This reminds me of Lee Tae-gon, he’s not married but refused to do intimate scenes, as a result he couldn’t do movies because of that.

And a lot of ladies wanted him to and most interviewers would ask him about it. He said he doesn’t feel comfortable with it and wouldn’t know how much he would have to give of himself and how far he would have to go.

I respected him from that day. And really he can create a romantic scene just by expression.

Gosh! Say that I again, I’ve evening thinking about that lately after watching The Road Home with Seven Tan, I can’t imagine what they have to go through write it off after making it look so natural and real.

It can’t be easy for the actors and actresses. Now imagine how their real partners feel watching all that, even if it’s curated.

I get that, and I was just saying I don’t find the love idea in his dramas lacking.

If you haven’t watched The Rise of the Phoenixes, please try. It’s very long, there’s one accidentally kiss in the drama but the acting is very good between leads.

Yes I read it, and I was disputing that. I just think chemistry is subjective like how beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I think he’s done pretty well chemistry and don’t see lack in this, especially if we look at context of the story.

I also watch dramas knowing that it’s just acting and not real, but the actors are real people who don’t need to compromise themselves needlessly.

I remember they complained about kisses in a heavy political drama like The Rise of the Phoenixes.

Quality work and script gets lower ratings because of lack of kisses and chemistry:-(

At first I just used to ignore this, but the more I saw it especially in cases where someone signed a contract to not kiss, I had to speak up.

Before I respect yours, please respect the actor’s decision first, that he respects his wife.

I would not have to “press” the issue had you shown that you respect other people’s decisions and views.

I watched Forever and Ever (modern) and his other historical, Under the power. He did a great job chemistry wise and minimum kiss.

I think he also respects the women he acts with. I see how he holds them with respect.

Acting is telling a story, not to compromise one’s values and real life.

We shouldn’t expect actors to compromise themselves and families in the name of acting.

We should also be learning that there’s more to relationships than just physical contact.

Also, you’ve costars getting married in real life from kissing as actors, so you want him to risk falling in love with an actress just because he’s an actor?

Kissing is a physical contact it takes a lot for these guys to restrain themselves and not fall in love or lust.

The romance gang don’t even care about the storyline and context, all they want is good chemistry and kisses/skinship even if it’s fluff.

Hope for a married man who has publicly said he would like to respect his wife, and you hope that he disrespects her for a “nice feeling”?

Then later get bashed by fans for not keeping his words, and attract rumours of divorce and cheating because now he no longer respects his wife for us to “feel good” while he kisses someone

Since you watched his other dramas and know this fact and reason for it, why are you disappointed and watching his dramas again?

Kiss lovers, how long do you plan to complain about knowing that ML respects his real wife by not kissing (like you want him to)? But you continue to watch.

Also, why watch his dramas knowing this fact but still complain about it?

Or do you just like soft porn in the name of romance without realising this kiss/skinship craving is going overboard now?
