MDL really needs to allow us to block more than just a few people.

None of the ghosts are remotely scary as the make-up/costuming is so bad. Obvious they're just B-list actors in badly-applied make-up, IMO.

Ghost make-up is SO bad in this. Not believable at all.

But, thoroughly enjoying the drama. Very entertaining once you get passed the first 50 minutes of Ep 1 -- excellent performances by Yook Sung Jae, Bona and Kil Hae Yeon. Kim Ji Hoon is also much better in Ep 2 than in Ep 1 where his over-acting was on full display.

Fascinated to see what happens next.

Hahaha, it just did. Holy Sheeyut. Just watched the last 10 mins. Yep... now I'm all in :)

And wow, Yook Sung Jae's performance in the last few minutes was incredible.

If it, and he, continue like this, I'm going to love this more than anything :)

I moved on from K-dramas to C-drama about 6 months ago, and much prefer them. Costumes/sets/scenery are far more lavish, and the stories are more interesting. IMO.

Just can't seem to find a K-drama lately I'm remotely interested in sticking with. Including this one so far, as it just seems so 'average'.

No. Main role. He's the King, and already married with a child.

Same. Bored stiff and I'm not even at the end of Ep 1 yet (15 minutes away). Acting is average, plot is average, ghosts are horribly made-up, and there is quite a bit of overacting. Was expecting a lot more of this with the excellent ratings in Korea.

Will stick with it for a few more episodes (if I ever get passed Ep 1) :), but it may just not be for me.

Wonder if that's my problem. I'm 15 minutes away from the end of Ep 1 and can't even muster any energy to finish it. Does it honestly get better?

Personally, I think the ghosts are poorly done, so not remotely frightening. They're all just obviously a person in very heavy (dirty) make-up. Not impressed with the make-up at all so far.

Average so far.

EDIT: Okay, changed my mind. Last 10 minutes were SUPERB.

And, if you're like me, bored throughout most of Ep 1, stick with it. If it continues like the last few minutes, this one will be EPIC. :)

I don't know about you, but I find Asian ghosts waaaay creepier than western ghosts :)

Lived in Thailand for 14 years, and watched so many Thai/Japanese/Korean/Vietnamese/Cambodian shows/films where I ended up not being able to sleep for days after, and I'm not easily scared :)

If you really never want to sleep again, watch a Thai film called Shutter -- freaked me the eff out. And I went to see it in the movie theater with a group of Thai friends, and sat next to a Thai guy who SHRIEKED throughout the whole film, and kept grabbing my arm. He said he didn't properly sleep for a week after -- hahahaha.

Supposedly. :) That could change, of course, but so far it has a 2025 premiere date, but I'm guessing towards the end of the year.

Would be great if it does tho. I love all three lead actors, and the plot sounds fascinating.

Govt paperwork shown, hence innocent of all accusations. Move on to your next bit of gossip, because apparently that's all you care about . Please. It's annoying.

Excellent from beginning to end. Loved everything about it. And, at only 12 episodes, a really easy binge.

Because the trolls are back, and the people who run MDL allow it to happen again and again. (Because it's nothing about supporting Asian dramas, and everything about making money for this awful platform ).

Same idiot trolls. Different day. Ignore every MDL rating. They are rarely accurate.
