It is not clear to me what happpened to the fl at her workplace? did she get fired because she was not a team player? And did everything alone? I hope they will explain this aspect more as the story progresses.

Why would they get married? the drama is no longer following the novel since the huge plot device (the spring scene and what happened after) was removed.
