On See You in My 19th Life Jun 22, 2023
Upon initial expectations, I perceived this work as yet another trite and formulaic fantasy comedy-drama, only to be proven unequivocally wrong. The narrative propulsion stems primarily from the fantasy elements, while comedy, albeit present, assumes a secondary role. Instead, the series emanates an air of maturity, largely owing to its adept utilization of clever and witty dialogue, which imbues it with a discernible sense of humor. Cinematically, the drama exhibits remarkable finesse and precision, exemplified by its impeccably smooth execution and the resplendence of its vibrant color palette. This visual composition establishes an unprecedented ambiance, setting it apart from any other drama in my prior viewing repertoire.

Notably, the musical component emerges as a paramount contributor to its overall allure, surpassing even the accomplished cinematography. Departing from the predictable trajectory of employing buoyant melodies to accompany light-hearted scenes, the music displays a thoughtfully contrived departure from convention, favoring a distinctive approach. Although the plot harbors a few instances of convenient developments, it is imperative to acknowledge the genre's inherent license for fantastical elements, a realm in which this production excels remarkably, rendering any such qualms inconsequential.

The acting performances warrant commendation, with particular emphasis on the child actresses who exhibit an astonishing display of talent, gripping viewers with their captivating and profoundly impressive delivery. The characters themselves exude a magnetic charisma, effortlessly endearing themselves to the audience. In essence, the drama's distinctive persona evokes recollections off the drama - "It's Okay to Not be Okay," wherein a superficial appraisal belies its true artistic depth, rapidly engrossing and enthralling spectators through its nuanced qualities.

Initially, the plot may appear unassuming, lacking in distinction. However, upon closer examination, one unearths a multifaceted narrative replete with commendable attributes, engendering a heightened sense of appreciation. Personally, I await the evolution of this series with great anticipation, as its auspicious beginnings suggest the potential to ascend the ranks and secure a coveted position among my cherished favorites.

This is pretty much a popularity list. The ranking just makes no sense.

Title True to Love
They could just end the drama here at ep8 and honestly I wouldnt mind. Most romance dramas get really stale and uninteresting after the first half, hope that isn't the case with this one. It's really well made, from the writing, great characters and directing to the actors delivery. Even though this is a rom-com it doesn't feel stupid but quite mature and interesting in the way its made, sort of a breath of fresh air in this genre. A great watch, hope the drama keeps up in the same fashion.

Is this drama really that bad? 7.9 MDL rating for a K-drama seems exceptionally low where K-dramas on MDL routinely…
I dont think it's bad at all. It's well made, well acted and feels realistic with pleasant atmosphere. Some people are a bit too sensitive and quick to criticise. I think it's difficult to rate dramas accordingly before watching them fully from start to finish. Personally, I've enjoyed watching these four episodes but in the end the only way to find out is to watch it yourself.

Title Kill It
This drama is just stupid on so many levels.
Plot is full of holes and characters make illogical decisions. Why would you shoot a guy that poses no to threat to you? If you must why in gods name would you drill him with bullets like one to the head wasnt enough to kill him and why not just a leg shot? Dumbest ending I've ever seen.
