My rating is 9. Episode 16 a tormenting social narrative. Society has still a long way to walk. Society is made of humans. Humans are stuck into religions and taboos. Religions and taboos are dictated by rulers. Rulers have wicked souls. Wicked souls are ruled by ego. Ego is full of greed. Greed is limitless. This is like a bird in a cage liberty is in mourning. This was an amazing story.

Finished episode 9 At the end of this 9th episode, my 1st time in decades of watching Cdrama that i've decided to wait for the last episode to air to watch its ending then to resume from the 10th episode.
I have not rated this story yet as my emotions are all over. I need space, I need time, I need a clear mind, I need to set aside other series to fully embrace this story.
Never mind how harsh, brutal, painful each character has chosen its own path, this 9th episode has already convinced me that my biases should be put to rest. I confess that this Cdrama is changing entirely my hypocritical views on story telling.
I haven't read the book. I'm only daydreaming. Don't take my wording as statements.
That Yu Jing Xiu is a coward and let all the blame fall on his wify's shoulders, clueless Ya Ke.
The Fu Ting Yu's aunt Lady Zuo and her crappy son will pay for it...soon I hope.
Then will follow the downfall of Yu Jing Xiu's mother, Mrs Yu. I wonder why on MDL cast she is listed as "Guest Role". She has quite many scenes in this story. I love this actress voice. She is so dignified, she is cut for costume Cdramas.
I am sitted for this sworm of veteran actresses aka the soldiers' captains' and generals' wifeys. Fu Ting Yu will turn the table around and they will be her army.
