Can we stop romanticizing a sexual assault felon and serial abuser as "complicated"?
Just cause you're truly bent on proving that you're dense, the commentator here to which I replied characterized Fujisawa as "complex" which regardless of his backstory (even if it's a sob story) is romanticizing a predator who abuses a vulnerable character into something interesting other than reprehensible.
Again never said this show is "deeply offensive".
Also, why are you so interested in my sexual life and sexual predilections?? Is that something you're into? Into what I like?? Are you like, into me?
Can we stop romanticizing a sexual assault felon and serial abuser as "complicated"?
Resorting to name calling, so "grown up"!!!!
Who's "us" though??!! And who said I think the show is "deeply offensive"??!!
Are you imagining things now?? To spell it out to you a supposed "grown-up" I find a character in the show to be reprehensible because of his abusive and criminal actions, that's it.
Also never said the show romanticized the assault!! Are you incapable of actually understanding written language? I said commentators here (specifically one comment) are romanticizing the said characters' actions. Please try to comprehend before rage-baiting and replying asinine things.
"Please detail for us what you saw that made it clear there was assault or even sex. Last we saw then, Fuji was nuzzling Sei's neck while Sei lay there passively and not in the least bit scared. If that was a scene of assault, it is one of the most poorly written, directed, and acted ones I have seen. Sei didn't seem scared, he seemed annoyed."
I am going to take this plea as you either being simple-minded, super dense, and obtuse OR you actually wanted to see the act of penetration itself, perhaps also the accompanying violence. Maybe that's how in your face you need assault scenes to be in both fiction and real life to understand assault and abuse.
In either case, though, plenty of people have commented here to answer and satisfy your curiosity regarding the assault which you so desperately deny. As for the show, it has also shown everything it needs to explicitly imply violence, sexual as well as emotional violence quite clearly.
I would understand the physical assault because Fujisawa is an angry character but sexual assault really ?? It…
Do you understand the concept that people rape people they are not sexually attracted/ or even platonically attracted to; people rape people they hate?? Or is this concept foreign??
Rape/Sexual Assault is about control, pleasure from abuse, domination, superiority, subjugation, and possession.
@StarSoul414 You're joking, right? I see sex education still has a loooong way to go. Giving up on resisting physically…
Myth: It’s only rape if the victim puts up a fight and resists.
Fact: Many states do not require the victim to resist in order to charge the offender with rape or sexual assault. Those who do not resist may feel if they do so, they will anger their attacker, resulting in more severe injury. Many assault experts say that victims should trust their instincts and intuition and do what they believe will most likely keep them alive. Not fighting or resisting an attack does not equal consent.
Hear again to repeat regardless of whatever is Fujisawa's sob story (if he even has one), or background, that man has been and is a definite Abuser from the start.
Sei's behavior and his mannerisms are exactly like a victim of control and abuse. He seems so zoned out. Not even…
If you go through the comment section you will undoubtedly come across people's comments, including mine, listing the abusive behaviors of both Fujisawa and Kaori, as well as how abused partners act and behave. If even after reading those and watching the series, you can't understand or see how Sei and Hagiwara are the victims then I am afraid there is nothing I or anyone can say or even the series can show to make you understand or empathize with the abused characters and the way abuse works.
Again never said this show is "deeply offensive".
Also, why are you so interested in my sexual life and sexual predilections?? Is that something you're into? Into what I like?? Are you like, into me?
Enlightening to know people with your mindset truly exist and have the audacity to call others stupid!
Please keep talking, exposing yourself in these comments on MDL is quite a feat.

The fact that people like you exist in real life is of genuine concern.
