We had a female general that wasn’t trying to be a man while pretending to be one.
She embraced her feminine side.
She is a perfect balance of a strong woman that knows that she’s not a man, she wasn’t scared to be vulnerable, emotional and wearing her heart on the sleeve.
Many women in real life fail dismally in perfecting this balance.
I love what the writer. Women will always need men and men will always need women in life. This was perfectly illustrated.
Of course the environment has to be conducive to a woman like that.
I am not a screenwriter so usually I skip the critiques on production as I don't understand it. I just know what…
True.
I think it’s difficult for writers to execute a novel inspired drama 100% for many reasons.
One of the is commercial reasons and that these are different medias with different audience/readers. They have a lot think about to make money and create a buzz.
Some of the books are not even popular or talked about, so how can they make money out of them without dramatising it?
Thats why it says “novel inspired” and gets screenwriters on top of the author of the book.
Novel readers should understand this, also it will be just downright “plagiarism” and render screenwriters useless.
Even with true stories, they add drama to make the audience interested, because it’s not a documentary.
I’m not sure if you watched The King Woman, which is based on true story, they added the FL storyline which did not exist in history, to keep viewers interested.
So, people should never expect the same novel writing in dramas.

I get you.
I just think a lot of people think a comment forum absolves them from oblivion and ignorance, also commenting about things they don’t know about without context.
It’s like thinking freedom of speech laws come with now restrictions and consequences.
It’s amazing how many suddenly become screenwriters of off someone else’s hard work, yet not starting production companies to put that brain into use:-)

I’ll wait for response.
I thought she had a perfect balance of being a strong and feminine woman.
Never been this impressed with a fighting FL.
They seem to be naturally good people at first but things get grey and they become treacherous.
The author seems to be a true romantic.
Does he reminds us of the 2ML from The Double?
