If I started this drama without watching the first one, will I miss out on a lot? For people who watched both dramas. do you recommend that I watch the first one as well? Or can I just dive into this one (I am more interested in this story than the first part but I dont want to be confused)?
The plot line of the main leads is pretty good, but other plot lines take majority of the screen time. Good thing though that they arent very interwined so one can easily just follow the main lead's story on its own
Really enjoying it so far and the chemistry is really good!
Yes! I really enjoy it. It's quite unpredictable and its different to other Chinese historical, fantasy drama…
Thank you!! I am open to different types of dramas, just for it to be good or interesting enough for me to keep going. Will check it out then. Thank you
Been watching dramas for such a long time, I am not easily impressed. But this drama was truly and utterly impressive in every way From writing to execution The acting and directing and the symoblisms were great! And the chemistry was undeniably good
It does, however, require a certain mood to properly enjoy it. So give it its time, or maybe comeback to it at a later time if u still have ur doubts. But surley comeback and don't miss out this amazing piece of work. It is 100% worth ur time!
Yanrou's wife is actually what he always believed Minglan to be. Minglan used to hide under the calm and virtuous woman who rarely shows her smartness. But she is actually a lot more complicated than that, way too much for him to handle. His wife, however, is just that, she is also very smart and calm and virtuous, just the way he always imagined Minglan to be. And his moment of realization was the best. She is also very smart, in the way she was able to get him to notice her and for her to get over her jealousy to see the bigger picture.
That Sheng Father is such a disgusting pig He is always cowardly and only know how to exert strength when it concerns his reputation, even if it meant going against what is right. 70 episodes and he is just as unfair and stupid. Cant believe he is hitting his son so badly!
He is the most pitiful he loves her but his duty more important I can’t blame him he was manipulated and lost…
Yes, this is exactly what I mean. But also, he doesn't really understand MingLan, she is way too smart and far sighted than him. In the long run, she would have had to either hide herself, or he would suffer with her
And Grunt is the best character, love everything about him and his relationship with everybody
Completely stole the show for me
It's my first time seeing him and I am loving him a lot
He just steals the show for me
And his expressions are so on point
On another note, the characters are coming together and I am loving each character so far

Even though it was over 70 episodes, I still hoped we can get even more! It's such a good drama, I wouldn't mind even more
Worth ur every minute!
