where in my message did I mention the lead actress? Just because someone does not like certain aspects of a drama does not make that person a hater or, especially, a hater of the actress. I happened to be a fan of the both the actress and the actor and that is one of the main reasons I tuned in.
Fight scenes and CGI are not needed? This is a xianxia, of course CGI is needed, because how else are they suppose to show us their immortal/god-like powers?
There are also conflicts, even wars, so fight scenes are also needed.

Overall an enjoyable xianxia drama, but one of my main disappointments was the fight scenes & CGI (I won’t even go over the lacklustre reunion between our main leads at the end).
If you want to see epic fight scenes and displays of different levels of power (God vs Demigod vs Immortal) this is not it!
Also, sometimes, when the four main leads are fighting the bad guys, the rest of the immortals are just standing there watching our heroes lol. Only their popcorn was missing. They also would conveniently all show up when the fight is done lol.
Furthermore, evil beings were easily vanquished. One of them vanquished with a little lighting! For reference, see Ep 26 at 28:31-28:57 - it was laughable

Yes, he is awful but all the evil ones were easily vanquished. While I enjoyed the drama, I will most likely not rewatch it. This is no epic love story.
