Because everything he does has a rationale. He is never selfish, evil or greedy. He punished people who did evil and ruined his life and others. His illness is ptsd, many people suffer from it and it can be treated with therapy or medication so I wouldn’t give up someone because of this. Who doesn’t want a man who is highly intelligent, feminist, handsome, sexy, loyal, protective, confident, generous, wealthy, powerful, with amazing cooking and kissing skills? You would 100% fall for him.

I applaud the writers for making the characters so consistent. They never change which is more realistic

Depends what you like. Too much palace intrigues bore me, i like a bit of it but prefer when a drama focuses on the couple and their growth and romance. So I prefer this drama. It’s slow burn romance but the best romance and skinship I’ve experienced in a drama

Yes I also feel that Bai Lu showcases real nuances in this role and her chemistry with the ML is the best IMO

He is the most misunderstood male lead ever. He got so much hate in earlier episodes but he didn’t end up abusing her like her friend in the first life and protected her with his life in the second.

I don’t quite understand MDL sometimes. A fabulous drama like story of kunning palace get a 8.9 but this drama gets a 8! Very bizarre

Hey there, but in the flashbacks you can see the brother in the palace and he is talking about what ministers said in court so he should be a real crown prince, no? One explanation could be if his father (prince) is the emperor’s brother and if the emperor doesn’t have any descendants (then it would make sense to appoint his nephew ?)

Has anyone read the book? I still don’t understand the family dynamics. The ML calls the crown prince 5th brother but his father is not the emperor. Am I missing something ?

Why does she need to be young. If you want to break the stereotypes it should be an older single woman who doesn’t look like a model but is smart and competent.
