Way too long compared to C dramas. I don’t like big gaps between episodes. Great if you don’t mind but I do.

Because with clear and mature communication we would not be able to enjoy an angsty and romantic K drama and live vicariously through a FL who was married to the most selfless man that he’s ever existed. :)

Why do I get addicted to dramas that take ages to release new episodes. :(. Could someone please recommend very similar dramas (previously married couple falling in love again)? I already watched Emergency couple and Cunning lady.

My theory is that they are going to pull the - I had to pay my mother’s debt and wanted to protect you - trope as it’s weird that she said his mum took over his studio and took him off her will. Or he discovered that he is infertile and can’t give her a child hence why introducing her to a nice and healthy man.

LOL I love coming to MDL to read the no nonsense comments of K drama old timers. Like you all already know what's what and have probably cracked the ending already. :)

Not a very smart answer, If chinese producers want to expand their reach they need to make the effort to translate into the most used languages - English being one. I definitely won't be learning mandarin just to watch dramas.

An age gap is very different depending on the level of maturity of both individuals. If she was 20 yes that would be very creepy and wrong but she is 30 so a grown and experienced adult.

Adore Wallace - these type of roles are perfect for him, he always delivers. Can't stand the FL though, wish it was someone else

China hasn't changed - no creativity, they literally copy/paste shamlessly. The Vincenzo "inspiration" is so obvious. SMH

The ML simply cannot act and has no charisma. I would have expected him to improve by now but he is a total snoozefest. He really lucked out to have been paired with an amazing FL in his first drama as he clearly doesn't elevate the game.

yes I agree but it's not done well in this drama - they are both not supposed to be super young. It just doesn't make sense for them to habve these big responsibilities but acting like little children. And we are supposed to believe that the ML is already crazy in love with her and willing to risk it all. When did this happen? I don't mind character growth but there needs to be a good rationale behind it - in AOL Jin Mi was very childish but there was a whole valid context around it and her fun side made up for it. Plus the ML was mature and balanced things out. Here, it's just two mature looking people who are supposed to save/destroy the world but act like little teens

Another BIG disappointment. :(. I was really looking forward to this one: high budget and excellent production, leads that are talented and good looking....it was a recipe for success but the writing is just so poor. No angst or proper chemistry building - they look all act like jealous and highly hormonal teenagers so I just can't be engaged. Storyline is key, I wish C drama directors would invest more time in their script and character/world building instead of throwing amazing CGI in the mix with talented actors hoping it will work.

Agree. Since TMOPB, AOL and Love and Destiny it seems that directors have been trying hard to push the childish, babish FL angle a lot. Not many historical dramas done well with a more mature chemistry.
