This was absolute perfection from the beginning to the end. And the director did such an outstanding job of allowing me to feel EVERYONE's emotions and motivations like I was in all their heads. Which is not something I often see in dramas. And Bumseok was wrong in so many ways, but the main thing that broke the camel's back was his belief that the girl came between him and SuHo. But what he didn't understand was that to SuHo the girl wasn't his number one. SiEun was always SuHo's first choice, and vice versa. They would literally and figuratively lay down their lives for each other. Bumseok is like a symbolic device of how deranged and insecure people can become when they are treated like commodities without love, only knowing violence. His inferiority complex, his volatility, and his rage stemming from the absolutely inhumane way his father treated him, lead to the ultimate conclusion: two beautiful lives being destroyed and derailed. And SiEun my beautiful broken boy, barely holding it together himself, lost the only person who made him ever smile. (I can never forgive Bumseok for this). Jihoon's acting was phenomenal, his window-breaking scene deserves awards. I didn't even feel like he was acting, I felt he was living SiEun. And Hyun Wook was made for SuHo, he exudes that laid-back charm, the good-natured softness molded with iron fists as a young man struggling to make ends meet but never giving up on being happy and optimistic. Hong Kyung too, is just amazing as Bumseok, all kudos to him for bringing such a complex character to life. Lastly I know this is not a BL, but forgive a girl for shipping, when the chemistry between SiEun and SuHo is sizzling. Also, it was SuHo first who said they were married in their past lives!! So...
I am enjoying this more than I thought I would. And honestly, I thought I would find the fujoshi aspect and the straight couple annoying, but I don't, I like them! And Shogun is sooo handsome 😻Totally "shipping" Maitoh and Shogun, but I also feel bad for Green ... I hope Green gets someone as well, maybe it could be Maitee?!! And even manager Paul and Nice are adorable together! This is surprisingly a really, fun little show, at least so far.
also I wanna know Minato's skincare routine, the man doesn't look a day above 25 or 26. Heck, he actually looks even younger. Every time he keeps saying he is middle-aged, I'm like no way dude.
Popped back in for a hot second to say I counted the number of times Pete chose Vegas, and lo and behold it was exactly 4 times.
One: when the baby hedgehog died Pete threw freedom to the winds and chose to be with a broken Vegas. Two: the same night when Vegas said he'd do Pete, but he wasn't into non-con stuff and was leaving, sulking away; Pete grabbed him by the collar and chose to make out with his captor. Three: when Vegas was about to kill himself, Pete lost it and shouted in his workplace (which was also the bloody battle arena) that he fucking loved Vegas and chose only him, no matter what. Four: In the hospital, when a bandaged and visibly shaken Vegas offered Pete, what he thought was a way out to "be happy" in life. Pete smiled softly and reiterated, that he is choosing Vegas to be his happily ever after and he won't take anything less.
I love a man who knows what he wants and goes for it. Every. Single. Time. Pete continues to an aspiration...
I have lost count of how many times I have watched and rewatched Forth and Beam. I wish they would do something again, together. Cause their freaking chemistry is just too hot to waste....
Ep 6 is peak love life crisis of Minato: his ex-crush is back, his ex-girlfriend is back, and the hot high school teenager is hardcore trying to seduce him over to the dark side!! LMAO
I have always liked a good cerebral villain, who is fleshed out and who I sympathize with and at the same time, I kinda hate as well... And Won Ji An's, Joon Kyung is giving me all that!!
This drama is giving me everything, the cutest leads, the most heart-rendering stories, and a villain I love to hate!!
That line where Ice said to Tee, "Why didn't you tell me you were coming to this restaurant, we could've taken the same car, to slow down Global Warming?" when Tee was burning inside from jealousy, I literally died laughing... 🤣🤣🤣 I love the silly, oblivious nerd that Ice is. He is an adorable dork, and honestly, we need more climate-aware men in BLs LMAO!!!!
I have been crying every week for Rain and Payoo, but how will I handle it when Rain and Payoo actually kiss?!! I also feel bad for Shun and Baibua, I hope they get their HEA too with someone who cares about them...
