Respectfully disagree. She definitely connected with him. The emotional connection was more overtly shown but the attraction was there too. She gave a copout reason for turning him down.

Exactly!! If they'd treated the show as a woman coming into her own and succeeding as a single, strong woman then fine. Do that. But they didn't!! The deliberate buildup of a romance that went nowhere is an insult to viewers and to the FL too!! I don't buy that she wanted to be alone forever, and she definitlely connected with the SML. No idea what the heck the writers were thinking.
