I find the older sister to be cast perfectly! I wouldn't put her in a different role. In fact, she and the 2nd…
Yes, that’s exactly it. His roles always make him look like a creepy uncle. I want to know why an actor like Kenny Lin keeps on getting those great scripts and lead roles but not someone like jeremy.
I've watched most of Jeremy Tsui's dramas (except for Chong Zi) and he has so much potential but seems to struggle…
SPOT ON! So glad someone is mentioning it. Most of his fans are in denial (and I adore him). He or his agency are terrible at picking scripts. He has the talent, looks and charisma on par with other A list actors (and better that some super popular ones IMO) but gets so-so scripts. He was stellar in Legend of Dugu and Autumn Ballad
real talk tho if FL is sane and wants to marry someone the correct order should be Zhang Zhe>Yan Lin>Villager…
Mmmm you do realise that had she chosen the men you outlined, she would have actually died? They literally all out her in danger in one way or the other. All although Yan Lin is sweet in the second life we all know that he is capable of being a monster when he is betrayed. XW is 1000 % the best choice
once again... not only in South Korea, come on now, it's getting annoying, and yes, it can be THIS bad
I actually agree with you - Korean writers can get carried away with the dramatisation of mental illness. And it probably stems from their own bias against mental illness (mental illness = crazy, dangerous). The type of symptoms she is experiencing are more akin to schizophrenia than a classic bipolar disorder IMO. You don’t get hallucinations if you are bipolar - you do have extreme mood swings but her state is a lot more severe. We may find out more about her condition later so maybe she does have something else that is currently wrongly diagnosed as bipolar disorder.
Not everyone dates or has a boyfriend. Some peole are shy and they don’t date. Some are not interesting in dating.…
I know women under and over 25 who never kissed, that is absolutely fine. It is either down to religious or moral beliefs. What is weird is the way these dramas infantilise proper grown women and make them sound and look like literal pre teens. Being a virgin doesn’t mean acting like a child, these are totally different matters. It is just as problematic as the Lolita concept kpop is selling us. I can 100% tell when the writer/director is a man or a woman. C drama with female directors don’t have FLs with baby voices acting like a baby to please men. They purposely cast petite women with teenage like bodies and make them act childish to seek the protection and love of an alpha male. There are so many dramas that have cute FLs who don’t behave like this.
Interesting question! And I think that there is "big difference between a childish FL and a childlike FL"And when…
She would look adorable if she was an actual teenager or child. It’s disturbing when a grown woman (both in real life and drama) acts the is way. It would be different if she was playing a teenage girl. It’s pretty disgusting in this context especially as you can see how different the other women (same age) behave in the drama.
why is the female lead so childish? this is a common thing in Chinese drama. I wonder why that’s the case.
That’s what I always question but it seems that the majority is f commenters think her attitude is justified because she knows she will return to the real world. But I disagree, they make her act and look like a 12 year old. Zero chemistry with the ML. She looks like her little niece.
ROTAR has much better romance and chemistry between the leads. This drama is entertaining but the FL acts like a 12 year old, not a grown woman from modern times. So childish cutesy stuff and middle school kisses. The SML and SFL carry the drama IMO.
same here, im always stuck rewatching fav dramas cause i cant move on ;aslfjsao;kl
It’s just so rare for a drama to combine so many great things - gripping script, lead that have talent, top tier looks, chemistry, cinematography, pace, amazing skinship, no childishness, very happy ending.
Right but everyone can't sew her own ripped... This will probably be what separates her novel and her real world.…
I totally understand what you mean, and I agree about the difference between fiction and reality. I guess here the FL is portrayed as this flirtatious woman and she is saying to her husband that she likes him and would do anything he wants. My assumption is that she is a smart woman so for her to be acting so surprised by his actions is weird. This is her new reality and they are married so not sure why she’d expect him to want to stay a virgin if they both confess their feelings.
This is when dramas lose me. The FL comes from modern times and wrote a mature novel, teaches people how to flirt and tells a grown man (whom she married) that she will do what he wants. But then acts like a middle school girl when he tries to kiss her. Come on!
Actually I really want to know why mostly people in here like XW? if he is exist in the real life, he’s like…
Fair enough - I mean, we can't really compare like for like their era and ours. In our modern times there would be no reason for him to fight for survival like this. I'm putting things into perspective - the weakest gets automatically killed. We can see this from the first life. The only reason she managed to stay alive in both lives is because of him. So I guess in this context I would cope with the neck grab and scary eyes.
