I thought WZY & MY's wedding was already filmed last week (indoors)? Yeah, apparently they were married in the 1st life, prob loveless... The Song Courtyard bromances still stand with the 3 after SQJ re-births. Actually, it's 5 when you inc- Ziyi, Lin Feiyuan, & Ji Chen😅.

I not sure if they removed it, but there were leaks today of what looks like SQJ giving a sword to MY in a red room setting, maybe it's another scene tho.

The production sounds big with them moving to Guizhou & Xinjiang, plus a planned variety show. That'll mean they'll be on this until Sept now🤔.

I heard there's a plan to film SQJ & MY's wedding, when there was none in the book. Looks like they want to create more of an emotional bond. Also, I really, really hope it's not to create a love triangle with SQJ/MY/WZY, that's too clichéd. There's push-back but I don't think they'll change their plans tbh.

Wow, it's hard for the cast/crew to be outdoors, lugging gear, & trekking every day in that wet humidity. Maybe (maybe) RZS fell ill from that, while DD lasts longer cause he's healthier. Hopefully, the scenes are done now.
Guizhou looks even further. Does that mean they'll all move from Hengdian to that town?

If they go with the visuals on the concept video, it'll be amazing & so perfect. It's what I imagine when I read those parts, too.

I'm also curious about SQJ's disguise, as he's like that for about 10 chapters. They prob won't give him prosthetics after what happened with WD. If they do, they're asking for trouble as the backlash will be even bigger🙃.

It sounds far for them to travel hours(?) to get there every day. The production seems serious with the settings. I wonder how they'll film the surreal scenes now.

It's like 'spot the prosthetic' now🥴. From what I see, & also what the photographers say, it's that he doesn't have anything on in these shots. I heard someone say there's still some on his nose, I'm not sure... but I think that's 95% him lol🙃 .

In WD's case, it's not over as that nose & chin could come back😏, as we have no idea/ context what the scenes were for. But because he's gone solo, it wasn't his agency or studio, but the fans who voiced it as a whole group. DD's fandom is bigger, if someone higher up on his 'supertalk' can coordinate together a respectfully written thing with the issues, to production, that could work better.

SQJ's supposed to have a beautiful and elaborate outfit made (reluctantly) by ZiYi WS. So they shouldn't miss that, as it's funny how that came about, and it's part of the dynamics of all the guys now at the Song Courtyard fighting amongst themselves. I really wonder if they'll keep in the interactions between them, as the book is really 'bromancy', ngl 😋.

I don't think WP will be dressed the same as SQJ, but he'll be in a cook/steward workwear, so like SQJ, be in some kind of 'beggar' clothes too😁, poss with a hat. Ji Chen might be the one who dresses finely out of them, as he's the naïve rich boy.

It'll be tricky to work around RZS as he has a lot of dialogue. At that 'meet', Yuan, ChenHZ & dad will feature again...maybe they were filming those latter parts to work around him not being available🤔 .

Lol, I'm not sure what they meant by 'disguise' now, cause we still see him clearly & so will the chars his hiding from😅.

I don't know if you saw, but the reuters of him eating & spitting grape seeds out... he was instantly Wei Ping. Looks like he's gonna be a cunning, ruffian troublemaker👻.

I haven't read the 'Calligraphy Contest' bit, so not sure how it's described. But obviously if it's repeated that they change things & he's been done bad, then his fandom should speak up. BUT from what I've seen with WD's situation, they need to appoint someone to speak 'nicely' to production as a whole group. All the separate rants/insults will deffo not get them to the table. WD also had idiots who insulted the production staff, like that's not gonna to make them give you what you want, as the power is in their hands, unfortunately🥴.

I saw them talking about 'notices', are they legit with what gets filmed? I can't imagine DD getting less than 40% for the whole series, as the story's about his journey. It will deviate in bits to introduce back stories. I think RZS being unable to film will affect him as their beginnings are tied. This also inc scenes with WP, as RZS is pivotal there too... I wonder what production will do if he needs more time to recover.

DD & WD (when he joins as cook) will be in the same clothes for a while tho😏. But SQJ should get v.nice clothes when he attends the 'meets', as it's described in the book. & in the 'secret realm' he will have big extended scenes of his journey battling diff elements, even himself. I hope they'll film it like how they did the concept vid, as it matches with what the book describes it⚡⚡🤞🏻.

I saw some of the talk. Are they saying the Huawei Sect parts with the Yuan disciple is added (remember...I started this book from the middle🙊). & that RJS had his story altered, too?

Yeah, it won't be like 'TBL', looks like they're going for an old-school wuxia heroic look. SQJ should be dressed finely when he goes to these 'meeting' events in the book. But it seems like both DD & WD will be in down-to-earth clothes.

SQJ has a kind of 'mirroring' scene later, where he infiltrates King Wei's camp in the secret realm, funnily also as a cook (the book makes it a point that he was upset WP parted ways saying his cooking sucked). He will do the same, and wear a bracelet that conceals his face from WP... With the fuss some of WD's fans have kicked up, they may think twice about doing the same to DD rn 🤐.

I saw the screentime & clothing thing...& some saying they better not put those prosthetics on DD too🙃. Looks like the production has pissed off both of their fandoms rn..

Me too, tho the scenes as Wei Ping is not small. Because I unconventionally started from the middle (don't judge me😅), & I'm on chap 182 now. I would guess going by the book so far, he's WP for around 25% of the time.

But it'll create a good contrast when he reverts back to Wei Zhenyu later...

I think some ppl have confused the scenes. Both leaks should be Wei Ping, & he is the one with the special make-up & prosthetics. I'm guessing the one with the headband might be when he meets RJS's char with his story as a wandering monk to gain his trust, & get close to SQJ🤔.

I feel the production will still use another actor's face to show what the others see him as, but to be realistic, they will film WP like this. Which is diff as most actors appear as themselves in-between.

I was not expecting them to put prosthetics on WD for his Wei Ping disguise. I thought they'd use another actor to show the illusion... His CN fans are not happy rn, they're concerned he'll be scolded cause some people can't tell it's prosthetics and think he's a PS face😱.

I'm ok with it as it's temporary. Tho, I had to agree when someone said, 'like what's the point of this disguise if SQJ can still see it's him🤣.

None of us are 'health & safety' experts, but COMMON sense would tell you that wasn't enough😒. MY has leverage. Production needs DD well & safe to keep the project on time. RZS's apparently off sick atm, so that puts pressure on the schedule. The production should look after the remaining actors, & DD to prevent other issues etc.

You're right about gjm & writing. Basically 2 hrs was his limit here, & slo-mo was used to stretch it out. I dropped 'FOF' & had it on 2.0 speed, the best parts were the trailers...

I orig thought he was tip-toed when they did that shot. Then they panned out & he was hanging😯... I couldn't look anymore, especially when you see the micro mattress at the bottom, like, why? It can't cost much to add loads of big padding at least.

I don't want to scare you. But since I saw that, & knew WD had gone into make-up on the 17th & 18th May (they're not allowed to show the hair part), but he was on a long standby of 15 hrs...I started to have ptsd of Guo JM & his madcap work practices, & time management. I hope this dir/production is not gonna be like this, as it'll be nail-biting the whole way now. I hope DD's team are dealing with the safety issue seriously, as they'd be mad not to🙏🏻.

You're psychic, I was going to mess you today too😮. I heard about GYQ poss being LFY, so it's confirmed! But didn't know about Tong Menshi as Ziyi. From what I've seen ( don't know what he's acting's like), but I can imagine him as Zyi too. Looks like this production is goin for all tall actors lol.
