The ml in Rebel Princess — he had amazing screen presence. The last scene of ep 13 when the themed song starts to play, the way he stares at the fl, then grabs her hand and brings her into his embrace 🔥
and at ep 68, when he is walking up the stairs at 19:23, and grabs that sword, he looks so regal!!!
To me the saddest character was Hong Yi’s aunt. They all did her dirty!
Perhaps it’s for the best that he remains dead because I am sure he would not have been happy to learn that his beloved did all this evil stuff. He probably would’ve died again of a broken heart.
At least its HE, and we already know they will be together so there nothing much to show
So because they are limited they cannot give us a proper reunion with the leads? It takes less than a minute for them to run to each other, at least give us a hug.

I enjoyed the drama, but will I rewatch it? No. The reunion between the leads was lacklustre. I never really felt the passion between them like I felt it in other xiaxian couples: Eternal Love, Love & Destiny, Love & Redemption.
The CGI and fighting scenes were also lacklustre. Evil beings easily vanquished.
The acting was good - I’m a fan of both leads. The costumes were great. The chemistry between the leads was also good but, like I said, their love wasn’t passionate in my opinion, it was more sweet innocent love.
So you mean to tell me the ml comes back after a thousand years and we don’t even get a word, a kiss, a hug? and the two of them starting at each other with a smile on their face while 5 metres apart. 😕
