I recommend this. It's a Xianxia that doesn't follow the usual format. It's puzzle-like & questions 'humans versus fate', with reversals & time loops thrown in. Most of the characters are grey, and it doesn't do absolutes of black and white, which I like. But that may be an issue for ppl who want a classic XX. There are a lot of good actors. If you come to care for any of the chars it will get you thinking long after it finishes.

I hope it turns out true. I've heard conflicting rumours that it's going to be done or that FXB already did his scenes last year, & it's slated for a summer release. It's sad for DL, but if it can be seen this way, I'm all for it. At least all the other actor's work wasn't in vain.

Ok, I get you now... I can't promise that won't happen (I'm just joking🤭). The ML & FL line is really strong, & to me, the 2ml's situation is not your typical set-up, especially as the story goes along. If you have time, maybe try it. If it's not for you, there are clips over in TikTok/Douyin to get the story that you wanted. In addition, the acting was great. As well as ZBB, SZN will surprise you here. & there's quite a few good-looking ppl in the cast, if that helps👻.

Do you mean you won't start the drama if the 2ml was a red flag? This 2 ml is complicated lol. He has 3 chars; I would say 1 of them could be 'red-flag' at certain points, so that might not sit with you😅. Most of the time he's gentle, and his char is an enigma, as it's debated who, or if, he loved. He has his own story outside the FL, & his arc is like a rollercoaster, definitely not a cookie-cutter 2ml. & like @Lightangel452 said, WD really brought this hard-to-play character to life😢.

You read my mind. The 'Xiao Yao' synopsis does sound vanilla. From the only pics I could get of WD (I left links further down the comments) & the reuters of the mains where they're all sugar ones. Their clothing & WD's make it look like they're in diff dramas. So fingers crossed there might be alot going on BTS we hadn't seen & it might actually surprise us.

I'm curious how 'Hi 6' turns out. According to x3 audience members who were there for a boyband member. WD looks better in rl than in his photos. They said none of the photos resembled him well, which is strange. They also hinted this ep will be very 'interesting'. O dear😅.

I haven't watched many that have long wrap-ups, & I have a short attention span, so I find (dir) Liu Tao's work (Blood of Youth, Destined) which has patterns of longer wrap-ups, & black V white set-ups, not for me. I always end up leaving 8 eps b4 the end as the ending is in sight & it can be predicted.

Here, they gave us an end BUT left off that little bit for you to mull over. For some, it's a no, & I would've liked another ep of wrap-up tbh. But it gets you thinking. Also, the story is not set up like a typical Xianxia, which is prob why I like it too.

They need diagrams🥴, but your explanations fit with how I see it too. They left it pretty open for other ideas too, depending on how you see the events.

TY for writing all those points! I feel that by TM not existing in the 3rd timeline, if there is an NXY it'll be without the 'Love Tribulation' curse and the TM showdown. So for MXL & XXC, it should be an obstacle-free timeline in that life...that's how I look at the end😅.

So true. His 4-year gap affected his resources, plus he doesn't have a 'background' in the C-ent. He is talented & intense with a unique 'fairy & devil' duality. I would love to see him play a demon or a grey Yandere ML.

But as 2ML, he's been memorable, & sometimes there are more opportunities to play complex/grey chars there as they're not restricted by 'values'. But agree, I'm hoping he gets good & interesting scripts now.

Hi✨. I agree about 'BR', I loved the whole crew. Like you, I can feel their creativity & intentions throughout, even with the low budget. The orig novel was a porno/erotica so WM basically slept her way thru her missions. I think the author who had no exp writing tame went a bit far in making WM suitable for the censors. The GZ char she kept the essence closer to the book, minus the sex/torture. Poss WM choosing to stay MAY be influenced by the fact they were hoping to do a part 2 at the time. The author wrote an epilogue where GZ met CA (me & @Klio talked about the ending on the 'BR' page).

Same, about ' Xiao Yao'. This time the dir has a budget, traffic stars, & it's on CCTV, which can restrict the decisions he can make. But because it's his orig screenplay, I'm excited and curious what his 2nd collab with WD will be like. Hopefully, it won't be a vanilla Xianxia.

I thought you watched 'YYM', I must've got you confused with someone else. He's quite diff here. He Shouye & the Master are: loving, devoted, seductive, & yandere (lol). & yes, about 'Hi 6'. I don't know what happened in the 2days between the recording. Maybe it was the LIVE he also did, but he was mobbed, even on his way home. I've never seen him look so stressed ever.
