Boston and Nick! They had one scene.. thatās it just one. It was the most vulnerable and heartbreaking scene of the entire episode. Itās obvious that Nick isnāt over Boston- he says as much to Sand at the campsite. He knows he loves this man but also believes that Boston will never want him in the same way. Most of us, upon seeing the person that hurt us in a bar with another person would either leave or act a fool with the person in front of them. Nick, however, takes it as an opportunity to let Boston know what heās lost. But he does it in the most beautiful and vulnerable way possible. A way that probably changed the entire trajectory of BostonNick. His words to Boston were honest and emotional and filled with love. āI just want to talk to you for the last timeā With this we already see Boston struggling with his emotions. He wants to be annoyed but the fact that he closes his eyes as if heās afraid that if he dares to look at Nick heāll back down. By the time Nick says āBeing with you made me so happyā Boston has already softened, his shoulders have dropped, his face has relaxed and heās now looking at Nick rather than anywhere else. Heās gotten the apology that he probably wanted right from the start and itās not laced with excuses or explanations. Just a simple āIām sorry for everythingā. The shock in Bostonās eyes when Nick says that he sees him as a man with talent, are words Ton has never heard before because nobody has ever seen him as anything but a jerk that sleeps around. It affects him so much that he has to avert his eyes upward to avoid tears and he barely succeeds. By the time Nick tells him that he loves him for who he isā¦. Ton is a goner. The soft way that he gazes at Nick tells the entire story, Boston wants to love and he wants desperately to be loved and accepted by someone who doesnāt want him to be anyone other than who he already is. He wants to be accepted and believed in (but doesn't even understand that's what he craves/needs/wants). And the shock, although brief, on Bostonās face when Nick said goodbye and actually walked away. I donāt think he ever truly thought Nick would leave him. His face became the face of regret: for not treating Nick better and unknowingly letting himself love him, sadness: at the knowledge that he did this to himself, pain: at the understanding that he hurt this person who only wanted his love and affection, and love: for a man that would have given him the world if he would have only allowed him to.
Neo brought so much vulnerability and emotion to a character that wanted everyone to believe that he wasnāt capable of feeling anythingā¦ and he did it without a single word. Mark broke our hearts today by simply saying words to Boston that heād probably never heard and doing it in a way, the only way Nick knows, gentle and loving even though it probably hurt him deeply.
Atom just seems weird, either he'll go after Nick or be a crybaby. And I don't like Cheum either.... So yeah, either way it's gonna be a mess all over again..
Atom's definitely gonna go and bitch to his sister, and Cheum already hates Boston and warned him to stay away. So she for sure will dig up major messy stuff again.
Did anyone else get the vibe from Nickās convo with Sand thatā¦ Nickā¦ is VERY inexperienced. Iām not saying Boston was his firstā¦ but maybe?! Idk. We know Nick does snooping online and uses social. But I get the vibe from his convo with Sand heās NEVER heard about S&M before. If youāve been online at allā¦ using.. any kind ofā¦ site or just watching anime youāll know what S&M is.
Also, we get some knowledge that Nick is well aware that Dan has been hitting on him so Nick has just been declining every time. He didnāt want a relationship but with a little push from Sand Nick invites Dan out. Not only that it seems that Nick researched what S&M was before going on their date to a club something Nick has never really done before. He told Sand so when Sand told Nick he knew Boston from YOLO the bar. Tell me Nickās definition of Daddy didnāt sound like someone used Google because Dan didnāt come up with his new nickname.
We also know Nick previously lived with his parents and his main reason for moving into Sandās was so Nick could have a visitor. Nick also was very confused about basic FWB things. He seemed genuinely curious if kissing Sand would do anything because of his lack of knowledge āMaybe we just overlooked each otherā because Nick is used to rejecting everyone. I donāt think he was a Virgin for the moral high ground like Mew. Maybe he was a virgin by situation but I really think he NEVER felt anything for anyone other than Boston before. No wonder just a photo could get him off. I find this fascinating since Boston hates Atom for being in two different leagues.
