Ok bear with me. This is my first review. You know the dramas that have a low budget, simple story & average writing/acting but you end up loving them anyway. Well, A Girl & Three Sweethearts is one of those dramas.

I think its simplicity is why it excels expectations. It won't wow you or win a bunch of awards but it's enjoyable and will make you smile. When you come to care about the characters & what happens to them then I consider it a successful drama. I know I'm probably making this sound mediocre but I really did love it.

While it's a rom-com at heart, it's also about family. The brothers' relationship & love for each other is heartwarming. Misaki fits well into their lives and restaurant. Like their missing piece. The interaction between the 4 feels so real. From the happy times to even the angsty parts.

The romance is of course the main reason you're probably checking this drama out and it will make you swoon! I'm a sucker for when a couple start off hating each other and then fall for each other. How the relationship grows & evolves is what takes you on a journey. Mirei & Kento have a nice chemistry. Maybe it's cuz they've acted together before that there is an ease between them in their scenes.

Oh Kento. How I love him. I'm not blind to the fact that his acting is average but there's just something about him. I do have to say that this is the best acting I've seen from him. He's improving! Helps when he plays a character that has more emotions than his usual characters. Not a whole lot more though! Lol. He does good at the anger, confusion that his character goes through. Won't say when it happens but he has some really good silent acting when he flashes back to some moments. And of course he looks so good!

Mirei is so cute and pretty. She plays Misaki's cheerful personality well but also balances it out with her determination about her cooking. I'm not one to usually criticize appearance but I did sometimes have trouble buying her as a baker. Her arms are just so ridiculously thin that it's not plausible that she's someone one who mixes ingredients everyday.

Shohei and Shuhei as Chiaki and Touma, respectively, are the standouts acting-wise. Their characters have some interactions that are really good and emotional.

I honestly don't recall the music standing out to me but that can be a good thing. Better that than be completely mismatched and take you out of the scene. So it just kinda fits & subtly adds a scene without you realizing it.

A few cons: I wish Touma had more storyline. He was an absolute gem. The villain never amounted to anything and was just more of an annoyance. But really that's it for cons.

If you're looking for a nice, easy, fun drama then I definitely recommend A Girl & Three Sweethearts. Not too overwhelming. Not too underwhelming. But just right. ;)

This is my go-to movie when I need a good laugh. Don't let my scoring mislead you into thinking this is some groundbreaking movie. It's not. I'm judging it as it's genre, comedy. And as a comedy it's gold. You will literally laugh out loud.

Kang Ji Hwan is fantastic as a crazy, slob cop! He really gives it his all without going too over-the-top. Lee Hee Joon is also really funny as his partner. All the side cops & chief are great too. They really mesh well & feel like they're a unit that has been working together for awhile. Another comedic standout is Shin Min Chul as a model.

Without giving away specific scenes, I'll just say that the whole movie will have you laughing from start to finish. It's comedy galore! There's also a little romance and a few sweet, heartwarming moments too.

Plus, lots of eye candy! Including cameos from my loves: Kim Woo Bin & Park Bo Gum. :)

I see that Song Jae Rim is listed as another model cameo & there is a long-haired model like Jae Rim's hair used to be but I really don't think that's him. This movie isn't listed in his filmography on any other site.

So if you're looking for a good comedy then definitely check out Runway Cop. Don't take it seriously & just enjoy it for what it is.

If you can get past the female lead's voice (and that is a BIG if) then this is a pretty good movie. It has a little bit of everything. It's obviously a rom-com but it also has a compelling cops vs. criminals story & good action scenes.

Lee Dong Wook and Jun Soo Kyung are what make this movie worth watching. If it wasn't for them my cast score would be even lower. It's as low as it is strictly because of the female lead, Hyun Young. She's actually not a bad actress and pretty good at comedy but her voice is so grating that it's all you can focus on. But I will say that as the movie goes on you will get slightly used to it. But only slightly! And the writers are obviously aware of how annoying it is cuz they work in a few jokes about it.

Lee Dong Wook really carries this movie. He's very believable as someone who strives to be a great cop but has a phobia that can sometimes interfere with that. He's also very easy on the eyes.

This is my favorite role of Jun Soo Kyung's. Her character's personality & antics are laugh out loud funny. She will have you cracking up so much. Especially in the last 20 minutes.

The movie has a very good pace & doesn't drag. So if you're looking for some time to kill this is a good movie to watch. Just don't have the volume too loud... :)
