Title The Heir Spoiler
Episode 39. Why did they have to add a bunch of japanese here ? I could have done without them knowing perfectly that they had tried to steal chinese crafts. Why do I have to be reminded ot them. These shameful people ruin my mood in this story.

Another note, it takes 100 000 to 300 000 hammerings to perfect the ink paste. I couldn't believe it when I heard of that. What a dedication | What a craft !

I am allergic to Wlu Jin Yan. I watch a few Cdramas she played in just to keep in touch with new actors or with veteran actors. I don't like her acting. She has no soul. Seems to be a well written article though but couldn't finish the parts when describing hers.

The other paragraphs were interesting and they aligned with what I had shared with you in the past.

I was awaiting anxiously for this airing...and then !
I appreciate both main leads' acting either in costume or contemporary Cdramas.
Two directors and both worked together on well aclaimed Cdramas.
MDL hasn't completed he list of the casting yet. I am curious and looking forward to the list of veterans. Without them the gravy won't be that spicy.

Episode 33
Jia He wears the brand Converse. I found this detail interesting and it is added because this brand started in the 1900s and dominated the US market at that time. It then was acquired by Nike. Before this acquisition, it has a long history even during WWII. This brand hasn't aged.

Also uncle San Yuan is the art director of this series.

A thorough research of these years in rural and urban environments in China was a huge task involving different departments. The scenes ares what I imagined. The first years of the post revolution to present days are mind-blowing for an over 3000 year old country. What a ride they went through.

I'm seeing people question whether Ronghua is helping her family or secretly trying to sabotage them. It's clear…
It's getting spicier in the Tian's clan. Ronghua's attitude on her arrival at the ink test was not friendly. So, yes, it's getting spicier and I can't wait.

Ep 18
I was expecting her performance. But not that performance. I was holding back my tears as I didn't want to miss one single technique in her choreography. Indeed the audience was so taken aback that the idea of an impulsive ovation couldn't replace her audience deep amazement. I know that feeling when one sits there flabergasted, unable to move, cut out of the real world, almost breathless.

Now she has her own army behind her. She is not Mudan but Mulan. She is not a mythology. She has become reality.

It's like being in dreamland !
So many veteran actors !
So good at their craft in their respective character, that viewers fall into the trap. The cast department did an amazing job in recruiting them.

I am slow at watching this amazing series.
Episode 9
Watching Lai Di danced ballet under the rain is so moving. In just a few minutes she embraced the meaning of this art. This reminds me of the 1996 japanese movie Shall We Dance in which the main lead practiced his choreograhy under the bridge. That was a memorable scene.

Edit: If I remember it was a rainy late evening.

Episode 8 was brutal.
Political cleansing during this post revolution. Informers every where so similar to the cleansing of the French informers at that time. Women's heads were shaved and men killed.

Some however were innocent nonetheless this cleansing came from neighbours's revenge imputable to jealousy, envy. A shame that this type of massacre is minimized in history books. Really a shame.

NOT A SPOILER
Subtitles too fast so I made this for myself and share with whoever needs a few insignifiant somewhat insightful details to start with.

Di Renjie's companions's strenghts are :
Duan Shi Si : sharp ears, swift feet, former military scout
Chu Qing Lan : skilled at medecine and poison - will become Di Renjie's disciple
Lin Bu Yan : Di Renjie's beloved disciple, uses paintings to identify criminals

Enjoy !
