The FL is officially the most insufferable, childish and annoying FL in the history of C drama (and the actress is now blacklisted forever in my books - I can't forgive that level of bad acting). Haha yes trust my instinct. I never watch C drama trailers as they give away too much but I usually know from the first episode if the ending will be sad. The songs' lyrics also give away a lot usually. If the ending is sad then you can come here and curse me. I HATE sad endings so I will curse myself too.
I LOVE this drama. The best of 2020 so far IMO. I pray it lasts. Love the fact that the lead actors are more mature and can ACT!!! Love the natural chemistry, doesn't feel forced, they don't speak too much and when they do it is witty and feels organic. The ML looks like an actual king, very manly and royal. The FL does not act like a 12 year old and can fight. The suspense and pace are great....SO REFRESHING. I can't wait for more, Viki are way too slow subbing.

No, it doesn't make sense if you look at the chronology. You can clearly see her stabbing him during their wedding...he is the ML so he can't die half way through the drama. Lead actors only die at the very end of a drama. C drama directors are quite simplistic so I have now developed a great sixth sense when it comes to endings. You can tell they are rooting for the lead couple and won't let them die.
This drama is seriously overrated. They spend their time being alcoholics and the ML looks like the FL's baby sitter. She acts and talks like she is 12. It is not cute at all. I don't get the high rating.
I've paid vip on wetv so I'm on ep 8....OMG the actress is TERRIBLE. Even I could act better - I don't mind naive characters if they are played well. But she just looks stupid, reallly stupid. I love the ML and this is a proper romance drama (which I love) so I will keep on watching.

It ended beautifully but it was not satisfying enough. They suffered so much but we didn't get to see them as a couple AT ALL. Their chemistry is oustanding (thankfully) but the only flaw of this drama is the lack of passion in their relationship. It was all very innocent or suggested but considering how much they loved each other, I would have loved to see the type of skinship we got with General and I for instance. So second season could be about a more mature relationship and another trial. I wouldn't mind...I've watched many dramas and found it hard to find a couple I was rooting for as much. They just click effortlessly.

I've watched hundreds of dramas and in my experience if the chemistry is not there straight away, it won't get better. There is just something missing. But glad you are enjoying it.
How ironic this drama is for me. I had such high expectations as I found the ML and FL to be outstanding and absolute show stealer second leads in Ashes of love. But as the main couple they fall flat to me. They are objectively good actors but they just don't have "it". No chemistry at all IMO.
After reading more about the ML's personal life character, I have started to boycott every drama he is in. Such a shame as I really loved the Eternal Love.

It is honestly a great romantic drama. Not too deep but amazing chemistry between the leads, the ML acts the cold but caring character very well (and he is hot and manly) and the FL is funny and a very good actress. If you like romance driven dramas this one is great (better than the other romcoms out at the moment IMO).
