If she had not said yes to the marriage, if she was not engaged, when Jang Hyun returned couldn't they have stayed at the same place? And, of course, you have to make sacrifices in love and I'm not blaming her for choosing her family's well-being over Jang Hyun, but yes she did agree to the proposal quite fast. Even if she believed he was dead and gone, is it too much to ask to wait some more months? She could have just waited perhaps only a little longer. And Jang Hyun asked before too, if she would wait for him, he would not go to Simyang.

I am not hating on Gil Chae, but for her it's basically what you sow, so you reap.

I am full-on jumping on the Jang Hyun/Chung Ah ship. Gil Chae chose her security, she chose her family's security over love, over him. And that's OK.
