FACTS!!! I really need to watch this. Even though I have watching C Dramas for 8 years, I have not come across a drama that cover so many historic periods. As non Asian, I actually struggled to keep up. I will watch this during the Christmas Holidays when I have a lot of vacation time.

I agree with your opinion when it comes to Pursuit of Jade. For me I rate The Legend of the Female General higher (even though sometimes 'older' tend to be outshined), because on TWO occasions Zhao Ye had to start from the 'foot soldier' and work her way up. When I compare the two, I enjoyed Zhao ye's struggle to become a General. Mrs Fan rise was 'fast tracked'
Same as the earlier comment, I was able to reserve this drama on iQIYI about 24 hours ago.
I just checked iQIYI, and it is still showing as Coming Soon in My reservations . To be fair, I reserved another drama last December on and it is now on No.26 (of 30) the list iQIYI has on their home page. Assuming they are planning to release those dramas in that order, then we have some wait ahead of us, because this drama has not made the list of 30 upcoming releases as yet. Fingers crossed for a December release!!!

This actress is VERY good. I actually came across her drama, the King's in Love . I think I watched it way back in 2021. Last week I was browsing iQIYI and accidently clicked on it again, and started to watch it again even though I remembered it instantly. I agree with because I am also watching Poisoned Love (also in (iQIYI) and she is delivering again.
Sadly, this is one of the realities / hurdles in the industry. There are loads of actors and actresses with family money and connections whose acting is par and sub par; but they keep getting the roles. I am not sure about her background, but in general nepotism + your connections is a handy formula these days. Nevertheless, I hope she enjoys acting and continues to deliver when given the chance
