It was ok... I just have a hard time with...
Where to begin? This is a bit lengthy so if you don’t want to read it so be it. It has some of my personal experiences/opinions in it.
First off, I am a stay at home mom. I don’t get how some mothers see this as losing their identity because they stay home to raise their kids. They see a career as being more rewarding to validate their lives. Being a mom who stays home is one of the greatest gift as a mother. You are there to help mold and shape these sweet, precious little people. To help them become better and strong and independent day by day. So being a stay at home mom and wife is one of the greatest rewards there is. I have always wanted to be home with my kids and homeschool them. And I am really blessed to be able to do that. I do not feel or ever felt I lost my identity or who I was. That being said... I know not every woman is like me, so I do not really hold it against them. I know that a lot of mothers HAVE to work outside the home to make ends meet. I know there are a LOT of single moms out there. I know there are woman who really are not cut out to be a stay at home mom. I hold NOTHING against them. I admire them for all they do and put up with. But for me I love being home with my kids. I am a landlord and will take a more active roll in it once my children are more grown. So I will work later on just not while my kids are of school age. So for the show...
This show had me mad at the husband and mad at the wife. I get both sides I really do. I have a husband who puts his family first above his job. So the husband made me mad when he could not get why the wife wanted to divorce. Everyone around him was trying to get him to see what she was talking about but he did not get it. The other “wives” of his business partners ticked me off! What right did they have to put her down for her beliefs and what she wanted to accomplish. And how the men talked about her after she left... if that was my husband he would have told them off. Boss or no boss don’t put my spouse down in front of me. My dad did it once to my mom and boy he never did it again after that. It comes down to respect! And I do understand that here in the U.S. we are more forward thinkers when it comes to women, work, and family. Seems that other countries the women are still fighting for their chance at choosing how they want to live and work.
If there is any lessons to learn here...
1: Husbands need to help out. Our world is fast paced and it is almost not enough for just the wife to be the only homemaker and Vice a versa... it is almost not enough for the husband to be the only bread winner. Times have changed in this regard and we need to learn to adapt and work together.
2: Wives can still find validation as a mom. It is very rewarding. Just like the FL said, when your baby calls you “mom” it is a wonderful experience! It makes you feel like you are someone important. You realize that there is a little person counting on you! They love and adore you. You become their world! It is a wonderful feeling!
3: Communicate! Listen and help each other out.
4: Men! Stay the heck away from other women! Don’t put yourselves in a situation where there are temptations and where others see it as cheating even if you are not. Avoid the very appearance of evil!
Storyline - Haha ok so I rated the story kind of higher than most because it really shows the struggles of real life married couples who both want a career. I think they did a great job. I had a hard time when the husband hung out to with his assistant. I also had a hard time with the husbands failure to really stop and listen to what his wife was saying. He was a jerk in that sense. He really did not even try to understand her. He told her she was selfish. She was a bit selfish. They both were at fault. I am glad he finally came around and saw it from her point of view. So many times I wanted to be her and just walk away or really tell him off! And the higher ups he worked with I wanted to be in her shoes and really tell them where to go. Haha good thing it was NOT me! Hubby would have been fired. I don’t take crap from anyone! Lol
Acting/Cast - I really think the cast did a great job. The emotion was there. And it was really well played.
Music - was good. I liked it.
Rewatch - probably not. I don’t watch shows like this to often. They make my blood boil. Lol! So rewatch for me is not that high.
