Honestly speaking, I didn't expect I would enjoy this season more than the first one. Are the cases predictable? Yes. Is the comedy corny or silly at times? Yes. Do I look forward to new episodes every week? Also yes. I love the dynamic the ML has with his new team leader. If we are going to compare her with the S1 FL, surely both are similar in being badass and having high morals. Yet, she is not doubting him and will go along with his ways of solving cases, which brings a refreshing layer to their chaotic × order dynamic.
When the episode suddenly shifts to his point of view and we realize he’s in love with her for awhile but hiding because he thinks she’s in a relationship, seeing him trying to seize these small moments. His scene coming to find her on the sidewalk by the beach is absolute cinema. I’m in love with the yearning and the longing—it’s my favorite sentimental scene in the whole show. And then when he learns she lied about being in a relationship and confronted her although he is not expecting her to love him back he gently asks for her consent before acting on the fact that she’s single, and gives both her and me butterflies. I wish kdrama have more yearning scenes than dating phase scenes does that make me weird. 🥹😅
For those who’ve finished the drama (no spoilers please): I’m not big on action or fight scenes, but I love a good mystery and really like the cast. Are the story and mystery elements strong enough to make it worth watching?
A lot of people seem to think that Il Do killed Eun Nam's father, but why do I have this feeling that Deok Hui killed her husband because she suspected he was cheating on her? But I don't think the ML and FL are siblings; either Il Do is the real father of the ML or the FL, both tragic scenarios for him: the son he tried to kill, or the daughter who did not accept him
