I haven't read Jeff/ Barcode or Kim/ Chay fanfics, but then again I know of people who watch like Dark Porn and spend their entire lives without acting on it, or doing anything non consensual or criminal or anything like that. While some crazy people do act out fantasies and cause mayhem... It's just every individualistic.
So to me as long as it's in imagination with the real life acts being completely separate, I'm okay with people reading or writing smut... Like people write hardcore stuff on the internet all time, but not necessarily do any of that, even actually believe any of that is correct or right.
