Since when is porn considered something criminal that you can't even write in full, lmao?
Maybe you can call Freud again to justify me too?!! Honestly, though, using Freud as a neo-liberal pioneer of modern open sexuality is mind-boggling. But given his misogynistic findings and outlook, I guess you are in line to discredit another person on their justifiable question.

Whenever a Korean actor starts to make it big they next some shit happens and their career ends. Same happened…
You do realize right, that some of the accused actors from these dramas you listed, are actually horrible people, that bullied and harassed their victims. And mind you, I am not saying all of them but for sure some of them.
The reason the victims came out when they did is most likely from being traumatized by seeing their bullies being celebrated everywhere when their dramas became hits. So rather than being careful I word suggest being a better human is the way to go, if you want to survive not only in K showbiz, but anywhere in the world.

No you're right! We should all just smile and praise him and send Goodluck wishes to get a trainer to teach him…
Well then by that standard and reasoning everyone is justified to posting gross NSFW on their public and social forums, just cause ā€œit’s a jokeā€ to certain people or ā€œNON Koreansā€ (as you termed)! We should then start celebrating these ā€œNON Koreansā€ too, just to beat the double standard allegation!!

Basically even if its abhorrent and a disgusting, if a section of people enjoy it then the culpability of online share of said disgusting material is totally cool and justified, because calling it out is conducting double standard especially if a celebrity is involved!! Amazing logic!

Can we get another round of applause, please?!!

People are defending him because it really could be a genuine mistake. Heck he might have wanted to send it to…
What kinda bs is this?!!! Nothing's gonna happen to him like literally, look at his co-actors in SG, who actually committed horrific crimes and are still thriving! People are gonna forget this, and move on in less than a month. At most Park Sunghoon might lose out on getting cast in a couple of dramas and variety shows until Feb or March.

The evidence doesn't also show that he didn't watch. Accountability is not about bringing anyone down while excusing is certainly allowing perversion to be accepted as normal.

As I wrote, even as a mistake, he is accountable for his mistakes. He is not a newcomer or a child. And as I also said, he is probably a good person.

However, the whole defense of he was trying to send it to his agency, I am sure the name of the NSFW, or maybe the link (if he had it), or a description of the content in writing could have sufficed instead of the graphic picture would have been enough for his agency.

What is even funnier, or if I can say sadder, is the backtracking for his first and initial statement and explanation.

I have quoted exactly what the agency has said: "BH Entertainment officially posted a statement saying he accidentally uploaded it while ā€œchecking his DMsā€ "

This is the quote from an article published on the issue
"On December 30, when the controversy first arose after his post, his agency stated that he received the AV parody cover through a DM. He had been receiving an overwhelming amount of messages after Squid Game. And while checking them, he accidentally shared the photo on his Instagram story. But netizens were not so convinced, pointing out that it is not possible to share a photo on a story directly from a DM without saving it in your gallery first.

Park Sung Hoon faced double criticism for providing a 'lousy' explanation for what already was a problematic action. With his recent contradictory statement, many think the actor and his agency only changed their position after the massive backlash."

This isn't against Park Sung Hoon. The man is a human, and what was most likely a private "joke" accidentally spilled online. Perhaps, and most likely, he is a good man.

However, what is so crazy is the logic of the people condoning it. With pride, saying everyone having an issue with it are "woke-people", "whiny cretins" and we should "respectively STFU."

And, before anything, these are some of the reasons as to why he is supposedly as innocent as anyone can be, and we should all understand and excuse this and just smile and continue praising Park Sung Hoon!!

Well, these are the reasoning, I've seen so far:

1. As stated above: it was just an accident, so of course, he ain't at fault.
Of course, a grown man posting a gross-ass NSFW thing online accidentally, instead of privately but to a wider audience, should totally be excused!! Poor guy, we are "vilifying" him just for fun. He is not accountable for his own actions at all! How old was he again?!!

2. How do we know he even watched it?
The man found it funny or at least entertaining enough to possess it. And from the pic of it that he shared, it looks like female contestants are getting the D from behind from the guards. Given the relationship between the guards and contestants on the show, it still didn't register anything to him. But, we should all be open-minded, the tone deafness on his part should still be excused. We are just making this a big deal.

3. Its just porn, grow up everybody watches porn.
Yes, everybody watches porn, I agree. But not everybody watches porn where women are killed after the act, and not every porn video shows women being outright assaulted. So yes, anybody who watches porn knows that even porn has different categories. And while it's all acting, a grown man watching this specific type of porn is concerning if nothing else. And yes I am saying if he posted perhaps a different type of porn, something not this abhorrent the outrage wouldn't have been as bad.

4. It was only a joke!! He just wanted to tell a close associate that 'look what my drama has been turned into'.
If he thought this was worth a joke, truly shame on him.

And after everything, given South Korea's reputation of rape, assault, pornography, child pornography, and sex chat rooms being treated wayyyy more lightly than dealing with weed; the existing patriarchal and prevalent misogyny, him himself portraying a nuanced role, this is truly utterly shameful and even heartbreaking on Park Sung Hoon's part.

He is a good actor, and already several shitty people on this show are still having full-fledged outstanding careers, even after committing literally horrible crimes, so I don't actually think this incident will affect his career in the long run. It shouldn't. I hope too, it doesn't.

But the people defending him and calling names to anyone bringing up this issue would probably benefit from some soul-searching.
