Because SangXi is a mystical divine being capable of nurturing and bringing things to life. The fl didn’t generate from the pearl. She is the pearl, that’s her true form. I guess the pearl was able to take human form after being nurtured. I am sure they will try to explain it in the drama. But remember this is pure fantasy.
I was referring to the rapport between the leads. Can you give maybe one major difference. Is the lead nicer here than the novel. Is he a grey character in the novel?
While she’s dead, her body will not decompose for a 1000 years and still retains its nurturing capabilities. She looks more like she’s in a coma than dead. That’s according to the novel.
According to the novel, it’s a bit more complicated then that. So the mom (Ningxi) was never intimate with Gao Qiumin’s father. Ningxi committed suicide before the wedding thinking SangQi whom she loved had died. Her sister (NingZhen, Qiumin’s aunt) had to pretend to be her and married the father to conceal the truth of her death. The father knew that he married NingZhen. Furthermore, he only wanted to marry Ningxi to nurture the chaos pearl. Ningxi is a divine maiden and has healing and nurturing powers even after death which can last a 1000 years. So the father, the previous master of the Mirage sect opened up her dead body (😢) while a horrified NingZhen looked on to place the chaos pearl inside of her so that she could nurture it. The father also put a drop of his blood inside of her with the pearl. When Qiumin was born, they said to everyone that SangXi had died in childbirth, which isn’t true at all. Also, when they saw the light that day, they all thought that Gao Qiumin was a product of the father’s blood and the chaos pearl - like she merged with it. This is why they have been treating like she’s so precious. The light they saw was actually the chaos pearl escaping from the womb when Qiumin was born. This is why the master said “we were wrong” when Qiumin described the marking on the fl’s forehead. The fl is actually the chaos pearl in her true form. She shares a blood connection with Qiumin through the mom (SangXi). Qiumin was born from the blood, and the fl was nurtured in the dead mom’s body. She shares no connection with the father nor SQ. The mom was a maiden was she died.
Also, SQ has a soft spot for the fl because he could sense some of SangXi’s aura in her. He is obsessed with SangXi and wants to find her body and the chaos pearl in order to revive her, all the while hating her for thinking she attacked and tried to kill him.
Except, she didn’t. It was actually her sister pretending to be her who attacked SQ. SZ knew her sister loved SQ and actually told the mirage master at the time of their forbidden love and took part of the planned attack against him by pretending to be her.
So the sister has been hating on SQ because she convinced herself that what she did was not wrong and what happened to her sister is all of SQ’s fault.
