The first two parts of last episode were good, moving, but when Krist needs to act in love and show attraction,…
I'm at a loss!! Dude literally is one of the better Thai actors out there!! And I honestly can't follow your train of thought. Is a lover not a friend?
I watched this season first, and honestly, as a stand-alone, it's really good! It was like, a second chance love, with the guy discovering he can love another woman and the girl knowing someone will protect and care for her. Truth be told, I would've even preferred if they just didn't have Naksu in her body at all, and she was just Bu-yeon, a great priestess with unimaginable powers that he rediscovered love with.
Some stories need to be told, regardless of the ending. There are plenty of happy dramas in the world, but there should be a few that stick to the truth, and only the brutality of truth, that hurts our hearts and questions humanity and feels completely jarring and out of place. These stories need to be told too. I wish D.P. continues for more seasons and never swerves from its all-consuming honesty. More Nina's deserve to be known, more culprits who roam free in the name of patriotism need to be known, and the pervading corruption and humiliation inflicted on the helpless need to be shown; broken hopeless hearts trying to survive this world need to be acknowledged. I hope D.P. never becomes just an "action drama", a commercial hit. It is perfect just the way it is. You don't even have to like it, to understand how important dramas like these are.
I liked everything about this, but (unpopular opinion) just somehow the chemistry between IU and Jin Goo just wasn't hitting it for me. I like have loved almost all their previous dramas (moon lovers and beyond evil are literally my faves) but here I just couldn't find their chemistry. Like something felt amiss. I don't even know how to explain it.
Completely agree. The blasting theme song tradition needs to die already.
I swear it's so irritating. Seriously they need to stop this 'bizarre' traditional of blaring the music, just when things start to get steamy and intimate. So fortunate BMF didn't do this!!
Something future BLs should definitely learn from BMF is how to do music for intimate scenes. Like seriously, so many BLs have such jarring music it completely feels out of place and breaks the pace of the story. With BMF they showed that less is more. You don't need crazy music and sound-design to backdrop a kiss or getting together. No sound or even well-crafted soft music works just as well, if not better.
I'll just give it a 10 for Michael's outstanding acting, complemented really, really well by Daniel. And their really unexpectedly amazing chemistry. Although the scriptwriter clearly didn't plan the plot well. It sometimes amazes me how low-budget productions have exceptional performances from actors Michael (and even Daniel) in this case, that forever stay underrated. Also can they just do one more series together?!
