maybe he's the brother of the student that Chi Yeol always dreams about. remember in one ep, he was talking to…
I don't normally post links to articles I've written (detest self-promoters :) ) -- but it's been bugging me for a couple of weeks now, as the scene in the shop in Episode 2 confused me as to Dong Hee loving or hating Chi Yeol (why did he fire the ball through the shop window when Choi Yeol was there?) . So I wrote about it IN DEPTH earlier today once I figured out why -- it might help you make up your mind as to "love or hate", as I have now made up mine :)
Planning to start this soon but is there romance storyline for fl's daughter? Saw some clips here on there on…
That's not really the focus of the story, it's just a side story. A side story I could honestly take or leave, as it's not that important in the general scheme of things. (Love triangle between daughter and 2 boys in her class -- not a huge part of the plot overall though).
Main story is amazing though, the acting is superb (especially Oh Eui Shik as the FL's brother with Asperger's), there are some truly hilarious scenes, and the chemistry between the two leads is phenomenal. Jung Kyung Ho does a fabulous job too as the nerdy math superstar ML you really don't like much at first, but that changes quickly once you realize why he acts like he does.
You should watch it. It's one of the best rom-com dramas from Korea in quite a while (although the comedy is more in the earlier episodes, more drama in the later episodes). Especially as it deals with a romance between older characters, both of whom have been screwed in life through no fault of their own.
I don't understand why everyone is assuming Choi Chi Yeol is "inexperienced". That has never been suggested. Just that he doesn't get into serious relationships. Besides, if you know anything abut Asia, most Asian countries including Korea have a thriving sex trade (it's illegal in Korea but still everywhere), so many Asian men who don't have steady relationships have sex/get experience with a prostitute. (About 24% of Korean men in a recent survey said they had visited a prostitute, and that's just those that admit it).
I must be in the minority in that I'm still enjoying this chaotic blend of romance and thriller. :D Clearly half…
Nope, you're not the only one. I'm loving every episode -- fabulous characters, superb acting from every one right down to the smallest bit part, fun story, and lovely chemistry between Jeon Do Yeon and Jung Kyung Ho. I'll be sad when it ends (and will then be immediately rewatching from the beginning :) ) And yep, agree with you on Geon Ho - sweeter than pie.
Two episodes in -- dropped. Annoying female lead (can't stand stupid women, and not one I have to watch for 20 hours), over-the-top "comedy" that isn't, awful acting, and a boring story. Not a chance I can sit through 20 hours of this junk.
fun, short rom-com. While I was annoyed at the original premise of the FL going after ML because of overhearing…
I really liked how that was written because, by Episode 4 when the niece shows up, instead of dragging out the FL's misunderstanding for another four episodes, which is what many Korean writers do, the writer ended it cleanly right there with the FL immediately realizing what a jerk she had been to the ML by just assuming he was a pedophile because she saw him with a teenage girl.
One of the funniest short K-dramas I've watched in a long time. Started watching it at 8 o'clock last night. Finished the entire thing at 6am. Loved everything about it -- hilarious, sweet, beautifully acted and, for once, doesn't feature a single character you hate. Instead every single character is not only likeable, but mostly loveable. A really relaxing sweet watch.
Ah, I love "Crash Course In Romance" so much right now and am happy I stumbled upon it in the "New" section when…
It's the best drama of 2023 so far, IMO. Phenomenal performances from every one in it, and brilliant chemistry between the two main leads. Hilariously funny, and also incredibly touching. Absolutely one of my faves and, like you, I stumbled on it after I became bored with the one drama I was then watching.
Crazy Love. Best thing to come out of Korea last year. Both the male lead (Kim Jae Uck) and the female lead (Krystal…
It really is brilliant. Both main leads are phenomenal, especially Kim Jae Uck, and their chemistry is amazing. Plus, the writing is superb. Some of the funniest incredibly "out there" and unusual scenes I've seen in any K-drama. If anyone asks me to recommend a Korean drama, this one is always at the top of my list. Plus, if you enjoy a drama where the male lead's transformation is absolutely immense, and you go from detesting him to absolutely adoring him, you will really love this one. I haven't laughed as much, or cried as much, in any K-drama in eons :)
JKH is perfect - watch him in Falling for Innocence - I loved him in that series.
You were correct about Falling For Innocence. Hated the first four episodes. I've just finished Episode 7 and am now absolutely addicted :) And Jung Kyung Ho is excellent in it! Thanks for the recomendation and for pushing me to keep watching :)
I totally agree with you. JDY is absolutely stunning. They just made her look older with the dated grandma style…
Yep, they have her with that Ajumma haircut as well -- the thin, whispy bangs -- that makes her look so much plainer and older. Look at photos of her when at press events, movie premieres etc though, and she's absolutely gorgeous. Stunning bone structure.
I don't understand the age gap criticism. I've dated men who were 14 years older than me and 13 years younger.…
That's what I've seen online most of the time when an age gap is being criticized. They're either teenagers, or adults with little experience in relationships. Meanwhile millions of people are dating or married to people quite a bit younger or older than them. One of my closest friends, for instance, is married to a woman 17 years older than him, and they couldn't be happier or more in love. Oh, and if I remember correctly (?), Jeon Do Yeon (Haeng Seon in Crash Course) is married to a man who is 9 years older than her.
