It's been a while but the best I can describe it is that they wrote it wanting there to be but it just doesn't really come off as such. Yes it's there in bits and pieces that feel shoehorned in so it's not enjoyable to be. You may find differently.
I can't believe I'm saying this but this would be perfect if it weren't for the "happy ending". I use that term loosely though.
The thing is, this is beautifully acted, especially by Seo Kang Jun. The story would have been great as a story of just "life goes like that and goes on" instead of all the gratuitous extra strife and ML never actually growing the way he should have.
I actually really liked this, even though I don't like things that bum me out. ML was the best to watch. I'd recommended the watch, just know that you'll be frustrated. Lol.
I'm on episode 2 and I'm having the opposite feeling. Lol. FL is over the top immature and the slapstick is just…
I'm on episode 6 now and I'm just forwarding through it now tbh. Lol. Park Seo Joon is the only good part and his character is driving the plot. Honestly, this show isn't good enough for him but he's doing well with what he's got.
This is in my watchlist for so long and im starting it now. The first episode was so bad, doesnt have the hook…
She does the opposite of take advantage of him. Maybe you're interpreting it differently. I did find her a bit much in the beginning but watching them with the context of years of having a strong friendship helps you notice more. I don't know if you finished it, but their chemistry was amazing in the most adorable way. As their relationship changed, the friendship remained. We don't have to all like things, but this one for me was a wonderful, happy story.
I don't even read these comments before watching anymore. Lol. If I had, and had believed them, I would have missed…
The curveball plot tropes were short and sweet. No dragging them out when you know what's coming. ML was adorable. Baby, beyond adorable. FL was pretty realistic for her situation and there was growth. 2ML was not a heartbreaker. Just everything you should want in an easy to love romcom, tbh.
That's a shame. You're going to miss some of the best kdramas out there. She's a talented actress and has been for years. She lost all that weight for a role in which she was deathly ill. I don't think that's wise either, but it had a purpose beyond trying to look attractive. The entire Korean entertainment industry is hyper focused on being thin, so you'd have to just stop watching dramas to avoid that. Watch Healer, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, When the Weather is Fine, and the one she lost weight for Marry My Husband. You'll see the talent.
idk what to think about that, I think it's one of most uneven drama out there. production value is great, beautiful…
Exactly. I just finished it and I think I'm too emotionally exhausted with it to explain the issues. Thanks for doing it for me so well. Lol. I will say that Seo Kang Jun was incredible in his performance. Park Min Young, it was nice to see her in a bit different role than I'm used to seeing her in. This character was kind of infuriating to me, with her lack of emotional maturity and selfishness at times. She did a great job with it.
I feel the same way. It just feels like there is something missing that would make it cohesive. I can't put my…
Yes, I think you're right about that. That's what's missing, the "like" part. It's just not there. It's like they left that part out when they wrote it, and the director thought we'd just get the feeling because we are supposed to. It's a shame because it could've been really good.
The story is okayish, but there is something so off about this Kdrama. Idk; is it the acting? The director or…
I feel the same way. It just feels like there is something missing that would make it cohesive. I can't put my finger on it. Their chemistry is off but I feel like that's a writing issue. Lomon is charming but it's like a chunk of his character is missing. Kim Hye Yoon feels like she was not the right choice for this character, even though this is the kind of character she does well. It's weird. Lol
This had all the ingredients for a show I should have loved. It had a paranormal premise, a cool slant on spirit…
It has all the things I like too, but it's the FL character that's tripping me up. She's got the emotional maturity of the 12 year old her. She's not likeable to me and I can't get into her. ML not having much emotion on his face is in line with the character; trying not to get emotionally involved with anyone due to the curse. I'm kinda checked out with 3 episodes left but I do want to see how it ends for him.
I'm watching this after dropping it when it came out. I thought maybe I just wasn't in the mindset at the time to enjoy it. Nah. The guys are good but it lacks any depth for me. I can skip entire scenes and not miss anything important. The fight scenes are decent but most are unnecessarily long. It just doesn't draw me in to the story at all. It's just a story. If that makes sense.
As a fan of things, they did a great job conveying the feeling. And it was a fun fantasy come true thing. Fun to imagine if you could actually get to know your idol as a person, even without the romance part. Kim Jae Seong was definitely a perfect casting for idol. He was adorable, especially the scenes at the end. She was perfect too. They had good chemistry and it was fun.

You can also stop at episode 12 and be happy.
FL is over the top immature and the slapstick is just annoying because of that.
ML at least has a reason, even if it's not very professional of him to let himself react that way.
I don't know if you finished it, but their chemistry was amazing in the most adorable way. As their relationship changed, the friendship remained.
We don't have to all like things, but this one for me was a wonderful, happy story.
Edit to add that I finished this 2 days ago and I miss these people. Lol. Rarely does that happen to me. This is such a happy show.
