Why do you want to make his life easy? Some torture would be adequate 😉 By that I mean somebody leading him on, perhaps mooching off him and then dumping him in the most cruel way (ask Boston from Only Friends how to make it hurt the most - he is natural in that). For some people only experiencing makes them understand how bad their behaviour is.
I wonder what are the "parents" laws in Thailand - I presume it's his child, so is he going to be paying child support? How does co-parenting looks like? Then again she might not tell him about the child or there might be miscarriage (they happen up to 20 weeks).
The novel is based on the series, it's like reversal of what a show normally do, same as Never Let Me Go and Only…
I will give you bad news: only in Thai. So far all the novels mentioned above had only Thai versions for purchase (Only Friends had some fragments translated by fans but it's usually a few paragraphs - not the whole chapter)
I too did the calculation to USD. With 1.5k/mo USD, assuming he has his motorcycle paid off already, and he lives…
I maybe came across not clear - from my point of view the money he is earning is not adequate (I believe that in my country minimum is ~12,6 USD/h) however from local perspective he is earning a lot (I think he still goes back home at night): if he works 2h he earns more than average earns per day, so he gets like 5x per day than others.
Mhok gets 55 000 THB/month. His working hours are Monday-Saturday (=6 days), 8AM-6PM (=10h/day).
In the best case scenario he works max 24days/month. This makes 240h/month. This makes his hourly rate: ~229 THB = ~6,57 USD = ~6,03 EUR = ~5,16 GBP
In the worst case scenario, month with 31 days and of that 27 are working (I think that's the max) = 240h/month. This would make his hourly rate: ~204 THB = ~5,85 USD = ~5,37 EUR = ~4,6 GBP
He gets benefit like food and overtime pay (in my country Saturday + 2h/day would be on overtime pay from the get go, as one has 40h/week, so everything above is OT), I guess. I think that the pay is not so great from my perspective but I read that their living wage is like 14 202 THB/month and average salary in Bangkok is 25 000 THB/month - 40 000 THB/month, so from local perspective 55 000THB/month doesn't look so bad considering Mhok's qualifications. His hourly salary is not much lower than average daily (328 THB/day - 354THB/day).
Are you saying that if you find yourself in Thailand next week, you won't buy one of those black inhaler things,…
I read Love Syndrome (not recommending, as it's not greatly written and toxicity is romanticised) and I liked one of the places described there - a waterfall. I wanted to go there and see it, perhaps also bathe in it. So I started little search about it - it got massive damage (natural one, if I remember correctly) and it's out of use and it's going to take years for it to be in some sort of order 😭 I will admit that I have drank Oishi drink in Thailand as I was curious about the chewing think they always show in grape one - my opinion: 🤷♀️. I definitely do not plan to buy: car/scooter nor printer nor Lays (personal boycott since I heard about bow they treat workers) nor cat treats nor cosmetics (I like Korean ones and found several brands that my skin is not sensitive to) etc.
these boys really got me squealing over hands touching. I adore this so much
I feel like veteran of this after Chinese BLs XD I think that they are good training for anyone to understand how to convey (and spot them) feelings non-verbally.
This show … this show is everything. I’ve now watched more than 500 dramas, and this is as close to being…
Don't forget about the "Before Last Twilight" - there they get even more detailed about the challenges and how they were preparing both Jimmy and Sea for their roles. Respect for the whole crew and their dedication!
P'Aof's Moonlight Chicken is fantastic as well, I love the Li Ming-Heart relationship. The director is great at…
I only wish that he would make Alan/Gaipa develop more of a relationship (their individual storylines were great though - I rank them above Jim/Wen storyline).
They are both directed by P'Aof, that man is a genius!
I agree about P'Aof being a genius (if I remember correctly he directed A Tale of 1000 Stars and it was such a breath of fresh air for GMMTV at that time) but - I know it's unpopular opinion - Bad Buddy did not leave much of an impression on me. It was slightly better than other Uni series but not exactly groundbreaking or daring... At similar same time Not Me was being released and I was blown away by it by comparison. It's sad that GMM was not marketing it as they did with Bad Buddy and other series, additionally Not Me's budget was quite small (I think that had to cut 2 EPs). Still the series was great (Gun is simply a chameleon - cute and clueless in one shot, badass in another; let's add to it great First, social commentary and even incorporate real-life incident of rescuing kidnapped activists = recipe for success; I am not a fan of Off - he was better than in previous series but he is not on Gun's or First's level yet IMO).
I get you, the writing used to be more confusing and weirdly paced. Last Twilight is one of many new good thai…
I think it might be due to source materials - they usually base their series on novels but in case of Last Twilight* they had oryginal script and that makes a big difference (director and screenwriter are so important to make good series). Also social commentary is a nice change from usual highschool/uni/office romance that follows the same trajectory.
*as well as Only Friends and Not Me (I claim that it was not practically based on a novel because it had only names + the fact that twins switched places in common)
What sets P'Aof apart from other Thai directors is the intimacy he can portray with the barest of touches. Mohk…
I think he already knows but just refuses to accept it. Then comes to that his badminton partner, August - perhaps there was something brewing between them and that might make Day additionally confused about his feelings 🤔
I like how they are showing Mhok learning how to take care of Day (and not magically knowing everything). Like the stairs - he didn't say anything 1st time but then each subsequent time he remembered and even expanded (number of steps).
By that I mean somebody leading him on, perhaps mooching off him and then dumping him in the most cruel way (ask Boston from Only Friends how to make it hurt the most - he is natural in that). For some people only experiencing makes them understand how bad their behaviour is.

Is it going to be sold out before end of the series? 🤔
😉
Isn't it interesting how money are perceived in different countries?

It reminded me of that scene in "A time called you" 😭 (I watched only BL cut).
