Watched it at the time of its airing. So good was the acting that I dropped it due only to an adult female lead wasting her time, her life, her brain compared to over millions of women on Mother Earth fighting into life to be respected, to be of good exemple to other girls and women. Good production to show when a woman is spoiled how ungrateful she is to life.
No, she is not pregnant in real life, her character is pregnant so they have her dress in loose clothing. The…
I was not aware that she also went through a depression as I don't follow actors' personal life. I shouldn't be surprised looking at her acting schedule. This doesn't shy away her beauty. Thank you for your feed back.
1st episode and I am in especially because it is a 30 minute story and only 24 episodes. It gives me time to relax between heavier stuff. I know that school bullying and random slapping women's face are brutal and illogical but easy story to follow. Hope these bullies will get their karma soon enough to allow me to enjoy the story line. The casting and wardrobe departments as usual for a republican story do an amazing job.
Was Sandra Ma pregnant during this filming ? What a courage she took for accepting that role. There were some of her scenes in which there were so many tension and abrupt physical interactions, I was so scared for her. To convey anger during some scenes is a real talent specially in her condition. Hope she relaxed between those scenes.
I'm only half way through of the You""be documentary and noticed how alike the real American aviators…
last follow up of the day, I've just messaged you a link.
Forgot to add this You**be documentary is similar to your question about Italian cooperation. Your research will lead you to how and why this country lost its French and African territories in exchange to immunity and no trials neither for its leaders nor its civilians. It was a slap on the face for the French , North African, West Indies, African civilians and veterans that kept their faith till the end for justice.
Thanks for the compliments in regards to my watchlist yours is very interesting. I just started to update this MDL's list as I was, for years, on now banned former sites (Dramaf**** and the like) and too expensive Vi**y sites. Fortunately I keep my list and comment on files so I can refer to them every now and then. And that list back to 1995 is to long including few SK and Jdramas. I have a collection of DVDs C and SKdramas and movies, a few Jmovies. When I have nostalgia of feel like watching amazing cinematography I re-watch them such as the 1997 Cmovie Journey to Western Xia Empire, the 2013 Saving Gereral Yang, the 2008 Red Cliff. Thinking about this gives me the crave to go for a hunt and buy some more althouth they are so difficult to find. Sadly there are no more DVD stores in my region. I'll have to hunt into my Chinatown.
Happy Cdrama watching (I am so behind), evenings are too short.

Shall message you on MD shortly when time allows me today but not on Italian cooperation with Germany during WWII as your local library and the net have more documents on their implications.
I keep in mind that human's memory is selective and history is written by the so called "winners" or "monney grabbers". And to summarize your wordings there is no ending to wars as they attract another war that attract more wars. I dare recommend you a 1029 page book excluding its 100 page index that would take you by the hand on how some of wars are based on and the link are made into some wars centuries back and centuries later till now. First of all I am not a muslim neither am I dedicated to any religion whatsoever, so there are sections of this book that I skipped. But it is so well detailed, written that the Bible itself or whatever would blush. I warn you though, to some extend, it is frightening to read should you compare it to actual events. I am lazy so here is a short intro from Wikipedia: Title : Al-Muqaddima Author : Ibn Khaldûn (27 May 1332 – 17 March 1406) born in Tunis died in Cairo, was an Arab scholar, historian, philosopher, and sociologist. He is widely acknowledged to be one of the greatest social scientists of the Middle Ages and considered by a number of scholars to be a major forerunner of historiography, sociology, economics, and demography studies.

I've just finished watching the documentary - with a box of tissues. Tlhks (not for the box of tissues) for the recommendation. I'll carry on with your other links. I am at the 12th episode of the The Guardians and 14th of River Sunset a little behind indeed. Will catch up this week-end. River Sunset is nesting oneself into the shoes of a non professional spy whose emotions aren't to be questioned and also the motivations of the invaders. The narrative of each story helps me once again decipher the complexity of human mind, heart, uglyness and greed over another human. Quite similar to the many Cdramas I watched such as Sparrow, Hurricane, Insects Awaken, The Disguiser, Battle of Changsha, Arrows on the Bowstring, Man's Inhumanity to Man, and so forth. I am aware that the japs were intrinsectly evil for other circumstances known only to them. I would never draw a line between the german nazzys and neither between the italian nazzys (no one dares talk about) by saying that the japs were worst because it is as minimizing what the germans did with the political collaboration of Mussolini, also as if minimizing what happened in the Goulag too many people forget. Evil is evil, the wordings worst of less have no place in a war. One could elaborate endlesly not only about this war also the inhumanity on the African race but it isn't the place. I lived in Gernamy for some years and heard both sides. I met elderly and their descendants that still carry the shame of their last leaders. I cannot make a conclusion in regards to the japanese elderly and their descendants as my encounter with them were through their litterature not related to the war. Sorry to say but I am aware of my destiny not being a descendant of the invaders. I talked to much...my apologies. Anyway this comment is only for you so whoever reads it I don't care.
For the history buffs, this drama is set against the backdrop of the impending Doolittle Raid after the bombing…
I'm only half way through of the You""be documentary and noticed how alike the real American aviators and the actors in this adaptation are. ..stunning. Gary Sinise's narration is so pleasant to listen to. See you around and once more thank you.
Ep 10 : I understand Ye Bi Ying's emotions when facing the japs...I really do. Her reactions are what is needed to raise the suspense and question some viewers...and Ning Chang plays her role (Ye Bi Ying) perfectly. Her performance makes my heart beat and the only sentence that pops to my mind is : "She is going to blow her cover".
On another note, this adaptation of WWII stories reminds me of the French movies covering that catastrophic period. To my point of view, what does make it so realistic are the addition of the American settings. I should elaborate by "realistic" that are other historical facts added through the lense of American implication. These American actors are doing a good job. I like the fact that their wordings are raw and not censored. I want to believe that this cinematography would attract more people to watch.
Earlier this morning, I posted the following in reply to a similar discussion about the PV and renewable energy…
This type of story isn't my cup of tea neither. Fortunately I had a pick and was able to finish it today although I skipped most of the plot except the solar parts. Should you have interest in many subjects, there is a 2022 Cdrama Our Times: Light in the Desert I dare recommand to you.

Thank you once more, your insight is valuable. I took the time to read carefully both reports. The diagrams are quite exhaustive and so detailed. I just finished this story by forwarding most of the plot in order to keep my interest on the development of the solar system. I am surprised that your comment didn't trigger negative wordings from few viewers. You are lucky 😂 I still wonder why people are so focused on the word "propaganda" for everything related to China's growth instead of questioning their respective media. The complexity of the mind is fascinating.
You might have come across the 2022 Cdrama Our Times: Light in the Desert. This was the time when I started to open my mind and my curiosity was triggered on renewal energy in Africa.
Nice reading you...see you around. Happy Cdrama watching.
Thank you for sharing your personal stories that resonate. Your godmother is a very strong woman, and may she…
I'm at 16th episode of Man's Inhumanity to Man. The 17th episode is not released yet unless it won't air. Except from the interactions with and between the japs, I skip most of the defect human bodies.
The dialogue between Bingrui and Kojima was utterly poignant and memorable. Even today, most people just accept…
Allow me to add, immunity from prosecution was given to these japanese in return for their chemical research. Many were expatriated in the US. Immunity from prosecution was also given to the italian in return for territories to the respective African states, the Balkans and French territories. Italy surrendered with Mussolini execution. Italy lost so much at the end of this war.
I lived in Germany around the 1980 and german syllabus erased this side of their history. Things have changed with the new generation.
My godmother was a veteran as a soldier-nurse. She is the one who guided me to my reading on WWII. There are stories she and her colleagues had never talked about in regards to her medical field. It was secretly guarded. Although Hiroshima was a warniing to all, research continued on 2 other islands in the Pacifique.
Yes I find it fascinating how human's brain works. One hemisphere fights to believe his leaders when the other hemisphere fights to reason for him/herself. There is so much to learn from neuroscience field. It's my passion.
Back to this Cdrama, I cannot find the 17th episode.
I am at the 2/3 of the 2nd episode and I feel sick. I cannot carry on. I put it aside for now.
Knowing that the US airforce aviators will be used as pawns hurt my heart.
My godmother was a nurse/soldier and cooperated at the D-Day operation. She was a veteran and decades later she received her French medal just a couple of months before her death. She never married, never complained, never blamed, never hated. She kept the horror stories for herself. She is my hero. In my youth, I overheard real life and death stories of that period. I am from the French West Indies and our elders never talked about the lack of food supplies and necessities during that war. For the elders enrolling voluntary to fight, some came back alive but never talked to their children about the war. As if they were mute or had no memory of this event or even as if nothing happened.
Because I wanted to understand what had happened, I watched too many movies related to WWII. I developed insomnia, nightmares. My parents were so worried about me. In my youth, I never slept in my bed. I was more comfortable sleeping with my cousins, brothers and sisters.
I am going to take a rest for now and will give it another try in some weeks.

I haven't read your previous comment for the only reason i've just had a pick at this Cdrama and came across these interesting episodes. I fast forwarded this story as it isn't my cup of tea. Fortunately i didn't drop it. This subject is dear to me be it in the East or African countries. Thank you for sharing. I shall read these articles straight after work. And believe me i cannot wait.
Yea actually I also learnt why China and the west are so at odds...it was nice to watch the Chinese perspective.…
This is your westerner's way of seen other countries's development.
So Man's Inhumanity to Man, the Opium War, the stolen tea industry, the Unit 731, the stolen artifacts, all were also a propaganda to you ?
But to you not the nazzy's supported by the italian gouvernment sitting on the fence during WWII and the appropriation by the US of the japanese's secret warfare weapons in exchange of immunity ?
Why are you so frightened of the development of the East ? Why are you watching chinese dramas for if not to take the chance to open your mind and think for yourself ?
