitive and tend to imagine myself in their shoes. Should I say the story got unrealistic? Well it wasn't realistic from the start but I think the word realistic has two meanings if not more. Realistic like in real world (dramas like Misaend, Black Dog) and realistic like logical(?). I am already used to dramaland unrealistic parts when they hear someone's conversation when they are like super far away, and don't notice someone coming in or hear someone talk when they are beside them only for convenience. Yeah that might be needed for the story. But still at least NIS can't be THAT nice and kind. Well I did go with the unrealistic-ness okay from the moment I accepted this drama as purely a romantic comedy and not a thriller.
the ending was ok. I can see that because of some political issues they couldn't do a different ending. So this ending was like very expected ending from the very start. I like happy endings and well yeah they can't do a happy ending for everyone because they need to keep the "impact" "emotions"...
I loved the references to Memories of Alhambra and Stairway to Heaven.

Characters/Acting:
Oh characters here were amazing! Especially side characters. At first I didn't want to waste my time watching them and not the main couple, but in the end by showing them so much, I grew fond of them more than the main leads. They were great <3 <3 <3 Lee Jeong Hyuks squad was extremely amazing, north ahjummas were really funny and nice, Se Ri's employees were also very nice and cute. Of course acting was top-notched. I like Hyun Bin from Robin from Hyde Jekyll and I.

Other thoughts:
I really don't understand why were they sued because of too nice North Koreans shown in a drama. I have to contradict myself saying that this is just a drama it doesn't have to be realistic xD on the other hand. That part actually might be realistic because it's not like every single person in a country is good or bad. There are all kinds of people everywhere.

Conclusion:
This is a nice drama to watch so i recommend this to anyone who loves romcoms. Those that have seen many dramas and are kinda tired of romcoms might not find this very good though. My rating is high because of the side characters and the comedy. It was funny, otherwise I almost dropped it. But I am happy I finished it :)

Shorter Review:
What I Liked:
-Lee Jeong Hyuk's squad, Pyo Chi Soo (a north korean girl told his accent is the best out of all xD)
- north ahjummas
-north parents
-north accent
-showing us north's lives.
-side couple
-se-ri's elder brother's wife (the stupid one) funny
- Ri Jyoung Hyuk himself.
-Se-Ri's character
-His messages at the end
-Alhambra and Stairway references <3
-Too Kind NIS

What I didn't like:
-second part of the drama
-crying
-injuring
-dying living dying living
-too kind NIS ( i wrote this in like because i liked them but they were like extremely kind and understanding O_O, either all the other dramas out there are depicting the police, prosection, NIS as too corrupt, or this drama showed them too nice, no idea which one is true for now this one appeared to me unrealistic lol xD)

- My rewatch value is almost always 0 because i don't rewatch dramas.

This drama had a great potential. It started quite interestingly. The idea is nice, but the execution was sadly poor, in my opinion.

What I liked:
- comedy
- youtube
- crazy first boyfriend
- kiss scene
- professor + brother Nam Tae

What I didn't like:
- second half of the drama
- not much focus on the frozen people
- plot holes
- crazy first boyfriend

I hated crazy first boyfriend at first but then I was enjoying his scenes thinking like "omg not him again hahahhahahahaa...." lol that was so stupid.
I liked how the lil' girl was telling about youtube all the time LOL
The drama starts off interestingly but the focus of it is the romance so it doesn't explore the frozen people concept which is quite sad.
The end was too predictable.
But overall it's a nice pass-time drama. Not bad and not good

P.S. this is just my opinion, you may really like this drama if you watch or you may hate it. So you can just try it out and see :)

I wasn't expecting much of this drama and just started it because I was bored of other dramas I was watching.
And it was amazing!!! This drama captured me from the start and the message it had behind of this all (maybe I made that message up myself) was awesome. About self awareness, about finding yourself, in real life too, once your character develops you start to act a certain way, and sometimes you say things you don't want to and do things you don't want to, while you never do or say things you want to. Slowly loosing yourself in this hectic world and living through your karma without a way to escape. So becoming self aware makes you raise a big question "why the hell do I need to act this way? I want to make my own fate". And then you also start realizing how you can be an extra in someone's life, and even overall. And how hard it is to change the written scenario. How we may have past lives and our actions there may have led to the stuff happening here and all. Also how after becoming self-aware people get separated from normal society as they notice more and they become alone but how friendships here if they come they are much deeper.
Anyway I really liked this strong message at the start and was amazed at this drama and Dan Oh who was trying to change her fate. However the webtoon originally doesn't make dan oh a fate-changer from the start, all she wants is to find first love. In the drama however we get this strong Dan Oh who wants of course first love too but rather she wants to find someone who will change her destiny. That strong Dan Oh quickly changes into cute Dan Oh saying Haru Haru Haru all the time. At fist i loved it!! It was super cute but by the end it got too repetitive for me.
Haru comes into the scene and is like super mysterious. I loved the mystery around him it was very interesting. I loved his interactions with Dan Oh. I loved their love story! They had such a cute chemistry. Again his character became shallow and repetitive at the end. (IN the manhwa story itself extra is always shallow I understand that, and why it could be like that, but that also made many people like the "second lead")
Beak Kyung was an annoying jerk at the start. I loved him because I liked the actor in the WWW search. But here he was likable at the start for me. But at the end he redeems himself and becomes the most interesting character i guess.
The other side characters and the side "lead" characters were amazing. Like Lee Do Hwa and Yo Joo Da <3
However there were this meaningless love triangles, that became repetitive at the end.
The story got around HaruXDan Oh, Bake Kyung watching from afar, and the heart decease... Maybe they made it like that because it will be hard for them to get the mystery of that world BUT it would have been soo great if they gave us answers like "why did they become self aware in the first place? Who is the writer? Why is he drawing the same characters over and over and over again with no creativity at all? What is that hole? Why did other certain characters become aware...? Will they be stuck in this loop forever till the unoriginal writer dies? How did this world become kinda real in the first place? Why is the manhwa found in this world? Why does Haru draw so well? etc etc etc so many questions and all left unanswered.
I think my expectations just got too high because of the amazing start. It was going better and better each week jumping over my expectations even higher and higher. But the in the later part of the drama it all went downhill sadly.

Though the ending is kinda what I expected it to be... the uninteresting expectation lol. At the start everything i thought was wrong and i was sooo excited about it! I love when a drama doesn't go with my expectations but rather it goes higher. It quickly became the only drama i was looking forward each week and the thoughts that it might the best drama of 2019 crossed my mind too. But at the end it just went to the cliche direction.

Now the cast and actors did an amazing job!!! I loved each of them. I met some of the in other dramas and they didn't disappoint!! The characters were really great too!!
The plot had an amazing message and idea at the start, but couldn't execute it well. It went MUCH better than the webtoon but at the end it just returned to the webtoon..

OST was awesome!! I loved the themes I loved the songs!! I loved the love story at the start and was screaming all around xD

Overall:
It was a great drama and one of those that have super promising start and go downhill in the middle, however this one didn't fall as deep as many others do so I still rated it high because the performances and the execution was great. It just went to the kinda cliche and sad direction.

I don't usually rewatch dramas so i put a random number in there.

What I liked:
1.Self awareness message
2. Dan oh who wanted to change her fate
3. Mysterious Haru
4. All the second and side characters
5. Music
6. Idea
7. Love story

What I didn't like:
1. Repetitiveness
2. Dan Oh and Haru at the end
3. Baek Kyung at the start
4. draggy-ness at the end
5. ending
6. unanswered questions!!

외대한 나라 - 아스달의 시작

I recommend this drama who like epic fantasy or high fantasy. This might not be on the same level as lotr but still they are doing a great job! I loved this drama and this part 3 in particular.

Turned out this being the 3rd part of the first season! And 2 more seasons ahead :) that’s great because the biggest fault for this drama was being too grand but too short.

This part 3 turned out to be amazing. It had many epic scenes, lots of action from the protagonists. The story is very full. They did great work with world building and showing the epic-ness :) it was quite better than the other two parts even.

Characters are very great here. There are many and it maybe hard to remember them all for some people but they are all interesting. I especially love women in this drama as they are strong and cool. And the secondary characters also are very memorable.

Music: well Ailee’s powerful voice always gives goosebumps.

There are some bad sides to this drama and it’s mostly again because of time. Some storylines and some characters disappear as soon as they appear. Before I told this would have been solved if they had more episodes but as there are more seasons ahead I can’t say that anymore. The only excuse will be that worldbuilding is hard, they wanted to create something grand and put in as much as they could. And well actually they are doing a great job at it. Like 90 percent.

I can’t wait for next season!
I need more epic-ness before they return!

I don’t usually rewatch dramas but I feel like rewatching this one.

Score is 9.5 and 0.5 is a bonus for epic scenes. So 10 :)
나 모리의 미아 너이들에게 주문을 곤다. 이 드라마를 보아라. Lol
I really like the epic way of talking :)

I tried to write a review without spoilers but i am sorry this still does contain some minor spoilers.
- !!Disclaimer!!: This is just my opinion about this drama. I don't think this is the Truth of the Truths of this world. I won't recommend this drama to some of my friends, but I will recommend it to some others. So if you want to try this drama and start to hesitate because of this review, please don't :) you can just start it, try several episodes and then decide for yourself! Thank you for reading! -

Doctor john explores the concept of euthanasia, pain, rare diseases, CIPA patients etc. etc.

Well I saw many good reviews so I'll just take the unpopular road this time, with telling the bad things this drama had. very sorry to people who liked this and to people who worked hard making this drama but this was very meaningless and unrealistic story.... I gave rating 4 only for the people who worked on it.

What I liked:
-sister and fellows romance
-kitten
-mom

What I didn't like:
-story (lol)
-characters(lol)
-they mixed too many concepts
-something failed here very badly....
-one-sided answer to a controversial problem.
-main couple's romance
-male lead's occupation
-just everything lol

longer review:

Music was ok, so I just put a random number there. Acting was ok, as they act out the written characters and are not characters themselves. The story/plot.... well this is where the real issues start.
First of all this drama started with prison and showing Doctor Yo Han as some brutal mysterious guy stitching himself. Plus the main female lead Kang Shi Yeong who was constantly crying for any reason. Well at first we don't know the reasons so it's ok. And when we learn her reasons we start to understand her. But she keeps crying even for reason unrelated to her problem, for any little thing. Anyway... after that the whole story goes to hospital. The prison part was extremely unnecessary. It was just a useless way to keep viewers, because 1) it's prison and that itself is usually intriguing, 2) Yo Han was shown very mysterious, which was captivating. BUT It didn't help the plot at all. They could have just stated about prison and that's all.
After that we see them working in hospital. And the problem of euthanasia rises more. We see two people who are fiercely fighting against it, and also the lead who doesn't say anything. So here i thought oh wow this explores that problem it's great! However the drama suddenly starts exploring rare diseases. and you get one rare illness after another and the doctors are like investigators trying to find the culprit. Why, oh why should the anesthesiology department be the only place where people can do diagnosis. Yo Han could have just been a person who gives diagnosis, like doctor House and it would have been awesome. But somehow anesthesiologists do that job. Then they start talking about pain. How people feel pain, what is pain, for what, and about people who don't feel pain at all. Cha Yo Han says many nice quotes. But wait... this is already like 3 different dramas. O_O and all this time Kang Shi Young was following Yo Han a bit like a stalker and crying all around about him not telling her this or that, not being careful etc etc. I felt no chemistry between them, to be honest. It felt very forced and one-sided.
during all this time they were showing some secret group which was somehow related to that problem of euthanasia.
In the middle of the drama the two people who were fighting against euthanasia turned out to be simply crazy. while the drama was showing them so full of justice at first.
Might think this just explores that problem more and more, but in the end it gives a clear answer: "we are against euthanasia, and it is murder". they don't say it like this but this is what is implied very strongly during the last 4 episodes.
The secret organization only truly appears during one episode and then no one even thinks of searching them more.
takes shift to the forced romance and ends, leaving in darkness so many doors they opened randomly but never really showed us the rooms. Him willing to be a doctor like that even while dying also didn't make sense, he totally could be someone who makes diagnosis. that would suit him much better and that was what would needed from that person. This was very meaningless and unrealistic story. Maybe the writer wanted to explore many problems and wasn't sure she will be able to do it in other dramas and decided to use everything here. lol Well this became a grey mixture not even captivating enough.
The characters were also written poorly. Cha Yo Han as I already said is perfect at making diagnosis but somehow he is anesthesiologist, and even performing surgeries sometimes(!!!) I mean not just going there checking the patients sleep and all, but really doing stuff.... lol also treating many patients. their department looked more like the emergency center of rare diseases. In the middle of the drama he starts to act like a girl lol with female lead being all protective and him accepting everything and falling for it. lol Kang Shi Young was a character that cried a lot, got in the way a lot. They tried to show her as a strong person but she wasn't. Her big problem became not so big of a problem later just because she met him and her head was full of him. All the stuff she said was not so nice. I mean i would have gotten angry if someone talked with me like that. told that kind of stuff and cried all the time. The two other resident guys were just funny comedians, not even knowing english... just how in the world did they become doctors. The only nice characters were Kang Shi Young's mom. sister and the other doctor that plays Mugwang (cursed guy) in Arthdal chronicles. Their romance with kitten was nice.
P.S. I watched this with my mom and she was even disappointingly asking how the actors could choose such a drama and how directors could agree to shoot it and no one told the plot as big holes in it.

For someone who dislikes political dramas I surprisingly enjoyed this a lot! I started the first episode while playing games and just because i had to wait for something and had nothing better to do, but from the middle this drama made me lift my head, lift my eyes from the phone and stare at the screen. I did skip some parts though as sometimes their talks were getting longer and sometimes i just couldn't understand the political stuff. I can't say this will be my favorite drama, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed it.

What I liked:

- Kang han na and her investigation
-President's wife!!!!!! who i loved her. She was strong and independent! I loved how Park Mu Jin always asked for an advice form her.
-President couple. They were amazing very supportive healthy family!!! Such an amazing relationship!!!!!
-seol ji hwan and his hacking (I totally shipped him with han na kyeong)
-Ji Jin Hee. He acted so well as the president. As someone who is totally not suited in politics and onto someone who is a true leader.
- Secretary Cha xD he was funny they way he anxiously and nervously talked was also funny but it added seasoning to the drama, i liked it.
- the third NIS agent. he was nice
-The guy who dealt with press as spokes person. He was so nice and funny lol
-the political ending it was really well-made

What I didn't like:

-a bit long and a bit boring at times.
-too many dying without answers and without meaning...
-Oh Yeon Seok Assemblyman's driver lol
-Tailor Kim's end
-The investigation ending!!! it was so hopeless and seemed like everything was in vain without proper answers.

I haven't seen the american version and people who have seen it say this drama wasn't good in comparison. But I think they tailored the drama onto Korean Government really well! just from the start and throughout the drama it discussed sensitive issues of Korean government and it was really interesting.
I also enjoyed the investigation part a lot!! It was very interesting to follow their path!
For the ending however i would like to divide my score. 10 for political ending and 6 for the terrorism investigation ending.

Plot was really well balanced the the whole concept of the story is very interesting.
Characters were very interesting and diverse. I loved how in the end we didn't have completely bad characters. All were people! I would like to say a tiny bit about that because in drama "watcher"'s review i told that it was not good because it was grey without characters being good or bad. I think, there they didn't pull it off well, while here so made it really well interesting and balanced. They were not grey they were people with lots of colors in them.
I want to give two Honorable mentions to women! well actually three! The political woman President Yun! Wow she did her job so well! Until the end i didn't know is she good or bad, and I still don't, she is just an ambitious woman, amazing! Wife of our newly made fresh president. She was amazing i totally loved how he always asked for advice! and of course Han Na Kyong agent! she was strong and smart. She kept investigating until the end and it was great!

All the actors did soooo well playing their roles.

Overall the only thing this was lacking is a more satisfying conclusion of the whole terror incident.

I started this drama because I liked the concept of ghost hotel showed in the trailers and of course i just love IU and i like Yeo Jin Goo. To be honest this drama didn't follow the concept I imagined after watching the trailer. But I still liked it a lot. This will definitely go to my favorites' list. I truly recommend this drama to everyone, because it is beautiful and I am sure you will love that. BUT people who don't like subplots might be bored.
I watched many of the Hong Sisters' dramas, and the Director's dramas and well, none of them were out of ordinary, they all had a great start but failed to keep being great later for me. However this one I can say may be considered as an exception and a success. Maybe that is because of IU's character, but overall ot was great :)

Shorter review at the end.

Story:
Tied destinies, tied fates. The red knot that is connecting all of them shows us a story of love friendship and atonement.
This drama is about a Korean legend, that somewhere around there, there is a place a hotel of the moon where the people who passed away can stay for few days, can rest before they go on to the journey to the afterlife.
The story centers around Man Wol (full moon) and the new manager at her hotel. It's a story that goes through time and space and is a really long one. However during this journey you also see a lot of others. Ghost's side stories that happen throughout a drama and take a lot of time. Well, I truly LOVE this kind of side stories. It's like the good old Japanese mystery dramas/animes I loved. Lots of sidestories all of them can be a story of their own but they still all connect the main story. There are people around there who don't enjoy these kind of things, so If you are so, you might not like the drama as much as I did, however I guarantee you will love the beauty of the drama and IU in it. So you might as well give it a try :)
I loved how this drama focused on the afterlife. Usually the ghost stories don't interest me. But I loved that they showed how people can be taken over by their feelings, almost eaten up and have to wait until that clears, so they can go forward to the afterlife world and then be born again. They showed how sometimes Man Wol helped them not to lose themselves, keep the consciousness and wait till their grudge calms down or disappears. They showed how everything in people's life is not simple and yet it is not so complicated after death. The whole concept of the hotel where ghosts can stay and rest before going to the after life was amazing. I also liked how it changed with time and looked suitable to the era it was in. I liked how they showed that those ghosts can be super scary and at the same time they are still those humans wanting or willing something, it can be something terrible though. It also showed that the grudge even if fulfilled can't be so satisfying as it seemed to be. I really loved it. I loved the concept of feeling of guilt too and how it can make people do unimaginable things even after death. I totally liked all the special services the hotel provided. Anyway it's a complex story about fates that are tied together even after death.

Characters:
Oh IU is marvelous as Man Wol! lol I think everyone heard of her amazing wardrobe, hairstyles and makeup. Well She changed her outfit like 7-10 times during an episode and i LOVED it. haha sometimes it was ridiculous but sometimes it was amazing. Beautiful! But Man Wol was not only pretty she was very strong. a perfect woman. She was feminine yet very strong and at the same time fragile. I loved how she felt confident even while not understanding the economic stuff. I find it also cute how she lived so many years but didn't spent them for learning (which i would LOL) but rather she was all about eating and dressing. haha I loved her character a lot. And I think it will not be wrong to say that this drama hold on to this character and is build around her. Gu Chan Song was also nice. He was an average boy who studied well, in prestige places. He wasn't a special character BUT he was very kind and sweet and smart. I loved him. Thanks to that simple yet warm personality Man Wol could have been moved. <3
I just loved all the main side characters! The three employees of the hotel were such a nice and cute team. I love that we saw more of them at the end. Each of the characters had their own complicated past but each of them still became new people working there and i loved their different personalities. I loved Sanchez(<3) and Mi Ra and the Detective. Sanchez i loved the most out of them. He was a funny friend of the male lead and i think he added a lot of comedy to the show as well as grief.
I totally Loved the gods!! <3 All their personalities were so different and they all did different things <3
I would have liked to talk about all the side characters, even minor ones and even cameos, but I will stop here. :)

Cinematography:
As I said this drama is beautiful! I am going to make a list of beautiful dramas. It's amazing! I really love the cinematography here. And I love the wardrobe of the characters. <3

Acting:
Acting was a Top-Notch. Well I always wanted to say about acting in Characters as they go hand to hand but I saved it for here. IU is always great at acting, i love her in all of her dramas. After the Most amazing but dark and sad my mister role, here she was vivid, wonderful and outstanding. She made the outfit changing in the drama something to look forward to. Yeo Jin Goo is always great at acting but I think this is his BEST tole as a grown-up after Circle. I loved circle but all his other dramas were just meh after it. Finally he got a role where he could fully shine :) Other actors were also amazing! P.O did a great job!!! omg i never thought he will play so well lol xDDD I hope he gets more roles now :) And the Cameos were wonderful!!! So many people made cameos <3 And the last cameo was just soooo impressive!!!!!!!!!
I want to separately say about the Ma Go God. That actress is amazing, truly!! I am so happy she played here lol. The most memorable role of her that I saw was in Good Thief Bad Thief. Oh my she was crazy there. I hated her character with all my heart at first and at the end of the drama I couldn't wait to see her lol. Here she was amazing playing so many <3 I became a fan.

OST:
Well Ost was great :) nice songs, nice artists. what was left in my memory was mostly IU's song that was played only once lol. I just love IU's singing and her Flower Bookmark albums. Also her in MUDO festival with Park Myung Soo XD haha

IN SHORT!! :

What i liked:
-IU!! IU !! IU!!
-Yeo Jin Goo
-The three employees
-Outfits
-Beauty
-cameos
-some concepts
-somewhat ending
-ending super last scene!!!!

What I didn't like:
-some parts of the ending (well It was very logical and well done!! (minor Spoiler!!!!!!!!) - she had to leave and I agree with it yes, but overall they could have showed it much better)
- ending outfits and slowness ( LOL well this one is just something to say if I have to really say something i didn't like, because overall i liked it a lot lol, but during the last episode everything felt super slow, and her outfits were not so amazing. I understand it was necessary though so this can't be considered as something bad about the drama. I just have nothing else to say lol)

hmmmm i can't find anything else i didn't like lol. It was great! A bit not what I expected but It was great I loved it! <3

P.S. I don't usually re-watch dramas so the score i give there is random.

This is not my kind of drama. It reminded me documentary style filming. Not making anything look beautiful, just leave it the way it is. I guess that also can be considered as a charm but it was not so for me.
This show is grey! At the start too, but at the end you realize that none of the characters is good and none of the villains is evil. Everything and everyone is just in between. OCN has some good thriller mysteries. I think this one too will have it's own audience and maybe not the mainstream one.

What I liked about this drama:

-Han Seok Gyu! Well when i heard it's a drama with him i thought i need to watch it, because I loved his acting both in Tree with Deep Roots and in Romantic Doctor. He can seem the same and at the same time so different. I like the way he talks, no wonder many try to mimic his way of talking. He played amazingly well here, and till the end I wasn't sure if he was good or bad.
-Seo Kang Joon! Well I heard about him playing in this drama first and it was a must watch for me as I love him! He played so well everywhere he was in. And being partnered up with Han Seok Kyu, well I thought this is going to be awesome. lol
-The mystery around the case at the start
-OST!! Music!! it was great really! There wasnt much of BGM during the show so it reminded me of Japanese dramas. But when there was music it was amazing! really OST of this drama is great!

What I didn't like:

-It was super slow. There are slow dramas that I like. For example My mister or On the way to the airport. But this is a thriller, I don't think this slowness suits a thriller. Maybe it's just me. At the start it was kinda confusing with two plots, one to know who is the killer and one to find a ledger and catch corrupt people. Later they merge into one. Well it indeed was predictable that they will merge into one but overall this story was complicated and simple at the same time.
-The conclusions of all the cases. Well after all the mystery around there everything turned out not so thrilling and not so full of justice or terrifying. Maybe my expectations were just too big. All the conclusions were meaningless for me.
-The greyness. I like dramas where there is no exact distinction between black and white. There are some good ones. For example the villain in Pied Piper. But here, in my opinion, they didn't pull out that greyness well. Yes, all characters were neither good or evil. they could go anyway. Each one of them could one day become the same villain. But overall I think this all could have been made in a better way and it wasn't. Everything seemed just miserable, leaving a grey taste after the drama.

What I liked:
- the job! Negotiations! solving everything through a conversation. how can a listening ear change everything. work with hostage, terrorism situations!
-the concept of pied piper!
- the main lead's transformation
-the villain
- all the amazing quotes and messages of this drama that makes you think about lots of stuff.
-The ENDING! omg amazing

What I didn't like:
-the female lead! so much cries! >< she was annoying (sorry to the actress)
-a bit boring at parts (especially the begging) it is not a spicy drama, the juicy parts for me started at around 9-10th episodes. lol

I recommend it for at least one time watch :) I really enjoyed it a lot, especially the end. You just need to hold onto it and deal with boring parts and the female lead lol. the messages were fantastic. There is no that much romance though (only a super tiny hint, with a small look or small touch). It is mostly about crime and existential questions that rise through the drama, which i liked a lot.

Longer review:

The pied piper takes the children farther and farther....
What can you do for the truth? For justice? Can you become a monster to teach people to listen to the voices of weak?
This drama is about conversation, power, the voices of weak, negotiation, and quite philosophical thoughts.
I'll write a quick summary because i don't think the real summary describes it well.

Slogan: What is needed in the worst situation is not a violence but a conversation!

Summary:
The main male lead is a negotiator! Cold and calm. He does what he needs to for money. One day everything changes and he turns from a successful negotiator to a person who tries to find out the truth behind that case, which changed his life. The female lead is part of the police negotiation team, which is not so much in favor inside the police. Our male lead ends up joining the team and now they try to uncover the truth behind the series of cases where a certain someone controls people behind the curtains, making them commit crimes.

I'd be honest it was boring at first. Well after watching so many crime/mystery dramas this was not a surprise. Signal was out during the same year and was more than incredible. This one.... no, it can't be as good as signal. It's just a drama which has OK-ish first episodes, couple of twists, and breathtaking final episodes. It starts to open many questions and turn into a big question: Are you ready to sacrifice yourself for the sake of a unknown person, or your own comfort is so important that you close your eyes and ears and just follow the tide?
This is how the Pied Piper, with a not-so-amazing story line, slowly, but certainly, made a tiny question crawl into your mind: Is the villain... really a villain? And here goes the philosophical questions about everything, that made me want to immediately think about meaning of life and stuff like that.
There are lots of stories about revenge for parents, sad childhood etc etc that show us all of that in a better way. Well the Pied Piper looked at the problem in a little different perspective. In each one of us lives evil based on traumas, jealousy, complexes, injustice, rage and if someone suddenly shows you that all those emotions are justified and your revenge is needed, your inner monster can get up and go with the sweet melody of the Pied Piper to the road of Hell. But the melody sounds sweeter and louder covered in the vale of your noble intentions...

Do you know how to boil frogs? You boil them slowly controlling the heat so they don't notice. And when they do it's already too late. This country is such a boiling pot, and we are frogs getting cooked in it. The frogs will never notice unless someone comes and tells them, "Get up! lets leave this place, you are being boiled!"

Story:

Well i talked a lot about this already but i wanted to say some more about the occupation of the main leads. This drama is about negotiating. We have seen lots of dramas where people smack each other. Where police doesn't take action at all, or takes action through violence beating each other and all. Well here we follow the team who doesn't go into violence but into conversation. It shows how important it is and how it can save not only the victims/hostages but also the criminals themselves. Because at the end of the day we all strive to be heard. When no one listens to us we get hurt. And when that reaches a certain level when you are already so desperate to be heard but still hit a wall. No one can stop that rage anymore and in the clouded state one makes decisions that cannot be undone anymore. For fare negotiations the both sides need to have the same amount of power. There needs to be a balance, or you get smashed by the other's power. So you take the risks and get yourself a power that sometimes can't be ignored. Like taking hostages. So that the other party will listen to your plead. To you desperate cry.
I also liked how the main lead showed that in different situations when you need someone to do something, like tell cars to open the road for the ambulance, or tell someone to call the ambulance, you don't say it generally referring to all of the people, but tell it precisely to certain people. for example tell the car number and tell them to move, or tell a a person "you, call the ambulance" and not "someone please call the ambulance". Because people really don't react when when someone talks generally, they think someone else can do it.... I really liked how this drama showed it.

Characters + Acting:

Can't say that this drama has all the best characters. Especially when some of them go through the transformation, we all are familiar with, from a strong policewoman, to a crybaby (yes, this is about the female lead). She has her won role though, showing everyone the road of forgiveness, the road that is not through revenge. There is no romance here, by the way, they did some tiny romantic scenes for show but that's all. This Piped Piper is lead by the two main actors, Shin Ha Gyun and Yoo Joon Sang. Others are just extras. I already knew Yoo Joon Sang from Master in the House. He was introduced as a super energetic musical actor. Shin Ha Gyeon I saw for the first time I think, not sure though. The main lead's character goes through a lot of transformations. From a cold negotiator doing everything what it takes to finish his job and get the money, to someone who cares for others people and fights the injustices for free! He is a complex character with difficult personality and sometimes his acts can seem very bad. Some admire him, some hate him. But he does his work well. Solving a problem with minimum loses. What will you do if you can save 4 people by sacrificing one? Ask yourself the question without all moral principles. So what was the answer.....?
On the other hand Yoo Joon Sang plays a reporter who went from a poor reporter with no power, to someone who gained a lot of power by closing his eyes on a certain case only once. Well he didn't forget his principles though. He wanted to unveil lots of truths so he worked hard in his own way. Yoo Joon Sang could perfectly portrait him till the end! standing ovations for him.

The ending was incredible! It was breathtaking and this drama was worth every second for just that ending! bravo!

Music:
It was great! In the OST I discovered a nice song that describes this drama so well!

In conclusion, I think this drama is worthy of at least a one time watch :) Just need to keep watching despite it being not so spicy at the start.

P.S.I usually don't rewatch dramas so i put a random number there.

I absolutely loved this drama. such a human drama, hilarious touching, real and unreal. <3 now there is a hole in my heart... i will miss it! And I recommend it to people who love interesting characters :)
There are tons of positive reviews about this drama. And it was what made me watch this, because so many people said it's amazing. But i have been putting it off for a long time. When i finally decided to watch it i was not that intrigued to be honest. So i decided to write this review for the people who are like me and didn't feel the greatest charm of this drama for the fist minutes :)

The start was a bit boring for me, I watched this by playing games on the phone. People going to prison, living in prison. I'll be honest I don't like slice of life dramas. During the first episode i found out it is a comedy (yes i didn't know about it). I was surprised, because I didn't expect it and overall comedy didn't go well with the melancholic theme of the drama. I watched like that around 6 episodes. I couldn't stop because it was indeed interesting, but I also didn't enjoy it much thinking how sad that this is not my cup of tea. Well i was very wrong. around 6-7th episode I already was attached to not only the lead characters but to ALL of them lol. It captured my attention and I was no longer looking at the phone but happily watching each and every episode with interest.

Story:

The story is somewhat melancholic but also comedic and satirical. Hilarious at times, at other times hopeless and cruel, then again full of hope. Sometimes super realistic to the point you wish they would just stick to drama and not realism, and sometimes very unreal making you think like "oh, no way prison life can be this good" lol. It was about a famous person who ended up in prison, his life there and people who he gets to know, the story also switches between those people showing us a lot of each one of them, so that everyone became a main lead in my heart at least once.
This story is about characters. It's a drama about humans, they are the center and everything revolves around them.

Characters:

As i said it's a character driven story. Each and every single character has their little backstory. Which makes you grow attached to all of them. It shows how complex can people be, and at the same time how simple they can be. Each and every person has their cruel and dark and bad sides. At the same time those people have their bright, kind, so-called "normal" sides. I loved the people from their cell a lot. And the prison guards were also great. The whole place was a like a little society with it's rules. With different people, who came there for many different reasons. There were people who ended up there while helping someone, there were the ones who were unfairly accused, there were pity thieves and small scale criminals, there were murderers, gangsters, there were druggies, and also people who embezzled money. Variety of people, variety of stories but they all ended up in the same place and were trying to live there.

Acting:

There is really nothing I can say about acting other than give a standing ovation to all the actors who played here. They all really have done an AMAZING job!

Music/OST:

It was a really nice surprise to hear songs of musicians i like. Kim Kwang Seok a famous singer from 90s who played guitar and sang songs with very touching lyrics. He committed suicide, but people still remember and love his songs.
They also played Panic (Lee Juck)'s Snal! Man, this is my favorite song and i was so happy when i heard it here several times. It has amazing lyrics!! <3 And also can't leave out the great rappers who contributed to the OST of this drama. they really suited the whole concept and were made really well!!

**** I never rewatch dramas so just put a random number there.

What I liked:
-Characters
-Music
-Acting

What I didn't like:
-The ending of one of those characters :(
-a bit slow pace of the drama (BUT this was this dramas charm actually so this can't be considered as dramas disadvantage)

I really recommend this drama to those who love seeing strong women. I think this drama was driven by characters themselves and not the story. Quite woman-centric, portraying 3 different women, totally different and strong, each in her own way. This drama also has quite enough romance for all female leads.

What I liked:
- women (strong, cool, not losing to men)
-characters (complex and diverse)
-acting (was top notch)
-Scarlet (Cha Hyun) - her character was really like a girl crush for me. But i think that each can find their own crashes because the characters were so diverse.
-men - super charming
-Barro (company) and Brian (SEO) - well I totally liked the way Barro was made and the whole company. Brian was a great leader i loved him!
- nice "quotes". e.g. "What can you do, the world is like that. But also as an adult who had played a part to make this world like this, I apologize to you". by quotes i mean that some of the lines of the characters had an impact on me and i liked them a lot. I liked how they all talked and what they all were saying.
-the job they had. It was quite refreshing to see a drama about a job that you don't usually see in dramas. Working for a search portal. therefore the drama had a lot of stuff dealing with search keywords and it was quite interesting.

What i didn't like:
-for me the romance of the main couple was a bit too much. I started skipping their since. Maybe this is only me I am not saying their romance was bad. It started off great! But in the middle and at the end it started to be a little bit boring for me, when the romances of others started to be super interesting.
so -0,5 points is because of this haha.

P.S. I don't usually rewatch dramas so I just put there whatever.

This is the second season of Arthdal Chronicles.
If the first season was like an Introduction, this season is where everything starts to move and we learn a lot and get lots of answers. We were introduced to the world now we get some more information about it and its beginning. So i guess the third will be like conclusion.

I wrote in my review to the first season the mythology behind this drama. Well in second season everything starts to be more clear. And we see now a lot of confrontation between Sarams (literally means human in Korean). The smart political game where everyone is thinking what the other will do and tries to make a step ahead. In this game our characters are also included. Especially Tanya who didn't do much in the first season, now she and her newfound partner (introduced at the very end of the first season) are the highlight of this season.

What I like:
- We get a lot of answers
- already being used to their names, this is much easier to watch
-everything starts to move.
-Tanya is cool (i just love the answer she came up with after devastating news)
-Saya is cool (so cold, so scary, so smart and all of that is a reflection of how he grew up)
-Mubeak! (lol if in the first season he was like a soldier killing and all but was actually thinking much much more than others, in this season we get more of him and he is cool)
-Taeahlla and Tagon (well these two characters are so complex, i think they are out of the definition good or bad they are more like victims of the era, of their childhood, of their origin)
-all characters are very complex, really outside of black and white, good and bad.
-the smart political games or everyone trying to gain power!
-again learning more and more about the world, and about Wahan tribe's origins, and about all the stuff Tanya learned, and about Nhaenathals!

What i didn't like:
- the seasons again.... why did they have to separate it into seasons i just don't get it lol. Now I have to wait till the new drama(which im looking forward to) ends, so that 3rd season starts haha. the cliffhanger is hard to bear.
-If in the first season one character (Tanya) was doing almost nothing but being taken away, this time was another main character's turn lol. But based on the preview we will get lots of action from him :) haha

p.s. i usually don't rewatch dramas so my rewatch value is always 1, but this one was kinda complicated, i even rewatched the first season's first episode to understand it more. That's why the rewatch value is 10. i bet much more will be clear after a rewatch.

Fluffy bubbly lovely cute drama :)

This drama is a very cliche RomCom but i still loved it. I generally love Kim Young Kwang, the actor who played Do Min Ik the main male lead. I was also looking forward to the second main role for female lead Jin Ki Joo, whom i loved in come and hug me. she was great as Jeong Gal hee. Acting was great story was good, it was nice cute and bubble nothing super bad.

What I liked:
- The side character VeRRRonica Park :D she was Awweeeesomeee!!! <3 i love her she became my favorite character. i was expecting her to be the annoying second female who get jealous and does bad stuff, but nope she was Aweeesome!! (Bangawoyo Original VeRRonica Park - i yeyo~~")
- The side character Gi Dae Joo, Veronica's love interest and Do min Ik's best friend. He was so cute haha the innocent and all goody guy :)
- Do Min Ik and Jeong Gal hee themselves they were so cute!
- Secretary squad
- Invisible Confidence Coat that gave confidence to anyone who wears it <3 haha so cute
-Jeong Gal Hee's sister's relationship with veronica park and her cursing in that play.
-Woo Hyun's cameo in the sauna as Jeong Gal Hee's date (the little actor who played Lee bang ji in tree with deep roots and who was chosen as the ugliest person in Infinite challenge lol) he is so cute. lol
- Ending

What i didn't like:
-Do Min Ik's extremely cute side lol i like cuteness but not that much xD i kinda prefer manliness, but this is only my own preference so this doesn't count as a minus for this drama
-Jeong Gal Hee's too much crying in the middle parts of the drama. Well i do understand her being sorry but being unable to tell, but it was taken to too many episodes i almost lost my attention, BUT Verrrronica Park kept me :D
-Jeong Gal Hee's brother... lol i understand he can't see and is kinda cute pretending to be manly strange and quirky but sometimes it was too much for me haha he added lots of comedy though.
-Do Min Ik's mother, well their relationship was too much but Min Ik made it better at the end. (this also is personal preference haha)

Well actually all the above in "what i didn't like" is mostly personal preferences so don't make them keep you from watching this drama.

Overall:
It was Aaawesomeeee (in Original VeRRRonica Park's voice)
